4/16/04 - Lucy is doing great.  She is a happy girl.  She still doesn't get along with one of my cats and I am looking for a new home for him...but it's hard to find a good home for a 3yr old indoor cat...so we will just live as we are - with them picking on each other nonstop!

9/20/03 - Things here with Lucy are still great! She is a real sweatheart..I have been off from work recovering from surgery and she has slept w/me in the recliner for hours on end...I think she knows we need to just relax for a bit! She is a doll!

8/8/03 - Lucy is still doing great! I am so happy I was able to adopt her, she is a perfect fit here. Tucker probably wouldn't agree with that as she is still chasing him when she can, but I think deep down he enjoys it! We went back for more training and we are doing really well with that. She is happy and healthy and I am enjoying her so much!

5/23/03 - Lucy is doing great! I am still madly in love with her. She is so sweet, she loves to cuddle. We went through a major hair loss episode due to the stress of the moves, but now she looks great and is healthy and happy! She loves to race around my house - there is a racetrack worn in the grass now! She tries to get my older dog to chase her, but he just waits at the front of the house for her to come racing by then he jumps on her - they have a great time. She has made friends with one of my cats but still is harassing my other one - or maybe he is harassing her?! Thank you BAR for letting me adopt Lucy!

3/23/03 - Hi! I adopted Lucy this weekend, she is a doll! I just love her and so does my other dog Jake...they have been playing non-stop since she got here. She even mastered the spiral stairs on the first night, up and down! It took Jake four years to do that! Brenda did such a great job with her, she has been showing off her "sit" and "lay" commands. We are going to continue training this week, they are letting me pay pro-rated so we don't miss anything...she is so willing to learn and to please I'm sure she will graduate top of her class. I will keep you updated on her progress!

3/22/03 - Lucy has been adopted. She has been placed in a wonderful home and we are very happy for her.

3/16/03 - Since the weather has been so nice we all spent time outside playing this weekend and Lucy absolutely loved it. We took the dogs for a nice long walk again tonight. Lucy has completed two weeks of obedience training now and she is doing terrific she is a very quick learner, I'm so proud of her. She still pulls a bit on the leash, but she is a pup. Lucy does good in her crate while I'm at work all day and does not have any separation issues at all, even if I can't make it home during lunch everyday. She is an exceptionally good puppy, she's so silly, sweet, cute, energetic, and loveable - and waiting here for here for forever family.

3/7/03 - Lucy is really starting to feel at home, you should see this little girl play - she even gets old Mr.Coco, 12yr old boxer, into all the fun and games. The housetraining is coming along pretty well, she sleeps in my room at night now and does not have any accidents, nor does she in the crate while I'm away at work. She is one great little puppy, pretty mellow, easy going and like I said before very eager to please. Lucy will adjust well to any home well, she likes kids, other dogs, and although she is interested in the cats one bop on the nose from our older declawed cat and Lucy backed right away. She's getting into the routine of things and seems to thrive on a good schedule for meals, walks and potty breaks. She is a beautiful girl, stay tuned for new pictures of her coming soon !!

3/2/03 - Little Miss Lucy is Here. She is a real sweetheart, loves to give and receive lots of hugs and kisses. She is very gentle, so ladylike !! Lucy loves playing with the kids, because our other foster, Mr. Coco, just doesn't have the energy to keep up with her, but he is happy that she's here. We need to work on the housetraining, but she is going great when in the crate. We'll be introducing her later in the week with the cats. She is scheduled to have the stitches removed next weekend from her spay. She pulls a little on leash, but really enjoyed our evening stroll tonight. Thursday we are scheduled to begin Obedience training - this should come easy to her because she is very eager to please. She is a doll, and I will update regularly on her progress.

2/26/03 - Lucy is an owner surrender coming in to BAR as the family decided they did not want a larger dog. She is a very sweet brindle girl that loves to give LOTS of kisses.

Lucy will be spayed on Thursday and moved to her foster home on Saturday....Please watch for further updates on this cute little girl.
