4/20/04 - Despite a tough winter where our walks were rare due to the extreme cold, Madison is doing extremely well. She has been great with our newborn son, Gabriel James. He tries to pat her while she tries to lick his drool covered hands (not very lady-like). She is a complete bundle of energy and is the true boss of the house, despite her small size. Here is a picture of Maddy (right) with her brother, Barkley, on their own "Boxer Couch."

8/7/03 - MADISON HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY. SHE IS NEAR COMPLETION OF HER OBEDIENCE CLASSES THROUGH A LOCAL TRAINER (WWW.PETDOGTRAINING.COM). SHE LOVES RUNNING AROUND THE LOCAL DOG PARK WITH HER BROTHER BARKLEY. DESPITE HER SMALL SIZE, SHE "BOXES" AND WRESTLES WITH HER BROTHER UNTIL HE QUITS FROM EXHAUSTION. WE LOVE HER DEARLY!

5/24/03 - Each and every week Madison seems to be doing better and better. She is now set in her routines and is one of the most playful and energetic dogs we have ever seen. Her favorite activity is going to the dog park with her brother, Barkley, and chasing each other in circles until they both collapse from exhaustion. She will be starting her obedience classes soon but she has already mastered sit, paw, and come. She is a complete joy! Here is a picture of her sunbathing with Barkley.

3/16/03 - Despite a rough winter, where long walks were rare, Madison has been doing quite well. She had some issues getting used to her crate but is getting better each and every day. She loves "boxing" with her much bigger brother, Barkley. Despite her small size, she holds her own in their daily races on the beach. We have also been using the "Gentle Leader" in an effort to teach her how to walk like a lady while on her leash. Here is a recent pic of our our beautiful girl, Maddy!

1/17/03 - Madison is doing extremely well in her new home. She especially loves her new big brother, Barkley. She had a rough few days starting out...off to the vet to get her stitches out and to treat her kennel cough. Yet, this little girl continues to be a complete sweetheart, giving wiggles and kisses on a consistent basis.

1/11/03 - Little Miss Maddy (Madison) has gone home, she was very happy to meet her new family, gave little kisses and cuddled in their laps.  She loved her new boxer brother Barkley, and the two played well together before leaving.  She is going to be a very well loved little girl, and Maddy and her new boxer brother will be attending obedience training together.

12/28/02 - Maddy continues to thrive here at the in...she is just the sweetest girl I have ever had as a foster. Her fur is soft like a puppies fur and she loves for you to hold her and cuddle with her. She is getting over her heat cycle and has her appointment on January 14th for her spay. She loves all the dogs in the home and plays with all of them. I have lots of toys all over and Maddy just loves to play and tease the other boxer babies in the house. She has had a couple of accidents..pee pee...but nothing major. She is having a lot of fun playing here in all the snow. She runs right out with my guys and bounces and wrestles with the best of them. Her spots are pretty much non-existent at this point. Her family is just going to adore having this little girl around...

12/21/02 - Madison continues to do very well here at our Haven. I currently have 7 dogs in my home and she gets along with everyone of them. She loves to play and take turns with each dog and respects the older ones when they do not want to be bothered. She is great in the crate and will lay there and you will not hear a peep out of her...this is one super girl. I am so glad we were able to save her. BTW,  Maddy is pending adoption and has a four legged sibling just waiting to play with her....

12/14/02 - Guardian Angel Boxer Haven is announcing it's newest arrival...Madison, AKA Maddy. She is an 18 month old female, fawn, natural ears and a docked tail. Maddy comes to us as a stray from a shelter in PA. She was scheduled to be put to sleep as no one wanted her. She has a very light case of ring worm which we will clear up and she is scheduled for her spay on January 14th. Maddy has come into heat and this is why she is waiting on her spay...plus we want to clear up the ring worm first. Maddy is so tiny. I have never seen a boxer this small. She is also a bundle of energy and a total love bug. I was sitting on the couch and she climbed right up next to me for some real lovin. She then wiggled off the couch and went to get herself a toy and proceeded to toss it around and go after it like it was something live. This girl is a dream and once ready to go will not last long. Any family will be lucky to have her. Oh, and she has been around my cats and totally ignores them...that's a plus in most homes. Watch for more updates on Madison coming soon.....
