11/27/04 - Jake is great!  He loves playing with all the other dogs at the dog run.  We take him their twice daily.  He has made many friends.  He is really a wonderful and sweet dog, a great addition to our family.  I think he will love the snow, can’t wait.  We have to find him some booties for his paws.  I’ve attached a photo of him in his winter gear.  Hope you are well and thanks for everything.

7/18/04 - Jake has been adopted.

7/14/04 - Jake has made himself so much at home with his foster family, that they have decided to adopt him.  Good luck Jake!

7/10/04 - Jake is doing really well.  As he is getting more familiar with his surroundings, he is becoming more obedient with his command.
Jake really loves his long walks to the dog runs.  He has never picked a fight, but is a dog is bothering him, he just walks away.  He especially loves baby dogs, twice he laid down with them, rested them in his front legs and gave them many kisses.  He is very affectionate.
Jake does just as well with strangers and children.  He just loves all the attention.
Even though Jake seems to be adjusting well, he still gets nervous when left alone.  He has had an accident in his crate for the 3rd time when left alone.  When I open the crate door, he pulls his blanket out of the crate.  I am not sure why he has been doing this as he takes long walks at least 3 times a day, so I feel it has to do with being left alone.
Other than that, he is such a pleasure to have.  He is eating well, especially when I mix yogurt with his food.

7/7/04 - I got Jake 2 days ago. He adjusted to his surroundings fairly well.  He is a very loving and
playful dog.  He loves lots of attention.  I brought him to the park this morning and released him at
the dog walk.  He does really well with other dogs, I was initially worried about him with smaller
dogs, however he is careful not to over power them.  He has not had any accidents in the house,
however, he has had 2 accidents in his crate when I left him in there for a few minutes.  I think
this may have been from nervousness as it is unusual behavior.  Other than that he does really well
in his crate.  He prefers to be in his crate at night with the door open.  He stayed all night in
it, except early in the morning when he wanted to go for a walk.  Jake needs lots of attention,
when i walk around the house he follows by my side and at times tries to chew on my shoe laces or
just sticks his head between my feet when i am standing.  He has been trained and knows a few
commands.  He has taken on to his name very quickly as well.  He is such a sweet dog and very handsome
