Pertinent Information 10/7/04 - I was hoping that Lilly would be healthier than a boxer, since she has a bit of something else in her besides boxer. But Lilly proved to be more boxer than anything...she has hypothyroidism since the beginning of the year. She has lost the weight gain she had due to the medical problem and is looking good. Lilly likes Flash #344 that I adopted in January. They enjoy each other boxer style. Lilly has taken to disciplining Max, the foster boy. Lilly likes him and thinks if she helps me, I won't have to yell at him. She has watched him in his crate, wagging her tail, while he recovers from his seizures. She seems to be mothering him...it is so cute. Lilly has always been a joy to have & I could not have found better dog. 9/8/03 - Lilly continues to be a sweet, lovable little girl. After a few months of incorrect diagnosis of her itching problem, it was finally diagnosed as contagious skin mites. It required 6 weeks of bathing with special shampoo & body spray for her & my other boxer, & spraying of the house. Thank goodness it all worked....no more mites!! Lilly enjoys playing with her toys, playing tag, & eating. She sleeps & eats with her "sister", & has learned from her how to sit near the pantry where the snacks are. She is a great watchdog & would love to get to the rabbits, squirrels, deer & even the wild turkey in the yard, but she is in a fenced portion of the yard. I tried to explain to her that she probably couldn't catch them anyway, but she has a mind of her own about that. Ahhh..there is nothing like a fence for her protection & theirs. Lilly is definitely a keeper. You couldn't find a better, loveable baby. 3/17/03 - Well, there really isn't too much to update. Lilly is just a REALLY good, sweet dog. She only has one habit that not everyone likes...but I do...she climbs on your lap to give you kisses. I do business in the home, & although she is a great watchdog, there is no problems with the clients that have come into the house...she is ready to kiss everyone. I can't figure out why anyone would have given her up. She really is perfect little lady. Thanks for finding her. I couldn't get one any better. Now I have 2 great kids again. 2/17/03 - Lilly is a very sweet, well behaved little girl. She immediately adjusted very well. After trying to jump in the front seat of the car upon leaving her foster home, it did not take much for her to understand that she had to stay in the back seat. She looked out the window for a while at the scenery and eventually went to sleep, as the ride was almost 2 hours. It took a few days for her 6 year old sister to get used to her, but they now eat together, sleep together, ask for their cookies together, and get along fine. Lilly likes to play with her squeeky toys, enjoys tug of war and likes to play tag. She is a really good dog. Completely house trained & non destructive in any way. My girls have free run of the house, I do not own a crate, and Lilly, as her sister, do not touch a thing in the house that is not theirs. The two are great watch dogs together, except Lilly has whipped Princess in the face with her tail a few times when they are both dancing together when I come home. Princess is learning to watch out for that tail! Lilly loves the snow, but her paws are quite sensitive to the cold. She would stay out quite longer, as she loves to bury her face in the snow, but I limit her time out there due to her sensitive paws. She is one sweet, well behaved, little one, with a huge appetite, & loves to eat. She is just what I was looking for and she is loved. 12/13/02 - Cilly has been adopted and her new name is Lilly. 12/9/02 - Cilly is pending adoption. 11/30/02 - My sweet little Cilly is as precious as can be. She's so well behaved and loveable...it's like she's always been here. She plays beautifully with the the two "four legged boys" in the house and loves everyone that comes here. She's promised to show her "younger brother" how to sit and give paw, little does she know that that is going to be a major undertaking. <snicker> I just can't say enough nice things about this little girl. She lets me know when someone is here otherwise I don't hear a thing out of her. She asks to go outside, once out there she does her business then loves to race with the two boys. She will definitely make someone an excellent best friend...she stays very close to me all day long and is eager to give kisses or to cuddle. 11/19/02 - Cilly, being the much more "dignified lady" type, doesn't know quite what to make of my 2 hooligans that do nothing but wrestle and chase one another. She joins in with the chase around the dining room table but has declared she's off limits when the wrestling begins. She's a sweetie that gives very gentle boxer kisses. She's well behaved , barks when she hears someone come to the door, asks to go outside, goes right in her crate at night and doesn't make a peep until I let her out in the morning. When Cilly and I play with a toy she's very playful & truly loves attention. If you're looking for someone to cuddle with, someone that will just adore you, THIS is your gal ! 11/18/02
- After such an emotional morning, I was fortunate enough to
participate in Cilly's transport. She is a DOLL!! Rode in the truck and
just looked out the window...tried to get in my lap a couple times.... :)
You can tell that she just wants so badly to be loved! Whoever gets to
give her a forever home is very lucky. |
