1/14/03 - Over in the far corner is the champion, wearing white fur, weighing in at a whopping 56 lbs....Action Jackson !! That boy lives up to his nickname, he's rarely quiet. His latest feat is waiting until no one is looking then helping himself to anything that is on the dining room table...papers, cell phone, make up, gift bags, his antibiotics...you name it. If he's spotted then the chase game begins ( he loves this one too). He knows that he has something that I want and I'll try to catch him so we go round and round the table. (The things I do to entertain this boy.)  He's getting to be extremely strong which is to his advantage when he wants to pin you down and cover your face with boxer kisses. Jackie is a big white ball of energy that loves everyone.

11/19/02 - I was just informed that I did not adopt a boxer, that Jackson is indeed, part pony. Just before he was 4 months old, he weighed in at 41 lbs. which means he can very easily top out at 100 lbs. Now, we must add a stable to the property and the lord of the manor is not gonna be thrilled. <g> Jackson just loves everyone and is confident that everyone will love him. I adore his love of life and his curiosity about everything in life. He can be frightened by a leaf blowing by yet can decide to "take on" a running vacuum cleaner. Since adopting Jackson I've quit buying soap, make up remover and lotion...those boxer kisses remove anything if applied often enough.

10/21/02 - The first afternoon and evening that Jackson was here he was a very calm little guy. Wellllll...that didn't last long; he and Hawkeye haven't stopped playing since Monday morning.( They act the same age though Hawkeye is 3 years older. )
I have two fewer houseplants to water thanks to Jackson. He discovered how much fun it was to upend them all over the living room carpet. He's also learned how tasty things out of garbage are rolling eyes:: I now keep my garbage (in the wastebasket) on the counter. Moms can be so mean, no? lol
I decided that he might need a few more toys so I hit the pet store. I came home with two bags full of toys. What does he like the best? An old pocketbook of my daughter's.  Last night he got his head down in so far that he couldn't see and he panicked, started running backward all over the kitchen. (OK, so I laughed for a second after extricating him from purse. )
He also learned that if he stands close enough to the parrot's cage that he'll get food. We feed Bo (parrot) people food and he takes great pride in sharing with fellow critters. Poor Jackson got more than he bargained for yesterday; Bo also drenches the area when he bathes. lol
Jackson is very loving and very free with his kisses. He kisses anyone and anything.

Post Adoption Message 10/14/02 - Next time I adopt....please try and find me a friendly dog!  This guy loves everybody!!!!   He sits and cries because he wants to play with my 4 ferrets. What a character.
Now he's discovered our African Grey Parrot.  Every time the parrot says
something, the pup runs in the family room to see who is talking.  It has kept
him busy.  Wait til Bo (parrot) learns the pup's name which, by the way has been changed to Jackson - as in Action Jackson!

10/13/02 - Caspar has been adopted.

10/4/02 - Caspar is pending adoption!

10/2/02-Guardian Angel Boxer Haven is proud to present Caspar! Caspar is a 3 month old surrender for us to place in that special home.
He is a very smart pup and gets along with everyone and everything.
He does have a mild arterial stenosis and will require an echo cardiogram to be done at 6 months to one year old.
This boy deserves a chance a a long happy life...can you give it to him??
