3/11/05 - Wow where has the time gone. We have
had Shadow for a little over 2 yrs and it seems like a life time. He
is doing so wonderful. He and Kiesha are insupportable they
play and sleep together. Its funny when some one has not seen
a boxer do the jawing thing they think they are fighting. Making all
kinds of noise and play tug a war nicely. They can get a little
rambunctious and the furniture gets move but that's usually when the
weather is bad they wont go out to play .We love our two fur
kids I would not of wanted it any other way. He still loves his bath
jumps right in some times I think he is going to jump in when I am
trying to have a calgon. We love him with all our hearts. When
one of us is not home yet they are both at the window keeping watch,
and when we pull in the tail is going so fast he could properly fly
if he was lighter. They went to the vets got exams and shots, blood
work all is good, Shadow has lost 6 lbs and Kiesha 7 lbs. The vet
was impressed as most gain during the winter months but they have
there own dog door to run and play in the fenced in area. We love
our boxers !!!!!!!!!!!
7/3/04 - OK it has been a while, Just want all t0o know how Shadow is doing. FABULOUS we love him to pieces.
He and Kiesha do not like to be apart only to get more room on the bed. He is doing super. We love
him sooo much
3/29/04 - Hi to all, Shadow is just too funny. He loves to be in our lap and falls asleep. He loves his Kiesha, when she had to stay over at the vets and all he did was mope around the house and whine, would not play with his favorite toys he slept with me that night as he was lost with out her. Now that some of the snow is gone I can not get my plants out fast enough to transplant as he has been digging them up for me. He went to the vet for his yearly exam and was so funny watched Kiesha get a shot and temp and he tried to hide behind me. He passed with flying colors. He loves sniffing into the air and laying on the deck with the sun out. He is very mouthy and smart. He loves to go for rides, and loves his bathes. We love him SOOOO much. I just wish he would get along with other dogs but as long as he loves Kiesha that is all that matters. When Kiesha came home after surgery he was so gentle with her and stayed right by her side. I slept out on the floor in the living room with her so she could take it
easy and I could keep a good eye on her. Well Shadow slept at my head and Kiesha to my side and through out the night Shadow would get up and nudge Kiesha at her mouth and gentle put his paw on her head she would open her eyes and he would lay back down. Just checking to make sure she was ok. We
love watching them in action, Shadow took Bruce's water mask that goes to bath time Bubba and Kiesha went and brought it back to the bathroom. Shadow's expression Hey where are you going with that? we love our fur kids :):):):)
We can not imagine life with out them they are our babies.
12/22/03 - Merry Christmas to all. Well in 6 days Shadow will be with us a year :) I can not tell you how wonderful he is. He is just been wonderful to have. He has a great personality to boot !!. I did not know if he would try to mark the tree but he has not. Shadow and Kiesha have wrestled with it one day. Once in a while they get into stuff but we found that if we keep our youngest's door open nothing in the house is touched. I guess they feel more secure up on his bed. At Thanksgiving Shadow came in at 2:30am and jumped on me giving me kisses and smooshing his face into mine talking to me. So I got up he was all excited and I followed him and he went to the kitchen jumping and sniffing the air. Aah turkey. He was so funny, then he did the same thing when the dog door was frozen. Then this week he did it and fell asleep on me as he had the hick ups and I rubbed his belly and he burped a few times and went to sleep. I just love him soo much. He and Kiesha have had no more issues. When I had to take Kiesha to the vets as she was not feeling well and noticed another lump on her we did not get home till late and when we did arrive home Shadow was so happy to see her and just laid by her side for the night. Here he is still thinking he is a lap dog. WE LOVE HIM WITH ALL OUR HEARTS !!!!!!
9/5/03 - Hi Just to let you know Shadow is doing great. He is silly when we get up to early I whisper to him its to early and tell him to go back to bed and he does. They both got new beds for the living room and they had to rub their scent all over both of them. He loves his fur sister Kiesha they play great together. It is hard to believe that it will be 9 months. We are so grateful to have him. He has a great personality. We love him so much.
8/2/03 - Well Shadow went on his 3rd home visit last night. What a gentleman. He loved the ride as he snuggled up to me in the car. He is just sooooo wonderful. I can not imagine our life with out him. Right now he and his sister Kiesha are laying out with me as I write. They wont go to bed till I do. He is so sweet. I now get kisses when he wakes up. He is doing wonderful. I think he is just as happy to be here as we are. Thank you sooooo much.
6/19/03 - Hi to all. Shadow is doing just fine. He has not gotton in his pool but in due time. Shadow loves to run and play with Kiesha. He chases the birds. Very curious on all the night woods noises. Like the owls etc.We just love our little man So much !!! He still thinks hes a lap dog. But we wont tell him different. I enjoy bringing him on home visits and he does very well. I think if he had room on my Harley he and Kiesha would ride. He keeps an eye on Booby's place across the road and when some one pulls in He lets all know. We love him with all our hearts.
5/23/03 - Hi Shadow is giving more kisses as days go by. He is not afraid of thunderstorms but Kiesha is. They play so nice together. We have gone through 2 bags of toys as they play tug a war. So when I go shopping they know that there is a good chance that 2 new toys are in the bag. He loves to run around in the yard. Kiesha can still keep up with him. He is our Lit Mr Magoo as he falls asleep in sitting or standing position. He is soooooooo funny. He loves listening to the birds and the geese that land in the field across the road. We love him so much and I know he loves us too. When I sit on the floor Kiesha and Shadow come over and give kisses and flop down on me one trying to get a little closer to me. Just to let you know he is doing fabulous.
3/30/03 - Hi everyone, Just to let you know Shadow got his diploma on obedience. He did super !!!. We love him soooo much. He loves when the fireplace is going. He lays down and falls a sleep. With warmer weather Kiesha and him lays out on the deck. They are great together.No issues at all. He will hear her coming down the hall and his tail is going so fast and then he goes up and gives her a kiss. We are so happy to have him part of our family.
2/27/03 - Hi Just to let you know Shadow is doing great. He is almost done with obedience class and is passing with flying colors. He has been to the vets and was a big baby sticking with me like glue. We have only had a dominance issue once 2 weeks ago and it was minor. I raise my voice quit and then both settle down. We love him sooooooooooooo much. He loves going for rides. He loves the giggle ball and bats that around the house and growls at it. Then when he leaves it alone he is in pounce position then we tap it with our foot and the chase is on. He is really doing great and we all love him. He sleeps most of the time with his sister when My youngest sneaks in his brothers room to sleep. I will send more photos soon. Thank you to all
1/28/03 - Hi Everyone, Just want you to know that Shadow is doing fabulous. He loves us as much as we love him. He loves to go for rides and walks. Shadow and his sister Kiesha play and sleep together when out in the living room. They get along great.He is doing super in obedience class. 1/23/03 - I just want to let you know that Shadow is doing fabulous !!!!!!!! Here is a picture of Shadow and Kiesha after they had a bath and teeth brushed. He is doing great in obedience class. They are 2 peas in a pod. I am so lucky to have him. We love him so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Bruce has his radio in bed they both sleep with Vince. We have no issues. Every thing is going wonderful. It is hard to believe we have had Kiesha a yr Sunday and Shadow will be a month next Tuesday, its true time flies when your having fun.
1/4/03 - Hello Everyone at BAR
Well, Shadow has been with us a week tonight. And he has fit right in. He and Kiesha are doing great !!!! We love him dearly. He loves the snow and sitting on my lap in the rocking chair. He loves the boys and just likes to be rubbed down and hanging out. Tonight Shadow and Kiesha played tug a war with their toy. So here is a picture of that. He loves to ride and when a door bell goes off on TV they bark and think someone is here. Hope all is well with all of you. And Thank you Liz for a wonderful boy. We love him with all our hearts.

12/22/02 - He is such a good boy.... He did meet and greet w/ other dogs and people. He was such a sweetie.... He loved the truck and the fresh air :) it's hard to hang that head out the window w/ that dam Elizabethan collar..lol he feels it's cramping his style :) he has gained weight in the last week so it's not as loose as it was. it should be off by the end of the week when his stitches are removed.
12/17/02 - ...Shadow is healing very well from his neuter procedure... He has begun to gain weight. He loves pastina and chopmeat :) He has that 2x's a day along with his dog kibble. His ribs are starting to disappear. He and Madison have become fast friend. He beans and smiles when he sees her coming. It's the sweetest thing :) they play so gently :) He and Mason still have not had the opportunity to work on there relationship.. Because of his stitches his physical activity is restricted. So we will continue that into behind baby gates and crates :) this boy continues to bloom and is wonderful guest :)
12/13/02 - I cannot say enough about this doll baby boy! He is charming, house trained, obedience trained, and walks on a leash so nicely. He has sat through several of my sessions in the office. He approaches strangers slowly, but is friendly and loves to be around people. He lays down with his head on a pillow - just as sweet as can be with those BIG BROWN EYES :) He has begun to play with toys and loves to parade around with the fury ones. He is very proud when he finds a good one :) His only issue (that is temporary) is that he is having a slow recovery from being neutered. He is a little swollen and clearly uncomfortable, but has been seen by the vet just to ensure he is OK :) Even through his discomfort he is a gentleman. I will keep you posted on his progress :)
12/8/02 - Shadow made his way to BAR from a shelter by way of the BAR Holiday Party where he was greeted by a hoard of doting volunteers who think that he is one handsome, special boy. He was sprung from the shelter by Boxer Angel Liz and the two formed an immediate bond so off he went to her house as her very first foster. Look for updates on this young man.
