7/6/04 - Hi..  Toby is doing wonderful.  He remains our pride and joy.  He has a new brother Michael who is a pug and Scooch who is a tea cup yorkie.  He absolutely loves both of them.  Toby hasn't shown any signs of aggressive behavior with either of the puppies.  He is such a great dog.  The three of them chase each other around the house to see who can get to one end of the house before the other.  It is like a funniest home video....  Its great seeing Toby act like a six month old puppy again.

He loves to go for car rides.  He wants to be with you at all times.  Definitely the smooch of all smooches.  Thank you for asking for the update.

5/10/3 - Just want to send a well overdue update on Allie and Toby. It has been very hectic lately so I apologize for being tardy in my update. Allie and Toby are both doing very well. They love to play together and run through the house like two kids. Allie continues to have problems with housebreaking but we continue to work on it. Toby does put Allie in her place every once in a while. I think at times his bark is worse than his bite (figure of speech)... He loves Allie and the two are never separated. Allie is definately a Mommy's girl and at times I feel like I have a third leg. I can't clean the house or do anything without my partner right with me. She remains extremely active. Toby and Allie have made friends with the UPS man who now stops when they are outside and throws them a bone. Since Toby always barks with his hair standing on end this man has decided that he was eventually going to be Toby's friend. He is a boxer lover too..... Thanks so much ......

2/28/03 - Here is Toby's three month update. Toby has really come out of his shell and seems to be really bonding with us. His favorite time of the day is when we come in the door from work. His little tail just wags and wags. He wiggles and jumps and just can't wait to give us all his big wet boxer kisses. He loves to go for walks. At night he snuggles right next to you on the couch, and yes I have to confess he sleeps in bed with us too. He is our big baby.... Toby has had one private training lesson. The trainer really helped us a great deal, and we work with Toby every day with his little quirks. He and our Yorkie have become best friends. He loves our kitty's too and chasing them is a game that can be found at our house any time of the day. They play hid and seek with Toby and when he finds them he barks until they finally put him in his place. It is the funniest thing. Toby is such a great dog and we love him so much.... We are so glad his forever home is with us.....

1/30/03 - Hi Everyone! Here is my update on Toby that is due on 1/30/03. Toby has made himself right at home. He actually sleeps with us at night (Yes in bed) along with our Yorkie Chuckie. He loves to go for rides in the car. Usually he is just like a baby and falls asleep in the car. He loves to go outside for walks. Toby has such a personality. He is like another child to us. He looks at you and it is like words are coming from his mouth. He is such a good friend to my five year old too. She just loves him. In the morning his favorite thing to do is wake her up and then snuggle in bed with her. Toby is just a great dog that we are so glad to have as part of our family. Thanks so much.

11/30/02 - Toby has been adopted.

11/25/02 - Toby is pending adoption.

11/24/02 - This is Toby's second day at his new foster home. He is doing great. We introduced him to my daughter yesterday and seems to have absolutely no problems being near a child. We also introduced him to our little dog and he doesn't seem to mind him either. He definitely wants to play as he started to box him right away. He listens really well and obeys commands immediately. He is being spoiled at our house as he already takes his place on the couch and on my husbands lap. He has already given us lots of boxer kisses. He did very well in his kennel today while we were at work. He is a great dog!

11/22/02 - Toby arrived safe and sound today at his new foster home. He is a real handsome boy and looks good. He if fawn with white tips on his toes and a black mask. He is well mannered and definitely shows signs of having had obedience training. He has been introduced to cats and shows no signs of aggression towards them.

11/20/02 - Well, we have a new boy in the BAR ranks. I got him from one of my favorite shelters today. He is a VERY handsome boy!! He is fawn with white tips on his toes and chest, and a very black mask. He is in very good shape, nice build, around 65-70 lbs i estimate.
He was found tied to the shelter doors with a leash and collar last Wednesday, and he was already neutered. My experience is when a dog does into a shelter already neutered, well, that is a good sign.
Well, Beemer (my current foster) wanted to play, and this new boy was fine with that. He boxed beautifully, and does this growly, growly thing while he boxes. It sounds imposing, but it is quite harmless, apparently. (yes, they both had 6 ft leashes on :o))
He ate 3 cups of food, yogurt and American cheese included. He had no problem with hands by the bowl, or being touched while he ate.
He is also a very smart boy. I told him to "go lay down", and he went over to the pad i have down here on the tile floor, and layed down.....boy was i surprised. so now he had me curious, so i started doing some testing. Told him to "sit", which he did, then "paw", which he did, then "down", which he did. So, I'm impressed.
He is licking Beemers face now....I like this guy. He will be moving up to his foster home on Saturday, wish him luck.
