10/20/05 - Brutus has continued to be a great addition to our family.  He and Rosie get along very nicely, they really seem to love each other.  Brutus is really a gentle soul, we have never met a dog who yearns for affection the way he does.  It is really quite a sight seeing him give someone a hug, he is very careful and really wraps his paws around you.  We have had some trouble with him counter surfing, but we have just become more diligent about not leaving any food items around.  We are extremely happy to have Bru with us.

6/27/05 - I am writing to update on our two wonderful boxer children, Rosie and Brutus. We have had Brutus for about 3 weeks now and have cherished every moment he has been with us. He is a very gentle young dog and (we did not think this was possible) even more affectionate then Rosie. Both Rosie and Brutus have been playing very well together and we have not had any problems between them.
Rosie seems very happy to have another companion to play with. We recently took Rosie to the Vet for her follow up shots and she received a clean bill of health. She is a few pounds overweight, so we are reducing her diet a bit. Otherwise, she is in great health. Thanks everyone, keep up the great work.

6/9/05 - We have had Brutus for a few days now and things are going extremely well. When we introduced Brutus to Rosie they got along right away, this was a bit surprising since it usually takes Rosie a few minutes at least to warm up to another dog. They have been playing very well together thus far and really seem to be enjoying each other. Brutus was a bit sick during his first two days with us, but a little Pepto and time seemed to do the trick. We are very happy with both Brutus and Rosie, they are both perfect!

6/5/05 - Well the big Bru went home today...his new sister, BAR Rosie, is home awaiting his arrival. I don't think I have ever seen 2 people more excited about getting one of my fosters then this couple...Brutus will be very loved and spoiled.

6/2/05 - Brutus is pending adoption

5/31/05 - Brutus and three of my guys all got to go hiking today in a secluded park up the road...he was super...just as I expected him to be. We walked for about an hour. Brutus, Missy and Dakota all off lead running and playing up ahead of mom...Skittles my Shih Tzu is not as fast so I walked slow for her to keep up.
Brutus and all had a wonderful time...when they got a bit ahead all I had to do was yell "Don't go too far from mom" and all 3 turned around, stopped and waited for and and when I told them "go ahead" off they would go again. Such a please to have dogs that listen well....thank god for obedience training. My Missy didn't listen for a hill of beans when I got her and now she is wonderful.
Anyway, Brutus is now sleeping peacefully in the living room on a pillow that has a fluffy quilt on top of it...very content...I think later we may go to the ice cream stand and get him a cup of vanilla ice cream....He got to lick my vanilla pudding dish the other days and his eyes just lit up...I love this boy and you will too.

5/24/05 - Brutus has stopped in for what I expect to be a very short stay...he is a super boy that is great with dogs, cats and kids. He was surrendered to our rescue as the other dog in the home just would not accept him. This poor boy was getting beaten up all the time. The family was so very upset to give him up but felt it was best for him as he would be easier to place as he is such a great dog and their other one wanted to be an only dog.
Brutus is in my home with 4 other boxers (male and female) from ages 7 months to 6 yrs of age and 3 Shih Tzu's. There are also 3 cats and he is fine with all the animals. A big mushball wanting lots of hugs and kisses.
Gotta hurry though he will be gone quickly.
