4/11/05 - Week one is complete. The pecking order was established and Cracker is very happy being #2 in the pack. That being said, he and Diva are getting along great. Cracker (should have been named Shadow the way he follows you) is an absolute joy to have around. We have had a few accidents on the rug, but only first thing in the morning when he gets excited to be pet. He gets better each day as he becomes more familiar with his environment and his role in the house (he is going for the role of Court Jester).

4/4/05 -We would like to thank Andrea and Rob for their helping get Cracker to us. This is one big bouncing boxer boy. We ended up stopping in Utica to pick up a crate for the big boy. We got him home with no events and introduced him to our first BAR Baby, Diva. Would love to say that it went without a hitch, but Diva is just what her name implies, and we had one minor altercation that resulted in a draw. No blood no foul. They both went to their corners for ten minutes and got along perfectly after that. They both went to sleep with us. We awoke to find that cracker had pulled my slippers, my wife's stuffed animals, and her brand new $400 riding boots into a pile. What I thought was going to be an ugly mass of chewed leather and stuffing turned out to be a pile of "comfort" toys for the big boy. Not a tooth mark in any of the above mentioned items, although their was some drool. It appears that this guy is going to do fine with us as of this email. We would like to thank you for the work that you do on behalf of these animals and their friends. Ed and Jean Marie

4/3/05 - Cracker has been adopted.  He hit it off great with his new family.  He seemed to be very excited, and he seemed to like his forever parents.  Cracker, have a good life bud, you're a wonderful boy.  a bit jumpy, but still a good boy!

3/24/05 - Cracker is pending adoption

3/7/05 - Cracker is a highly energetic boy and needs a home where he will be able to exhaust this energy. Because of his high energy I would suggest a home without small children. He is a very muscular boy and has a lot of force with his jumps. He has the most wonderful features, and his eyes are absolutely loveable. He had a bath, shower actually, which he did pretty good after a small fight getting him in. He will need obedience classes and a lot of love. Could he be the boy for you?

3/6/05 -Cracker remains at Boxer Buddy Retreat as he was a bit too jumpy for his potential adopter. Cracker has done wonderfully here. He is very jumpy and needs to have obedience training. He is one loveable and beautiful boy. He has a lot of energy and needs a family that is accepting of high energy. He would be great with training. He is very smart and I am sure he will learn with proper training. He has been neutered and brought up to date. And the vet staff absolutely loved him. Highly energetic and so very loveable. I know he won't be in rescue long. I also know the right forever family is awaiting to hear about him.

2/21/05 - Cracker has joined us here at boxer buddy retreat. He is a very sweet boy with a lot of energy. He does need to learn manners though. When he goes outside, he tends to continuously jump up on anyone outside and when your sitting indoors in a chair. He will be going to the vet soon to be neutered and brought UTD with his vaccinations. He did not like the crate at first. It took time to get him used to it, but he does great now. We introduced him slowly to our guys, starting with our personal greeter Rudy. He does need a bath and has stains under his eyes, we hope to get that cleared up soon though. He has had no accidents in the house or in the crate. I am sure he will benefit from training.

2/20/05 - Cracker is a wonderful loving boxer boy.  He is slow with introductions as he is very skittish.  He did well on the ride here.  I will be setting up his vet appointments Monday, I am sure he will not be in rescue long.  He is very handsome.
