7/11/06 - Apollo has been with us for 3 months, and he has settled in nicely. It feels like he has been part of our family longer.  He has completed his obedience classes with flying colors, and continues to be a sweet and social dog.  Our two boys can't get enough of him.  Apollo loves to kiss them good night, and good morning.  We think Apollo believes he is one of the boys!!  Apollo has started to perform boxer wiggles when we come home, as well as hugging us with his whole body.  He forgets he is 60+ pounds!  Apollo has been traveling with us, and he loves the beach, taking long walks and visiting with family.  Even though Apollo is a white boxer, he continues to grow more spots.  It is very funny and cute, they just keep popping up--on his face, belly and back!  Apollo is very
social with other dogs, and he will be putting in a request for a little sister soon!  THANK YOU to all BAR volunteers involved for bringing Apollo to us! He is loved!!
We hope you like the new pictures of him to the right.

4/8/06 - It was love at first sight! Apollo is wonderful!  How many times do you see a dog, and say "what a great dog, I wish he was mine!"? Well, Apollo is that dog, and he is ours!  Since we got him home, he has settled in nicely.  He plays constantly with our 2 boys, and getting & giving lots of LOVE! He is following commands, and walking on a lease like a dream! Apollo has such a sweet soul, with eyes of a wise old man. He has completed our family (thanks to all the volunteers at BAR)!!!

4/3/06 - Apollo has been adopted

4/1/06 - Apollo is pending adoption

3/31/06 - Ok, real sorry I have not done this lately, been working a lot.   Anyway Apollo is doing great.   He absolutely loves my 2 dogs and he always wants to play.  He is sooo cute he is a sweetie but doesn't listen very
well yet.  He goes in his crate really well and doesn't act up unless he has to go potty.  He sleeps in my room
at night on his own bed.   His owner sent a big stuffed puppy which he loves and he always sleeps with it  - seems
like his security blanket.  All in all, Apollo doing very well.

3/17/06 - Sorry everyone that I haven't done this sooner, was going wait until Apollo was neutered.   I think
he is microchipped but I will have to look through all his info vet records etc.  Apollo came last Saturday and oh boy is he a doll!!! Typical puppy into everything, as far as I know he doesn't chew unless it's one of his toys,   He LOVES other dogs ..... No problem with cats.   He seems to be curious but that's about all.  He sleeps all night in our room which surprised me cause Mya didn't behave until she was at least 1 1/2.
He will definitely need training as he doesn't really walk well on a leash.  I am still learning about him but pretty much just a typical puppy...... will update tomorrow after I pick him up from the vet where he is being neutered.

3/13/06 - When my husband came home, I let my him get acquainted with Apollo and he likes him ALOT  ................
finally we let Brutus out with Apollo into the yard without Mya and of course Brut pinned him down kinda
showing him he is boss and Apollo accepted that very well.  Then we eventually let all three out and they were
all great playing together like they know each other for years .........  Watch for update on Apollo.

3/11/06 - From Apollo's Transporter, Sharon:  I picked up Apollo today at the Bob Evans restaurant off of the
NJ turnpike at exit 4.  Apollo was playing in the grass when I arrived.  He was having such a good time.  He is gorgeous and a bundle of energy.  He greeted me and is just such a happy boy.  He went into the carwith me with no problems.
The ride to his foster moms great.  Not a peep from Apollo.  I expected him to pee in the truck with all my boxer's scents but he didn't. He sat in the backseat and just looked out the window.  The former owner sent bags of stuff so he investigated all the bags while we drove to Alicia's.  We got to Alicia's and Apollo greeted Alicia and her young son.   Then Alicia, Matt and I went with Apollo into her fenced in yard tosay hi to Mia (Alicia's brindle 2 year old female).  Mia was in heaven.  The first thing she did was jump on Apollo and he was very good and laid
down.Mia and Apollo never growled at each other.  They chased, jumped and ran themselves crazy.  Alicia has a huge yard and the dogs had a wonderful time.
Alicia decided to wait until her husband came home to begin slowly introducing Apollo meet Brutus, Alicia's 6 year old male boxer, as he is very dominant.  While I helped put all of Apollo's stuff into Alicia's house I met Brutus.  He is a big fawn boy. He is a sweetheart.
