5/21/06 - Luther continues to do well.  He is great with the kids and is just a big lovable guy.  We get
comments from strangers saying how beautiful he is!  He is gentle with my 1 year old, and she is constantly trying to pick his nose!  He has never soiled in the house....but man, I was unprepared for how much this boy poops!  Five big loads a day?  Is that normal?  Between him and my babies, I feel like all I do is clean up poop.  He also is obsessed with eating---one day I returned from a 30 minute outing to find he jumped to the kitchen counter and stole a pear from the fruit bowl.  A pear?  Dogs eat pears?  He also is a pain at dinner time...stalking each of us until he is put into his bed.  Anyone have words of wisdom?  Please email me at susan.gibney4@verizon.net.  We love him...but he could use some "tweaking"!

4/21/06 - Luther has been adopted

4/18/06 - Luther is pending adoption

4/17/06 - Luther continues to do well.  We have some new pics coming, tonight.  He is doing much better with
Faye but he could still improve a bit.  He forgets from time to time who is pack leader and that it is NOT him.  He is extremely friendly and loves to play play play.  He is getting better at not jumping up on people. (he does not like to be ignored for bad behavior :))  He is filling out great and looks really handsome.  Luther will make a great family addition.

4/7/06 - Well Luther continues to do well.  He is full of energy and is a great dog all in all.  I have decided not to adopt Luther or any other fur baby at this time, due to a conflict with my current girl.  Luther and Faye have become great buddies but they are trying to dominate one another and take leadership role, sometimes engaging in rough play.  I have had some great information brought my way, Thanks Kim, to help my role as a better pack leader, and I put them into effect this morning.  I have 2 great dogs, but with head strong personalities and that combined with high energy, at this time is not a good combo.  Luther and Faye will be learning who's the boss from now on which is only going to help them tremendously and help Luther better his transition to his new forever home.  Whom ever is able to adopt this boy is going to be extremely lucky and happy.  I fell in love with him from first sight and you will not be disappointed.  Luther would be a great companion for another dog, I hope I haven't been taken wrong, but he would do good as an only dog as well.  And he has had a couple conversations with my one cat, quite funny, and would do well with them as well.

4/1/06 - Well Luther has been here for a week now and he has been great.  Things have been very rough this week and I am sorry I didn't update sooner.  Luther went to the vet on Wednesday and he had a fecal test and heart worm test.  Good news the heart worm was negative but he did have worms.  I gave him medicine one time for three days and he needs to be tested again in 3 months.  My vet told me I had a super dog and I was very lucky to have gotten 2 incredible boxers in a row.  He was very impressed with Luther.  We are still trying to get used his size, he's a growing boy and looks to have gained a little more weight since he's gotten here.  He did have a runny and snotty nose when he first got here but that has all cleared up.  I introduced him to the run and he's gotten a lot more playtime in with my dog since he has had the "ok" from the vet.  They have soooo much fun.  He is really good being tied on the run and doesn't pull at all.  He will be getting a bath tomorrow and I am sure will look even more handsome.

3/26/06 - Well Luther made it to our home last night.  What a handsome boy!!  Introductions were a breeze with this guy.  Gary and his family were right, he is a "Gentle Giant".  He is very soft with his playing and gives the best ever so gentle kisses.  He's got the most gorgeous eyes, ones that just steal your heart.  He loves his toys and is so silly and funny to watch.  Still very sore from his neuter, and Gary has been a God send of information and tips for me..Thanks a million Gary.  Luther is very obedient and hasn't even attempted to initiate my home.

From his transporters:
Jeff:
Luther was the sweetest guy to transport. He decided that putting a leg over my wife's shoulder and using her for a leaning post was the way to go. He spent the entire ride looking out the windshield and giving wet boxer kisses to both of us.  He would be welcome in our home anytime!
