4/8/06 - Thank you for giving us the opportunity to meet & adopt Scooby!  She is so sweet and adorable and loves giving lots of kisses.  She is getting along well with our other boxer, Gus.  He is glad to have a new playmate.  Although, I think he is a little jealous.  He got used to being the only "child" these last few months (since our other boxer, Xena, passed away).  She had only been with us four days, but Scooby is already very much part of the family.  I've attached some pictures of her with her new family!

4/5/06 - Our little Miss Scooby just left with her new humans and her fur brother (a handsome brindle boxer named Gus - also from rescue). After a few scuffles during the initial introductions the two of them immediately settled in to play play play - discovering that the pool cover was a great place to go and roll around in the water! You could see that the match was a "perfect fit" as they all got into the car to drive away. Once again, rescue has changed the course of another little fur baby's life and made a family very happy!

4/1/06 - Miss Scooby is pending adoption

3/30/06 - Just a brief update for today - Our little Miss Scooby is such a sweetheart of a girl! She continues to be a great houseguest. We saw the vet this week and she is in perfect health and all caught up on her vaccinations. The vet also said that her teeth were in good shape and that she has good muscle tone. Quite a cute “little package” if I do say so myself! She was extremely well mannered for most of the exam and the shots...at least up until the point that the doctor tried to take her temperature...she looked at him like he was crazy - it was hilarious. She literally glared at him
and tilted her head to the side as if to say "and you think you are putting that WHERE"? She had everyone in the room laughing. For the rest of the visit she kept her shoulders facing the doctor and her bottom as far away from him as she could get it!
Miss Scooby and Mac (the Boxer) have been having a ton of fun outside romping and playing as the weather has been so nice. As usual, Penny (the Scotty) acts like Scooby doesn’t even exist and ignores them both completely. I think that Mac will miss her when she leaves us. He asked me if we could keep her the other night but I had to tell him no – we wouldn’t have enough room for the next foster fur baby if we kept them all!

3/27/06 - Miss Scooby was dropped off by her owner on Saturday - another one of those sad situations where her
human loved her to death but due to unexpected changes in his life and his living environment he was no longer able to keep her. Times like this always make me remember how grateful I am that rescue exists so that wonderful fur kids like Scooby have positive alternatives and hope for the future when they can no longer stay with their original families.

What a wonderful little girl this one is. Scooby has a naturally strong personality and therefore has responded quite well and respects good leadership in her “human”. She is an absolute sweetheart to be around.  Scooby is great in the crate and also sits and waits patiently for her food. She is a pleasure to take on a lead walk and responds very well to her name – coming to you as soon as she is called. We carefully introduced to the rest of the fur baby “pack” and she quickly became a great “member” of the household. She is currently living with a total of three other fur babies –
but spent time with as many as seven other dogs all at the same time since she joined us – she is simply a great little girl to have around! Even tempered, loving, yet playful and fun all at the same time. I could easily see Scooby in a household with multiple dogs, or as the only pet in the household. As long as she has her “human” to lead her she will be happy.

Scooby’s previous owner lived near the ocean at one time and told us that she loves loves loves to take a good swim in the water (something my other fur kids frown upon heavily – tee hee). She also adores a good game of fetch and looks forward to ending her day of play and exercise with a Peanut Butter stuffed Kong as a treat! Life is good!!

I suspect that this little sweetie pie won’t be with us long as she is just wonderful……keep a close eye on her profile for future updates on Miss Scooby Dooby Doo!! (PS…..don’t tell her that her cartoon hero namesake is really a boy)!
