8/3/08 - Ginger is
doing great. After our camping trip to Shenandoah
National Park
in Virginia last summer she really realized she was in her forever
home. Sadly we lost our male boxer a few months ago leaving Ginger
the alpha dog,
a responsibility that may be a little much for her because she
developed some
dog aggression. We have since gone to
obedience training
and she is doing great! (Best in the class! Honest!) We will
continue with more
advanced training in the fall. Ginger has recently gotten a
senior "sister" boxer and they are both trying to get along. It may
take a little time but we all take daily walks together and get
along well while we are walking. 6/22/07 - Ginger has been adopted
5/31/07 - Ginger has fit in
very well with 7 year old Rocket, the mostly boxer, and FOB Candy
the Pekingese. She is a calm, happy, girl. Ginger is enjoying our
fenced-in yard, chasing chipmunks and sniffing everything. She is
very well mannered, no jumping, trash picking, or counter surfing.
Ginger was happy to meet my 7 year old grand-daughter, she has liked
everyone she has met, even though the shelter said she was leery of
strangers. We took Ginger took to the beach, and she doesn't even
mind getting her feet wet.
