4/07 - Max has been adopted

3/8/07 - Max is pending adoption
Max has finally adjusted to his new home and is on my schedule. He welcomes me home from work daily with tons of kisses because he knows as soon as I get settled, it's walk time for him.
I am presently working on lots of training with Max, even though he knows the basics, he does not do it unless he feels like it. So I have re-introduced, sit, lay down, shake, be nice, walk nice and soon, roll over on my commands. Max is a very strong and bull-head male that is very much trying to be my alfa male. He is slowly learning, that I am the boss. Max LOVES to go for rides in the car, and goes whenever I can take him. We go to parks, to see friends and to the store, when I can run in and right back out again. Whenever I take Max walking, people stop and stare at his size and beauty. He is quite a handsome young man with beautiful eyes.
I think that Max is very happy and loves the attention he gets.
I have decided to adopt Max and give him a wonderful forever home.

2/14/07 - Diesel better known as Max now is doing better now. When I first brought him home on Friday he had some problems adjusting to his new environment. He got dehydrated and had severe diarrhea so had to spend a night at the animal shelter which broke my heart. He came home on Monday night and is slowly learning to trust me again. I think he was very confused in why he came to a home and then back to a shelter type setting. Here is max in his own words according to me:

I think I am going to be in a GREAT forever home..................I think this lady Diana is going to take GREAT care of me....but not sure yet............I like my house because it's real big and there lots of places to run and check out. I don't think I like when my New Mom has to go to work...............I run around the house barking and howling. But then she comes home and gives me lots of kisses and tells me that I am a good boy! WoW! I like the sound of those words. She walks me and has even taught me to walk nice on a leash...........She bought this new collar that does not feel good when I pull..............so as soon as she says walk nice, it's a done deal.

I only weight 62 pounds...............but she has been feeding lots of small meals so that I will be big and strong again.............I heard her say I am supposed to weigh 75lbs...........WOW!

So, all I can say is ...............I like where I am at and I know I will be able to trust her soon and show it..............Right now I am not big on kisses at all..............But I did give her a few fast ones today when she came home because I was so happy to see her............I will type more in a week or so...............But right now it's Mommy and Max time..............Time to snuggle and get a great massage and lots of kisses and hear how much of a good boy I am...............So I will bark at ya's later...........Diesel > now > Max - A - Million 0x00x0x0x00x

2/7/07 - Diesel is going to an FTA home any day. Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in helping him.

1/28/07 - Hi my name is Diesel and I recently came into rescue because my mommy had a baby that was highly allergic to me. She would even have to take a shower before she touched the baby again. So I had to either live downstairs or outside until some nice lady came and got me, and now I have to find a new home. I used to live with a 3 year old little girl so I am good with kids. I also like to play with other dogs especially the girls!! Everyone says that I'm a good boy I just need to exercise and get out some of my energy and once I do that I would love to sit next to someone curled up on the couch. I'm very wiggly and love car rides. I want to be a part of somebody's family again and be their baby boy. I hope that happens again soon!! I promise I will be a very good boy.
