4/28/06 - Rocky has officially been adopted by his FTA family

4/17/06 - Might as well send the adoption papers for this guy, he seems to have decided this is his forever home. He has now taken over the empty end of the couch that was occupied by first Tanc then Duke and the resident Black dog no longer grumbles about it! We still have a few little issues to work on but he is getting better every day.

4/2/06 - Rocky was brought into our rescue yesterday as a foster to adopt situation.  We don't have a lot of information on him except that he lived with a senior couple on LI the husband passed away and the wife needed to move to live with their daughter so Rocky needed a new home. We had made arrangements to bring Rocky in to our rescue within a week and the family couldn't wait so he was bought to the local shelter which we learned of and went and brought him into rescue.
Rocky is in pretty rough shape...he spent most of his time outside, has some sores on his front feet, is pretty thin and very dirty.  He was recently neutered by the shelter and brought up to date on his shots.  He had a very quiet trip in to rescue, rode very quietly and relaxed in the back of my SUV.  I stopped by my home to let him out to do his business and settle in the other boy, Brutus, so I could get ready for another 2 hour ride north to Binghamton with Rocky.  I crated Rocky for a little bit while I did some chores and he was a dream...not one peep out of him...he really is a VERY sweet boy and gives very gentle kisses.  We moved Rocky to a foster to adopt situation where he will be introduced to another dog in the home...hopefully after a few days and introductions all will go well and after his two week period Rocky will have his forever home...he will be one very lucky and happy boy to have a spoiled life of comfort and luxury.
Please watch for updates on this super boy and if interested in Foster to Adopt please drop me an email at tinaf@hvc.rr.com and we will look for the right dog for your home.
