4/29/08 - Hello, We wanted to update you on Buster, today Diane and I agreed upon the name Hanz, which means (gift from God) in German which fits him well.  Hanz is adjusting to our life style so much better than I could of imagined, He gets up and goes directly outside with our other Boxer to use the lawn as his bathroom then comes back in and has his breakfast, then lays on either my lap, or Diane's lap while we watch the news before getting ready for work.   When we go to work we crate Hanz while were gone because we do not know how both the dogs would behave over an 8 hour period by themselves, we will eventually give him the run of the house as we also crated our other Boxer Sadie for the first several months.
Hanz is doing great with the invisible fence training, we walk Him around the perimeter of our property that has flags where the wire is buried at least 2 times per day for apporx 15 min. listening for the beep, when He hears the beeping noise that the collar creates when too close, Hanz turns towards our home and goes away from the warning flags that we have set around the perimeters.   Hanz is eating very good and gets plenty of exercise with our other boxer Sadie, then Hanz sleeps while snoring and sometimes running in place while laying down as He is dreaming, He's such a sweet Dog and we're blessed to have him as our responsibility to Love and to care for Him.   Wayne and Diane

4/23/08 - The shorts are worn and given to us by Michelle because of the fact that Buster was licking his sutures where He was neutered after ointment was applied, it works ! ! !
Buster is so cute, both Dogs are getting to respect one another, they play until they both have to take naps!   Cute ! ! ! !

4/22/08 - Buster has been adopted!! He went to his forever home on Tuesday. His new family is amazing.
They love him already. BAR couldn't have found a better match for him. He has a new boxer sister
and they get along great. We'll all miss him but now Buster is in his happy new home. We wish him
and his new family all the best. It's great to know we played a part in helping this boy go from
the shelter to a wonderful home and family that will love him. This is what it's all about.
Love to Buster and his family! xoxo

4/20/08 - Buster is pending adoption.

4/1/08 - Buster continues to do well in our foster home.   He's got a new roommate and foster brother
last week.  The two have been spending all day together and they are crated right next to each other at
night.  I think Buster likes the company.  He gets along great with this new boxer
too.
Buster would do well with an active family.  Buster is young and has lots of exuberant boxer energy and
loves to play and go for walks.  Buster would enjoy a home where exercise & walks are part of his daily
routine.
He gets along with the male boxers here but can be a bit rambunctious.   He is more calm with our
female Boxer.  Buster can live as an "only" dog in a home but a home with a female would be the ideal
situation for him.
Buster has an appointment next week to get neutered. He has put on some needed weight and he looks
great.  I think his weight is right where it needs to be now.
Buster is a wonderful, happy boxer boy.  He is very sweet you can't help but love him.

3/18/08 - Buster here is a great boy.  He is doing wonderful.  Buster and Ace have settled down some too.  I think they're used to each other now and the playing calmed down.  They play, nap , play, nap.....  He's such a good boy, you cant help but love him.  He sleeps in his crate and doesn't bark and goes right outside to do his business.   He is such a love but too! He loves to be close to his people and follows us around.  He'll snuggle to no end and loves the attention.
Buster would do well with a family that has some experience with boxers.  You do need to let him know who the leader is and he will know his place right away.  He doesn't like to be left alone much so someone who is home a lot or a situation where he's not left for 8 hours at a time would be perfect for him.  Even if you could bring him along!  He loves to go in the car.
Buster is a friendly, loving and playful boy.  We're enjoying our time with him while he waits for his forever home.  He such a good dog, don't pass this guy up.

2/29/08 - Buster has been here a bit now so we can better know his personality.  He is such a good boy with lots of energy.  He knows all his commands, even go lay down.  He absolutely loves the car! My hubby takes him when he has to drive around for work and Buster loves it.  He says he does great, he just sits in the back or lays down although he doesn't like the open window in his face ( maybe it's too cold out!).
He loves to play with the other dogs.  Ace is 2 also and these guys think it's puppy party time all the time.  They play alot sometimes we separate them to get a break.  He is calmer with my female but she is a little older and less willing to get into with him.  I have to say it's not all Buster though, he'll stop when we tell him too then Ace will come up to him and start it all over.  Ace likes to play just as much as Buster.
I think Buster will do well with someone who likes to walk him and play with him a lot.  Maybe a female or more laid back dog would calm down the constant playing.  I do keep the toys away because Buster can be a bit possessive with them.  He only gets them in his crate.
He is a sweet boy though and loves to cuddle up on the couch.  Yea, these dogs have it made!
He eats great and finishes his food.  He doesn't seem underweight too much.  He is tall and I think he may still have some growing to do and may fill out some.  I gotta say it will be hard to see him go, but I can only hope he finds a wonderful forever family that will love him as much as he gives it.  And he defiantly gives lots of love!!  You don't want to pass this boy up.  Till next time...

2/18/08 - Buster is doing fine here.  He finally got to meet and play with my other 2 dogs.  And he loves to play!  He's calmer with my female but he goes non stop with my male until we tell them to stop.  They both love to play.  They do stop when we tell them no.  We don't leave them unsupervised though.  He doesn't much like his crate.  He's been sleeping in our room and doing fine in there.  No accidents at all.  I think he just doesn't like being alone in his crate.  He likes being around someone all the time.  He follows my husband like a shadow.  He is a great boy though.  He listens very well.  He knows all his commands.  He's just a happy boy who wants a family to love!

2/7/08 - Buster has been with us for a week now.  He is doing great.  He is better from being sick.  He hasn't coughed in days.  He has contact with our other Boxers (1 male, 1 female) through the gate and that seems to go OK.  We are taking it very slow.  Especially with my male.  The toys may be an issue so when they can play together I'll keep the toys put away.  (this is partly my males fault too)  He seems calmer w/ my female.  Buster is a great dog though.  He listens very well.  He walks very nice, he heels with no effort.  He knows sit, no, down, comes and were working on stay.  He tries to be a bit dominant sometimes but we put him in his place and he listens right away.  He is so sweet though. He is happy to be here and just wants to play and get some love!! He has bonded with my Hubby.  Their new best friends :). He tries to snuggle with him all the time.  He may never let him leave... Buster is a great dog who just wants a family to love him.  til next time...

2/1/08 - Buster arrived yesterday afternoon and he was a happy guy!!  He was all wiggles and his tail still hasn't stopped.  I took him for a walk right away and he was great on the leash.  He knows sit but his butt only stays for a second.  We're practicing and he's doing great.  He's housebroken and goes right in his crate.  He is separated from our other dogs because of his cough so he hasn't met them yet.  We did see a dog on our walk tonight and Buster was ready to play.  Seems like he'll do good with other dogs, I cant wait for them to meet.  He LOVES to go for a walk. Every time I put on my coat or touch the leash he thinks it's walk time:)
Buster is a REALLY SWEET dog.  All he wants is love and company.  He seems to have some training which makes things easy.  He shows no aggression at all with anything so far (toys, food, etc). Just wants to be close and get some love and affection.  What a SWEETHEART!
