8/14/08 - Yager is doing GREAT!!! There's not much to say other than we ALL LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!  She is such a sweet affectionate pup!!  She's become so much more comfortable now, and her personality is hilarious!!  Joey loves playing with Yager, and Yager loves playing with him.  They are so fun to watch together!!!  Other than that nothing new, she's a sweetheart!!!

7/1/08 - Yager is doing great.  The cat still loves her, and her & Joey are slowly getting better as the days go by.  The training techniques have been working well.  All in all, Yager is a great dog!!! Sweet, tons of boxer kisses, and boxer wiggles that make you want to shake right along with her!  We love
her, and so does Joey! ;)

6/17/08 - Hi guys, a little update on Miss Yager!  Aka..Chunk.  She had her first bath last weekend, and did great!!  She loves the water, and loves to hear how pretty she looks afterwards.  I also cut her nails yesterday, and she was a perfect lady, no problems with any of the grooming at all.
Yager is STILL going after Joey indoors, but outside they play non-stop.  It's a very interesting situation.  Since the trainer came, we've been working with the two of them, and we have made progress, but the whole growling and love hate she has for Joey is really making us scratch our heads.  Other than that, Yager is doing great, she had some cuts on her neck when we first got her that are now completely healed and her hair is growing back.  She's lost a few pounds and is looking beautiful.  She loves to play, and walk, and just be with her people!

6/9/08 - Hi everyone!!  Well our chunky monkey got her first badly needed bath yesterday.  We wanted to wait awhile before we did it, however, she did GREAT!!  She loves water, so getting into the tub was pretty easy. Plus she loves hearing how pretty she is!  :) We're still working on her love hate relationship with Joey.  Yager is more receptive to direction and becoming easier to distract when she decides to focus on Joey.  Training is definitely paying off.  Miss Yager seems to want to do her own thing, which really just consists of being with her people, sleeping and cuddling when we're inside, and of course a little football..lol. One on One Yager is an amazing, loving dog.  And outside, her and Joey absolutely LOVE EACHOTHER!!  So it seems inside it's a bit of jealousy.  But in due time we'll have it down pat! They're training and we're training all together.  And the cat still loves Yager!!  :)

5/29/08 - Well, yesterday was a day of boxer boot camp for Miss Yager & Joey.  We needed advice, and a little guidance because Miss Yager has been lunging and biting Joey when we're in the house.  Seems as though it should be an easy fix with consistency.  She did great while the trainer was there.  Very obiedient, and eager to please.  So, we're proud of her.   Yager absolutely loves her daily walks, she has learned that pulling is not allowed, and she's receptive to direction.   She loves playing fetch, loves cuddling, and she loves running around outside with Joey.  Oh, and water too...lol, walks right into the pools w/o hesitation, even though my dad has a heart attack over the liner, hahaha.
Now the cat situation is very funny.  The cat is definitely crushing on Yager BIG TIME, and Yager is VERY SWEET with him.  She will walk up to him slowly, and they'll touch noses, all the time her lil nub is going a mile a minute.  It's too cute, and the cat actually seeks Yager out, and runs when she see's Joey...lol.  This morning Yager was trying to play ball with the cat.  She was pushing the ball towards the cat, and he would come out and smell it, then run away, then she'd go pick it up, and throw it back again.  It was adorable.  Not much else to update, we love Yager, and cant say it enough!

5/08 - Yager has been adopted.

5/14/08 - Yager is pending adoption
Alright everyone its been a few days since the last update, and I'm happy to report all is well. Yager & Joey are now bff's!!!  YAY!  Yager (aka, chicklet, chubba, monkey) is doing GREAT.  She had her second visit to the dog park yesterday, and she did wonderful.  She was having a ball running and playing fetch.  After a lot of running around we took the pups down to the lake to cool off.  And Yager and Joey love playing in the water.  Yager is great in the car, she wonderful when left alone, never chews, never has accidents, nothing.  She just eats her kong and sleeps.  Yager is a wonderful addition to the family, and her eyes will melt you, she loves going on her daily walks with us, and will chase anything that moves, but she does really well on a harness.  She has taken a slight interest in the cat, but it seems the cat is crushing on her (probably cause of her eyes) haha. So she will sniff him, but he wont come to the floor level with her yet, he makes sure he's elevated, and she just looks at him with her little nub going a mile a minute, and no barking or anything.  So it seems the cat issue really isn't an issue anymore. Other than that, everything is going well, and we definitely will be keeping this sweetheart! :)

5/7/08 - Ok, so it's been about 5 days now, and we really only needed about 10 min to decide we want to keep this sweetie. :)  She is absolutely ADORABLE!!  Such a little cuddlebug.  She is definitely coming out of her shell more & more each day, and its so fun to see.  She has great boxer wiggles.  She's still showing no interest in the cat, but he knows how to stay low key. :)  She walks well on the leash, but has a huge interest in anything moving, birds, squirrels, etc.  So we're working on her pulling, but she loves going for our daily walks.
She and Joey are able to be together, but they're still working out the specifics, haha.  So, they are separated by the baby gate at times, but when we're home, we like to let them be around us without it.  At times, if they get too worked up, we will separate them, but it's going really well.
I really can't say enough about Yager.  She's such a sweet dog.  That's all for now, I'll update her in a few days, and let you know how it's going.

5/5/08 - Ok, first and foremost a BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteers who helped in Yager's transport! You guys/gals are GREAT!! Thank You.
Yager arrived Saturday afternoon, and she is the biggest sweetheart!  She's was very scared upon arrival, as she had a busy day spent mostly in the car.  She was great for the hour and a half ride home.  A perfect lady in the car.  She Loves, loves, loves touch!  She is such a little (or actually big) lap dog its almost comical.   She's pretty unsure of Joey as of now, but we're going to give her her space, and let her settle in, and then let the 2 of them get to know each other better.  She has seen the cat, and really hasnt paid any mind as of yet.  However, she's not settled in yet, so as soon as I get a glimpse of the real Yager, I'll keep you all updated. As far as I can tell, this dog is the biggest mush, and just wants alot of loving!  Her boxer wiggles are so fun to watch, and she's big on giving ALOT of sloppy kisses.  All around... she's a GREAT dog, and we look forward to seeing her come out of her shell.

4/22/08 - Yager has found an FTA home.

4/17/08 - Hi, I’m Yager. I used to live with my mom and her boyfriend, but my mom moved and she can’t keep me where she is living now. So I am looking for a new home.
I am a little nervous around new people, so when I meet them, sometimes I run in the other direction. And men make me extra nervous. But once I warm up to you, I’m very sweet.
I have lived with a small dog, and I like all dogs, big and small. I like kids, too, and I’ve been around infants so I know to be quiet and gentle around them.
But cats…those cats. I just can’t help myself when they start running...I HAVE to chase them. So I would LOVE to live with a cat, but I don’t think a cat would like to live with me!
I am used to having a doggie door, but my mom says I am an ‘easy’ dog, so I would do fine adapting to a house without one.
