Pertinent Information 10/16/04 - Well it has been a little over one
year that we have been blessed with Simba. We had a little set back this
summer when Simba was found to have a mast cell tumor. After 2 surgeries
he is ok and back to his normal happy self. We could not have asked for a
better friend. He does great while we are out and just loves to be with us
when we are home. We have not had one bad day with him. He has made some
friends with the neighborhood dogs. The things he loves best are the walks
and treat that follows. He has kept our yard free of rabbits and
squirrels. He has not caught one yet, thank god but they know it is his
yard. 9/8/03 - We could not be happier the we are with Simba. He fit right in from day one. He just wants to be with us. When ever we move from room to room, he follows. He loves to run in our large fenced in backyard. Prior to coming to us he did not have much experience playing with dog toys and we solved that problem. He loves his toys and plays a mean game of fetch. 7/21/03 - Simba did awesome on the car ride home and slept the whole way when he got home ate some of the new pigs ear we picked up for him which we heard he loved. Simba is doing great he has learned how to fetch ,has many new toys and loves to play tug of war! Simba loves meeting all my friends and they love him! He is very well behaved and loves to eat treats when he is a good boy. He knows the commands of sit, up, give paw and stop. He loves to go on neighborhood walks and loves all the dogs around the block that he meets. He has made one really good friend named cocoa and plays with him a lot. He is a very good sleeper through the night and wakes up at about 8 AM which is nice so I can sleep with him. We no longer have to crate him from his swelling which had happened after he was neutered, and loves that he never has to go back in it. He spends much time outdoors with the family at night and on weekends running around and fetching his barbell and ball. He loves the front yard and is always happy to be with the kids in the neighborhood. We just need to work on him staying in the yard since he loves to chase bunnies. We are still working on it though. He is so sweet and does the "KIDNEY DANCE" and jumps around when we come home. Many people who have come over always say he is the most docile dog they have met and the vet loved him too when he went for his first check up to be registered at the vet. Simba is a sweetheart thank you BAR!!! We love him! 6/7/03 - Simba has been adopted. 6/2/03 - Simba is pending adoption. 5/29/03 - Simba is now 66 lbs. and Dr. Marc cannot believe the change in him is just two and a half weeks. He looks great and feels great, as his activity level is up. He is now scheduled for his neuter and will be ready for his forever home by the middle or end of next week. 5/24/03 - Simba has put on 9 pounds!! He is just a sweetheart. Easy going, gets along with the resident boxer Queen and the children, young and old. Not too sure about cats yet. He walks well on a leash with a training collar, (choke chain), will not tolerate the gentle leader at all. He is learning to sit and heal and not to jump. He loves pigs ears and is still learning what to do with a ball and toys, loves riding in the car and trys to go with me when ever he see or hears me take my keys. Simba is always excited to see us when we come home, and settles down pretty quickly. The family that adopts Simba will be very pleased and with a little gentle obedience training will have a super, super dog. Simba still needs to gain a few more pounds before he can be neutered; and then onto his forever home! 5/19/03 - Simba has a very sweet disposition, walks well on leash with a training collar, but needs obedience training which he will pick up on real quick. He just wants to be near and dear. He wants to please in the worst way. This guy will be a great addition to some family. He is UTD on shots, but needs to add weight before he can be neutered. |
