2/17/06 -I write this with the heaviest of hearts,  Our ANGEL Buster Brown was put to rest today.   He was diagnosed with a brain tumor on Monday 13th, we went ot go see him with the intentions of putting him down on Wed. But low and behold this new man came trotting through the door.   We couldn't do it and brought Buster home thinking he would be fine and he was getting better.  That was 9:00am,  by 11:00 that day he was back to falling and being disoriented.  I stayed with him all last night, as he was on heavy steroids and had to potty every hour (not to mention the diarrhea)  Buddy and I took him today and stayed with him until the end. It was very peaceful, but the most difficult thing I have ever done.  I thank you all for everything you do, and I especially thank you for placing Buster with us.  We would be very open to adopting another dog.  But I have to say that I would want a younger dog this time.  I'm sorry for being selfish but we want more time with them.  Please keep us in mind and I will fill an application out for you to have on file.
Thank you and take care.
Love Jan   (Buster's Mommy)

10/30/05 - Buster went into the hospital today.  They aren't sure what is wrong.  He is going to have surgery tonight to see if it may be a blockage.  He looks so bad.  All I do is cry, it happened soooo fast.  He was fine one day and the next he couldn't even stand.  I haven't told the kids yet.  I thought if we all sent him good thoughts he would be ok!!  My oldest is his best friend,  she hasn't had to deal with death yet and I don't know what to say. We love Buster so much and didn't have enough
time with him.    I will let you all know what the dr. says.      Love----Jan

12/30/03 - Hi It's Buster's mommy. Sorry it's been too long!! Buster is doing great, he is such a funny dog. His personality comes out more every day. I think he finally knows that he is not going anywhere that this is his home. Yes he still has his wetting problem, but only occasionally. He does it when he's mad!!!! Like if we all go outside to play and he is not invited or he feels he has been left long enough. He has gotten better with the training though and the accidents only happen sometimes. Buster is such a great dog, we are so very lucky to have him. The girls just love him and he is soooo smart. One of his Christmas presents was to sleep in our bed. He got up in the bed and didn't move all night, I think he thought if no one notices he's there he won't have to leave. But this is how smart he is, he knew it was a treat and he has not gone on the bed since nor has he asked!!!! I've been buying all kinds of toys for him and finally found the one he loves the best, it's a squeaky cow. he throws it in the air and catches it, then he stares at it till you notice but if you go for he grabs it and runs away. he does that until you chase him and get it from him and then it starts all over. When he finally gets tired he goes to his bed with it and falls asleep. His other favorite game is hide and seek. He is very good at finding but doesn't hide very well, he gets too happy and starts to "talk" and gives us away everytime!!!! I do have some great pictures I want to send, hopefully soon. Thank you for such a wonderful addition to our family he makes us laugh everyday, and did I mention the GAS!!!! Talk to you all soon!!!!! Love Jan & Buster B.

8/3/03 - Hello again!! Mom let me write this time, she says my typing skills are better than hers. I'm doing great here, I love my two legged sisters. The older one sneaks snacks to me, and it's her job to feed me in the morning. Boy does she get up early!!! The little one likes to dress me up, I had bunny ears yesterday. I don't mind at all and I like it best when mom takes pictures of it. She says I have a great smile. Every night when my dad comes home we go for a long walk/run, if he comes home too late I can barely contain myself and cry and whine until he gets changed. I also have a neighbor who loves me soo much that she comes over and asks to walk me, I try not to lunge for squirrels or rabbits with her, you know so she'll come back. She is the one that has that cat I don't like, but I love her!! Mom and Dad took me to shore with them we didn't go to the beach yet, they kind of explained that, something about alot of water and sand. Sounds good to me. I went for a boat ride though, that was great. I just slept, I'd like to do that again. Well mom will send pictures soon she still can't work that digital camera yet. Love & kisses to everyone.................Buster

4/2/03 - Hi all!!!!!! Buster is doing great, he's settle in very well and has met alot of new doggie friends. His most recent friend is a 10 week old Jack Russell that my friend bought. She has the same coloring as Buster so she looks like a (very) little sister, and boy is she a handful!!! Buster still has his little peeing problem, but he is going to a behavior specialist who has him (and us)on a training program. He is responding very well (he is soooo smart), we have had three dry days so far. Only one accident today, but he's still a good boy!! He still goes to his grandma's to play with his friends and run (alot) we try to go once a week to get some of that anxiety out, seems to help. He is loving the warmer weather we had, he slept out on the porch for 2 1/2 hours the other day. He walks out in the mornings just sniffing the spring air. I can't wait to see him at the beach this summer he'll be a hoot!!! When I finally download my pictures off of the camera I will send some. He says hi to everyone and sends his wiggles. Take care------------love, Jan

1/27/03 - Hope you all are doing well? Buster is doing great, he still has his little problem (wetting) but we are working on that.  He says he's very sorry!!!!!!  He has found a place to sleep at night, Regan's bed (the 6 yr old).  Sometimes he gets tired of waiting for her and just goes up himself and gets comfy.  One very cold night I think he slept on her!!  He does very well on the leash,  only some pulling when a new person or animal friend comes by.  Not very good off the leash at all!!!!!!!!!!  Needs a lot of work here,  but Buds working on that with a long lead, he's at least understanding what's wanted from him, whether he will do it is a totally different story.  :)   He is making his way just fine though, he doesn't mind any of the activity from the kids and kid guests.  He didn't even mind when Rylee (the 2 yr old) wanted a horsey ride, she didn't get one but he didn't mind her trying!!!!!!!!!!!!!  He's a champ.  He got his first bath on Friday night (his regular bath night now)  I think he really liked it and he got his hair blon dry when he was finished (such a baby).  Although when we went for a car ride the next day I think he thought he was leaving for another home (you know bath, car ride, then our house) he cried and shook the whole ride it was pitiful!!!!!  When we got back home I swear you could hear him sigh with relief.  He got some treats to make up for that trauma.  And a lot of extra hugs and kisses.  He met some new dog friends in the neighborhood, Gretchen a very sweet, very attractive collie--he did nudge me and say hubba-hubba when they met!!!
We took him into the city today to see Bud's office.  He seemed to have a nice time just looking around and sniffing a lot---lots of smells.  I think he was glad the car ride ended at the same house again.  Hopefully he'll get less worried about that part as time goes on.  Anyway we love him very much and can't remember what we did with out him now!!!   He's a great, great dog and we feel very luck to have him!!!  We will talk to you soon.  Take care,         Jan

1/19/03 - Hi this is Buster's new Mom, I am soooo happy to report that Buster is doing just great. He is so well behaved and so loving, we feel very very fortunate to have him. He's doing really well with the kids too and they love his kisses. When our 2 year old walks down the steps he waits behind her until she gets to the bottom so he won't knock her down. What a gentleman!!!!!!!! I sewed him his very own bed (he doesn't mind the crocked stitching, although he has mentioned it!) that's where he likes to sleep, during the day. The first night he was here we invited up to our bed room. He walked into each room, kind of like Goldylocks checking them all out. He decided that the couch downstairs would be the best place for him. So we put a large blankie down for him and he's very happy there. He loves his walks, but only if he's wearing his custom made sweatshirt. And not for more then the time it takes to do his business!! Which I might add he does on command. What a good boy. He has met most of his neighbors and licked them all clean. Last night he met his grandparents, you can see in the pictures he loves his "Emma"--grandma. Well I will give another update soon. Thank you all so much for bring Buster into our family, we love him very much and are thrilled to have such a great dog. We'll talk to you all soon and send more pictures. Bye for now.....Buster says thank you for all you've done for him and a special thank you to his foster mom for being to loving.

1/17/03 - Buster has been adopted.

1/16/03 - Hello Everyone! Well, I got great news to spill....I FOUND MY FOREVER HOME (or should I say foster mommy and the great people from BAR did!) Anyhow, my new dad, mom and my two skin sisters drove all the way from PA to visit me and even bought me a toy, Chelsie & Atlas treats and even flowers for foster mommy!!!! Can you believe that!!! They seemed like the most caring and sweetest people I can ask for (no pun intended to foster mommy)! Anyway, I actually got so excited, that I gave them all a bunch of kisses!!!!! I think the kids were a little overwhelmed by all my kisses but I just couldn't help myself because now I know I found my new family to spend the rest of my life with! While foster mommy was talking to them this evening, I even eased dropped on their conversation while I was chewing my piggy ear that I'm going to be taking several walks a week, keeping my new mommy company at home during the day, going for rides a lot, and just accompanying my new dad when he goes for bike rides! They even have a huge fenced in back yard for me to run around in!!! This is just too exciting! When they left for the evening, all I kept on thinking was "where you going...ain't I suppose to be going with you?", but foster mommy ensured me that they will be back in 2 days to come back for me cause they want to get everything ready for me at their home! So, with that, I got some preparations to do myself like have a bath so I'm all clean and smellen' great for my new family and foster mommy is going to even pack a care package for me! Boy, I'm going to miss it here and even Chelsie and Atlas, but I know I'm going to have a really good life ahead of me soon! Well, I'll be keeping in touch since my new parents said they will be sending in updates about me and some new pictures of me in my new home once I get settled in! Just visit me in the "Adopted Boxers" section of the website and THANKS AGAIN everyone who made my foster journey a happy and safe one! Love Always, Buster Brown

1/12/03 - Well, well, well, what more can I say about my foster....BUSTER BROWN! As you may have read, Buster has been a joy to have at my home! He is an exceptionally GREAT BOY and has settled into my home as if he has lived her all his life! I have not had any accidents in my home since his first initial arrival here, but because he was a little nervous and confused of why he ended up here, he was completely excused! Nothing more than a small squirt of Nature's Miracle can clean up! Anyway, all I have to say is this dog is one of my best fosters I've had! He is sooooooo low maintenance, it's unbelievable! He will sit for you before you place his bowl down for him to eat, he will sit for you so you can attach the leash to his collar, he will sit at the side of the bed or couch waiting for you to invite him to lay next to you, and best of all, he will kiss you every opportunity he has just to show you how much he loves you and grateful he is! Honestly, if I could, I would keep this boy in a minute! However, I would be too afraid to over exceed my "Association" rules since I live in a townhouse and would hate to receive notice that I would have to get rid of the "extra" dog since he then would be considered a permanent pet. I just could not do that to him because he is definitely a SPECIAL boy!!! So, if you're looking for a great companion with manners and don't care about that he is "middle" aged, don't wait any longer to put in an application on this great boy! You definitely won't regret it!!!!!

1/6/03 - HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Well, today marks my one month anniversary here at my foster home and I must say that it flew by! Foster mommy has been extremely happy with me since I haven't had any accidents in the house since my initial arrival here and I continue to be such a good boy with no issues what so ever! Basically, I was just scared, confused and nervous but since I've made myself right at home and trust foster mommy, I feel so content now! Chelsie and Atlas continue to be my best friends and we never fight and I even have no issues with any other dogs I see during my walks outside. Foster mommy explained to me the other day that my stay has been extended because basically my age and that I don't get along with cats. Well, I know somewhere out there, there is someone who doesn't care about the number "6" and who doesn't have a cat! Well, I can say since I hear from all of foster mommy's guests that come over, that they never believe I'm 6! Everyone thinks I am soooo much younger because I got the meanest boxer wiggle going on, give lots of kisses and hugs, can play, run and do anything any younger dog can do, but even BETTER! I even been complimented how much better I look in person than in my website pictures!!!! Not that I'm bragging or anything, but..... okay, maybe a little since foster mommy may have blew up my head a little because she's always saying how cute and such a good boy I am all the time! Well, if I sound like the perfect gentleman for your family, don't hesitate to inquire about me! Foster mommy will be glad to answer any question you may have! Until next time.... Love always, Buster

12/29/02 - Hello everyone! This is Buster's Foster Mom! I figured since Buster has had the many opportunities to give you a glimpse of his foster life so far, I would take this time to write on how Buster is progressing in my own words. Buster is just a love and I can't stress that enough!!!!! He loves that human affection, whether it is just simple petting, hugging, kissing him back, snuggling, you name it! On top of that, he get along with every human that walks into my home and loves other dogs as well. He's definitely a lover and not a fighter! Though Buster is 6 years old....you would never know it! He doesn't show any signs of aging (graying, stiffness in limbs, etc..) and having the opportunity I have had in spending time with him, he is just a nice, mature young man with manners who goes with the flow. Buster enjoys any type of activities that are going on. Whether it is just simply taking a walk outside, running around in a yard, taking a ride in a car, playing in the house, or just "vegging" all day, he is happy and content with anything as long as his included! He knows most commands and I feel that if someone has the chance to take him for additional training and certifications, he would make a fantastic therapy dog since he adores to be touched so much, has wonderful manners, and gives you that feeling of happiness and contentment when he is laying next to you. I'm also happy to announce that I have had no peeing issues with him in about over a week already. Though my schedule from work was shortened last week due to the holiday and taking some personal days off, there were many days that I was out of the house for hours and in and out (doing last minute holiday shopping, visiting family, etc..) and he did fabulous! I just think because he is a dog that gets attached to someone so quick that he gets a little nervous when no one is home for hours but because he was also a new guest in my home and trying to get adjusting to all the new things going on, this probably added to any anxiety he may have been feeling and was trying to get adjusted to my schedule. I would also like to mention that I don't crate Buster when I leave my home and he does absolutely wonderful! He doesn't touch anything, chew anything, ruin anything, you name it so that's a big plus! Buster would do EXCEPTIONALLY wonderful in a new home that either had dogs or no dogs at all, however, no cats! Buster has a tendency to "charge" at cats when he see's them outside so I'm not quite sure if it is just out of excitement to see what it is, whether he would hurt them or not, but not to take any chances, I feel that no cats in a home would be a better fit for him. Also, I feel a good placement for him would be a family who either has someone home a lot, such as a stay at home mom, or someone who works part time, or even a person who has the opportunity to take him with them to work, etc.. would be great! Buster is the type of dog that isn't "just a dog", he is a dog that wants a loving and caring relationship with an owner or entire family and will prove his loyalty to you if you just give him the love he deserves and strives for! If you are reading his journal and he sounds like the perfect companion for you and have not put in an application in for him, I urge you to do so because you will be missing the opportunity of adopting a WONDERFUL friend who will give you many years of joy & happiness! Well, that's all for now. We'll write more in a few days! PS: Buster says "hello everyone!"

12/22/02 - Hello Again! I just wanted to write to all of you and let you know I just got back from a place that I never knew existed.... a store for pets (Petco)! Oooh my gosh.... I had a ball! I met so many types of 4 legged fur kids and all different kinds of people and foster mommy said I did fabulous and was a complete gentleman! The best part was going down the aisle that had all the different variety of bones and sniffing all of them! Foster mommy said that I could pick out my Christmas gift since it looks like I'll be around for the holiday so I picked out a rawhide with a cheese flavoring! Yummy!!!! I looked around for a turkey flavored one, but couldn't find so I settled for the cheese flavored one instead. Since we were there, I even had the opportunity to pick out a toy for Chelsie & Atlas and boy, when we came home, Atlas got so excited with the big fur ball I picked out for him! So excited, he won't let me or Chelsie a chance to play with it right now, but I'm sure once the excitment wears off, it will be up for grabs! Anyway, just wanted to tell you my adventure I had today and how fun and exciting it was! Oooh before I forget, don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application if you are interested in me! Simply put my name in the area where it asks for the dog that your interested in and your application will be processed right away cause' I'm waiting patiently and wishing to start the New Year off in a house to call my forever home! Until next time...Love always, Buster

12/20/02 - Greetings Everyone! It's me Buster (a/k/a: Buster Brown and now Buster Poindexter!). Well, it's been almost 2 weeks that I've been in my foster home and I'm still waiting patiently for my new, forever home! Though Foster Mom says that I can stay as long as it takes to make sure she finds me the perfect family, I do fantasize about a permanent place where I can call it "home sweet home"! I get along great with all adults, kids and other dogs (no kitties, please) and love attention! I enjoy a leisurely stroll in grassy areas, snuggling, kisses, and most importantly, Turkey lunchmeat (did I mention that already?) I know all basic commands and don't ask for too much, other than to know that I'm included and part of a family who will love me unconditionally. I don't, however, like being alone for more than 4-5 hours at a time. Though I won't destroy anything in a home (or even touch anything), I can loose control of my bladder (only sometimes) but Foster Mommy says it's okay and just makes sure I'm in an area of the house where she can easily clean it up. Don't get me wrong, I have no problems during the night, I can easily hold it, but for some reason during the day when Foster Mommy leaves the house for a while, I think I get a bit nervous. But any how, I'm such a good boy in so many other ways and working on my "little" issue that I think once you get to meet me, see my personality, and I feel content in a home where I know I'm staying there forever, I think I'll be able to get over my tiny, little issue. Well, gotta go... going to watch Animal Planet now. Until next time, wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday! Love Always, Buster

12/14/02 - Hello again! Foster Mommy says that my one week foster journey update is due so I figured I would write to you now! First, I've been having such a good time here! Chelsie & Atlas have became my best buddies! We sleep, play and even share a treat or two together. There has been absolutely no fights or quarrels between any of us - we are like 3 peas in a pod! The menu has been terrific here as well! This morning's breakfast was "Three Dog Bakery" wet food with some cottage cheese smothered on my dry dog food - boy was that a treat! I have been sleeping like a baby every night since I get to snuggle with foster mommy, Chelsie and Atlas on her big bed every night - it's like one big slumber party; it's GREAT! Other than that, foster mommy still is saying that I'm one of her easiest and well mannered boys that she's had! Doesn't that say it all??? Well, I'm going to go back to playing with Atlas and the squeaky toy so if you're looking to have a great addition to your family, a great snuggler, and a boy with manners, don't hesitate to inquire about me - I'm waiting her patiently for my new forever home! Love always, Buster

12/9/02 - Hello Again, it's me, Buster "Brown". I just got done playing with a Kong with Atlas and figured before I hit the sack for the night, I'll write to you and let you know how things are going so far at the Boxer Angel Resort, where I'm staying.
First, things are going very well. Foster Mom even let me stay out of the crate while she ran to the store. Though it was only for a short period of time, I showed her that I am a very good boy! I didn't touch nothing in her home or even made any messes! She was so excited, she gave me a cookie as a reward! See, I told ya..... give me a chance and I can prove my manners and that you can trust me!
Since Foster Mommy is starting to get to know me better each day, here are some things she is finding out about me more... 1. I LOVE WALKS! Boy, do I love to see that leash get pulled out and attached to my collar! I'll even do a "mean" wiggle dance for ya and even be really good boy on the leash just for a walk! And don't let me middle age fool ya... I'll walk as long as you want to walk and keep up with any younger dog anyday! 2. Did I tell ya's I LOVE TURKEY LUNCHMEAT??? I'll do anything for a taste of that stuff and even like it better when it's Honey Roasted! 3. I'M NOT PICKY with food as long as you can "spice" up my dry dog food - I'll eat every last kibble! 4. I LOVE TO SNUGGLE! If you want company and a body warmer, just ask me once to join you on the couch, bed, or even on the floor and I'm there in a second! 5. I LOVE TO GIVE KISSES! When is the last time you got a lot of kisses from a gentle, loving man without really slobbering all over you? 6. I LOVE PEOPLE! Introduce me to kids or adults and see how well mannered I am! 7. I LOVE TO RIDE IN THE CAR! Take me for a ride around the block, around the neighborhood, or even a trip and I'll be the best passenger you had without being a "back seat driver!"
Well, I hope you are reading this and saying "WHAT A GOOD BOY BUSTER IS" because I am and if you are interested in me, put an application in before it's too late because Foster Mommy can't get over how great I am (and between you and me, I think she's falling for me really fast...)! Until next time.... Love always, Buster

12/8/02 - Hi Everyone! It's me Buster again! Since Foster Mommy is cleaning house today, she wanted me to write to you and tell everyone how much fun I'm having and what a great boy I've been, especially during my first night here. Foster Mom is still amazed how much I've settled into her home so quick! Guess she knows a "way to a man's heart is through his stomach" because let me tell you, she makes dry, ordinary dog food, taste so much better! She has been putting some warm beef soup with veggies and some canned food in there! Boy, is that yummy! I'll eat everything to the last kibble for this kind of cooking! Last night after Foster Mommy getting home from a holiday celebration with her Boxer Angels Friends, we all crawled in bed with her (Chelsie, me, & Atlas) and kept her warm! She was tired after her long drive back, but when she seen all of us at the front door, I think it perked her up a bit because she did the whole wiggle dance with all of us and was so happy to see us all when she came through the front door. It was so much fun! We then all snuggled together on that big, fluffy bed of hers, she told us some stories of the doggies she seen at the party, especially some sick boy that came into rescue (Billy, I'm rooting for ya by the way), watched Animal Planet, and then fell asleep without a peep through out the whole night! Chelsie also had a talk with me last night and explained that it isn't nice to blow gas in a lady's face (guess she didn't get over our little episode yesterday), so being the gentleman that I am, I agreed and told her I wouldn't be doing that again. Atlas managed to pull me aside after that and also explained that he's been living with her for a long time and that she's the "queen" here so it's highly recommended to do what she says before she gets mad and has to put me in my place and no matter what, she always gets her way (guess it's a woman thing), but I told him not to worry cause I learn from my mistakes the first time and I especially don't want to get on her bad side since I'm really thinking she's a cutie to begin with! Foster Mommy also wanted me to tell everyone that she found my weakness to get me in the crate without hesitation....TURKEY LUNCHMEAT! Boy, when I smell that stuff when she pulls it out of the fridge, I already line myself up in front of the crate and just wait for her to throw it in there! Why she has to throw it all the way in the back of the crate, I still haven't fully figured it out, but I have a hunch it's because she wants to make sure that my whole body is in there before she can shut the door! What a sneak, huh??? But that's all it takes without any lip, struggles, nothing! Guess she's experienced in this kind of stuff because she gets me all the time but I'm also finding out that it's not a bad place to be anyway! I'll just lay right down and be quiet since I know it's not going to be for a long time anyway till she takes me out! She's so loving, caring, and patient, I guess that's why I feel so comfortable with all these new things going on! I also got a taste of some peach yogurt this morning! Boy, she knows how to send me to heaven and back! After she was done eating her yogurt for breakfast, she lined me, Chelsie and Atlas up and then allowed us all a taste of what was left! Boy, was that a treat! This whole new experience is definitely turning out not to be a bad thing after all! Well, until later! Love always, Buster

12/7/02 - Greetings From New Jersey! My name is Buster and I'm
a 6 year old flashy fawn male with natural ears and a
docked tail! Reason why I ended up in rescue is
because my last mommy's new landlord said I had to go
because I was too big and only small dogs were
allowed. Well, I guess I didn't fit that description
because I'm 60 lbs and not one of those small, fluffy
dogs with a bow in my hair that can get carried around
in a pocket book or something. Too bad they didn't
get a chance to see how much of a love I am and how
quiet and content I am just lounging around in a
comfortable place. But, I guess things happen for a
reason and though I'll love my previous mommy greatly
and her son (my buddy), I'm sure they did the right
thing because my new, foster mommy says that she's
going to find me the right home where I'll have room
to play, a new mommy and daddy that will love me
unconditionally like my other mommy and buddy did and
most importantly no, mean landlords to contend with!

I must admit though, I was kinda' scared when I first
came to my temporary home, but after foster mommy
being so comforting, kind and ensuring me that
everything was going to be okay, I settled down. I
meet her K9 kids, Atlas and some pretty chic named
Chelsie (who looks like me by the way), who also made
me feel at home. They allowed me to play with their
toys and Atlas even gave me last "marking" privledges
on the bush outside. Also, on top of that, they even
made room on foster mommy's big, fluffy bed for me to
lay on with them. Because I thought this was such a
nice gesture, I even allowed Chelsie to use my hip as
a pillow, but I think I ruined any kind of possible
relationship with her because I accidently passed gas
in her face and I don't think she appreciated that
very much. Ooops, it was an accident...I swear!

Foster mommy also says that we have to work on
something called "crate training". Though I never was
crated with my previous mommy (hey, I'm past all that
childish stuff because I never touched anything in the
home while being unattended or even made an accident),
foster mommy says that I need to just get adjusted to
it a bit, but I'm crossing my toes that I don't have
to spend too much time in that thing in my new home
cause I promise to prove that I'm a great boy and I
don't need one of those things!

Did I mention that I got a bath already? Foster mommy
wanted to "freshen" me up a bit to get me ready for my
new home because she keeps on saying how much of a
good
boy I am because I'm not really hyper, know my manners
and commands that there is no reason why I'm not going
to have a new home in no time!

So, with that, I gotta say that I started my new
journey already very happy because not only have I've
been spoiled since I got here, but I just have that
feeling that my new foster mommy is going to find that
"perfect" home for me soon! So, if your interested in
me, foster mommy says to get your applications in now
because I will not last!

With Love,
Buster
