7/20/07 - Haven't updated you in a long time Zoe is doing fine. She will be 4 this Nov. and is part of our family. Sept 2003 my husband Zoe's daddy passed away.  Didn't want to tell you then but now I can. We got Zoe in Jan and my husband found out he had stage 4 kidney cancer in Feb we didn't know if we should keep our little girl Zoe or not. But Zoe's daddy said we were going to need her and he was right. Now her big sister is in college and not living at home and her big brother (23) is home but out a lot so it's me and Zoe home a lot together.  Zoe is a great watch dog sometimes to much even if she knows you. Still can't understand that and neither can the mailwomen. We can leave her in the house alone now but if someone comes to the front door she's all over it like white on rice.
Also we moved and she has a nice fenced in yard to play in now but when she wants to come in she howls and jumps on the back door to let her in, a little crazy.  She still likes to be touched if you hold her paw or touch her she'll say there forever.  She has a personality and loves parties.  Her health is good and is still very pretty. Hope everything is well with all our friends at Boxer Angels.  Zoe's family

2/6/05 - Just a friendly note on Zoe, She is doing fine, she still can't be trusted when we're not home but beside that she is a great/sweet dog not a puppy any more she turned 2 yrs 11/5/04. She does like to sleep, be near you and loves when you touch her any where. She still doesn't like pills and will let you know it but I found out a secret she can't resist egg salad so that's how I get her to take pills. .She went to kennel in July and they don't like her for the second year in a row. We bring her there when we go on vacation. They owners of the kennel are personal friend of ours so we know they are not miss treating her. they have to make her go outside the run to feed her. She does have a mean steak because I've seen it but on the whole she is so sweet like 2 different dogs?

8/3/03 - Zoe's doing fine and will 9 mos Tuesday. She must be about 50 lbs. had her duke claws off right afeter she was spayed and did great!!!! She is a chewer she has her teeth marks all over our home. Hopefully she will out grow that by 1 yr. She is still very loveing and fffffffffast! She has become attached to our daughter Gina. She also loves company and is one party animal!! If you ask her to get her bone/ball/towel she can tell the differance and brings it right to you! MOre updates to follow....

4/14/03 - Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is well.  Zoe was spayed Friday and is fine.  She will get here stitches out this Friday.  Zoe is getting very tall and can jump real high, jumps right over gates!!!  Do you believe that!!!!  She has great speed too!!!!  We really wonder what her father was.  Our Vet said that will be Zoe's little secret. 1/19/03 - Zoe, our 10 week old puppy girl has gone to her forever home. She will be spoiled rotten by her new family, especially daddy and big sister. They loved her loving personality as a lap dog. I was actually touched when she came running to me instead of them and sat right on my lap. She was a bit afraid of them for a while and barked while hiding in my arms. I actually had to push her over to them to say hi. But she came running back to me in my lap and gave me kisses. It broke my heart. Although she was only with us for 24 hours she has made a huge impression on us. I guess it was a good thing that she was only with us that short, because she would have been difficult to let go. Tamara, you did an awesome job with her especially with the housetraining. She never had an accident in the house or crate. And went pee and poop in some cases each and every time she let her out. What a very smart girl she is. They are a very lucky family to have such an adorable, loveable and smart puppy. I look forward to many updates on her.

1/18/02 - Zoe is pending adoption.

1/11/03 - Hello again! I wanted to let everyone know that I saw the vet today for my second puppy shot. It pinched, but I was a good girl and received a treat from the nice lady there. The doctor said I have a wonderful disposition, whatever that means! He also found that I have a urinary tract infection, so he gave Foster Mom some pills that will clear it up. He said that will help with my potty accidents, too, because I won't have to go alllll the time. Phew, glad that's not how it's going to be all the time, cuz I hated the interruptions to my play time. The people at the doctor's office all snuggled me and told me how cute I am, it was GREAT! Foster Mom told me that lots of people have called about me, and I really want to find that perfect family...So I think I need to tell you that I'm not 100% Boxer. Foster Mom says that if my little snout weren't so long, she wouldn't know any different, but there is definitely something else in there. She thinks maybe something like shepherd or lab? I don't know what my Mom was thinking? I play boxer and have a totally boxer attitude, no doubt about that! My sniffer is just a bit longer, and, of course, my tail was not cropped, so it's long, too. Foster Mom says that I don't snore like her dogs because my nose isn't pushed in, so I will make a great snuggle partner at nap time! She also told me not to worry about my tail, because it's thin and curls up over my back, so it won't get in the way. She's seen other Boxers that don't have them docked whose tails look just like mine. Speaking of other Boxers, the dogs here are great fun! The older gent acts like I'm a bother, but I woke up today and caught him giving me a quick kiss! The little sneak! Foster Mom says my energy overwhelms him, so I guess he likes me best when I'm sleeping! The female here helps me out a lot: she cleans me and breaks off peices of her biscuits to share with me, and snuggles me when we nap....I think she might have been a Mom once, because she takes real good care of me. The other male is a big goof and loves to play. He's not so much the snuggly type, but whenever I need a good game of keep away or tug, he's the man! Ooooh, here he comes with the rope toy, gotta go! Bye!!! XOXO

1/7/03 - Hi, my name is Zoe and I'm a whole 2 months old! I came to BAR from a shelter because my family didn't want me anymore. They said I growled, and I have to be honest, I do, but I thought that's what puppies did? That's how my littermates and I used to play.... My foster Mom said I shouldn't worry about it, because I'm just a baby and still learning the best ways to communicate my needs to my humans and canine friends. She says, as far as she can see, I'm perfectly normal and maybe even a little ahead of the game because I have already learned "Sit" and "No". The other dogs in my foster home say Mom knows what she's talking about cuz they had a whole houseful of rescue pups less than a year ago. I'm trying to figure out how to let my family know I have to potty and I feel real bad when I have an accident. Foster Mom doesn't get mad, though, she says their teeny tiny and that by the time they get BIG, I'll be all done training. She says right now it's her responsibility to pay attention to the time and make sure I have the opportunities I need to get outside. Every time she takes me, we always put on my leash and I make sure I potty for her and I always get a hug and a cookie....I really like that. It's cold right now, so when I'm done and while we wait for the other dogs to finish their business, Mom picks me up and wraps me in her coat where I snuggle right in. It sure is nice to have someone to hug you. Well, I'm off to play with the other dogs and then take a nap in my crate. The children will be home from school soon and I want to make sure I'm rested and ready to play! I'll write more soon. BYE! XOXO
