Pertinent Information 8/8/05 - Six wonderful months watching this sweet 8lb. baby girl grow into a beautiful 50 lb. young lady!!!!! Abby has definitely become the queen of the house and is in full control at all times. She still has a lot of puppy in her and is constantly bugging Chase to play with her but after a full day of jumping and running she does finally lay down to sleep for the night in the early evenings. Of course she is wide awake at 5AM ready to go out and start playing again. Abby came down with the mange in July but we caught it in its very early stage and was able to treat it. She is now doing fine. Hoping to get Abby spayed in the next week. Abby gobbles down her breakfast every morning and most of the time does the same with dinner. She loves her treats and will drive you crazy when you are eating at the table to give her some of your food...which of course we do not do. She loves Chase and they are the best of companions especially up in the mountains where the two of them go exploring in the woods and come back filthy, wet and dirty all of the time. It is really cute when they both collapse from exhaustion on the floor and lay on top of one another. Abby has the cutest face and a sweet disposition and every time we have to scold her we have to hold ourselves back from just hugging and kissing her at the same time. Thanks again for giving us this beautiful girl!!!!! 5/9/05 - Abby is almost 30 pounds
now and is the cutest and sweetest dog. Her paws are still big for her
body and she still has a lot of loose skin to grow into (guessing she
will be 50 pounds + when full grown). She loves her brother Chase and
the two of them walk through the woods together and run and play all day
long. Chase just loves his little sister and is teaching her all of his
bad habits. 4/6/05 -3 months...where has the time gone!! As you can see the little Abby is not so little anymore and weighs about 25 lbs. She has all of her shots now and is really doing very well. Her personality is coming out but still have not figured out whether she will be the boss of Chase - they seem to be going back and forth with it. Abby has now mastered going up and down the spiral staircase all by herself and is totally house broken. She looks forward to all of her meals and gobbles everything down each time. Abby and Chase lay together all of the time and just love one another - what a PERFECT MATCH!!! 3/9/05 - Abby has turned out to be your typical boxer puppy getting into everything and just a bundle of energy. Her big brother Chase just lays there as she crawls all over him biting his face and trying to get him to play with her. Abby is now able to jump onto the couch so Chase cant escape from her anymore. They both sleep in bed with us at night ĤAbby has claimed all the pillows while Chase just cuddles up to you. They share their beds and toys and there is no such thing as this is mine but ours. Abby is up to 14 lbs. now and gobbles down her 3 meals a day and also loves getting treats when she does her business outside. She had an allergic reaction to her 2nd round of puppy shots last week but another trip to the vet and a shot of benadryl cured the problem. Her next round of shots will be on March 17th and we will watch her more closely this time. Abby has tripled in size in 4 weeks and it is amazing to see her grow so quickly it has been a while since we have had a boxer puppy in our house. We and Chase thank you all for giving us the most adorable little girl that brings us so much joy. We have run out of kisses and hugs for both of them but somehow they keep coming back. Here another picture of our new family. 2/17/05 - Abigail is growing too fast!!!! LOL She now weighs 11 Lbs 3 oz and cutting back on her 4 times a day feeding schedule. She will now get 3 meals a day. The vet gave her a wonderful report this evening. Back to the vet next Thursday for some shots. Mike came home yesterday and flipped...he has not put her down yet. Attaching a pic we took tonight which I thought you would enjoy. Off to the mountains tomorrow for a long weekend. 2/6/05 - Abigail has been adopted. 1/26/05 - Both puppies are doing beautifully and are pending adoption. 12/13/04 - A breeder turned over two 2-day old white Boxer pups to BAR this evening. Gary and his family are going to foster these babies and have to hand feed them every 2 hours, day and night. These pups came at the right time when his daughters are home from college. Thank God for college breaks! Abigail is all white and has black spots on her ears. Her sister, Sasha is all white. They are just soooo cute. |
