3/8/06 - Brooklyn arrived home on Sunday.  He did great on his 6 hour ride home.  At first you could tell that he was thinking "Wow this is great.  These nice people are taking me for a ride."  About 10 minutes into the ride when he realized that we were going the wrong way and where was his Alicia he started to cry and whimper as if to say "Ok, if you bring me home now I won't say a thing."  I felt so bad for him.  He did settle down and did great. He is the sweetest boy.  He loves the children and just about everyone else he comes across.  He tried to sleep on our bed the first night but was ok with a blanket on the floor.  We bought him a nice big comfy bed and he LOVES it.  He goes
into his crate like such a good boy.  No barking or fussing.  He must like water because his first night home I was filling a bath for my daughter and I though he was going to jump in.  He settled for just sitting on the mat and watching her.  He is soo cute!  We really love this guy!  Thank you to Alicia and her family for taking such good care of him for us!

3/4/06 - Brooklyn has been adopted

2/27/06 - Well everyone, Brooky has made great progress. He knows that bed time is cookie time. He no longer has accidents on the floor, he also goes into his crate like a gentleman. He knows when it's crate time we get
a cookie and some peanut butter..... This weekend his family is coming to adopt him. Will be a sweet sorrow day for me I am so very glad he is getting such a wonderful family, but I am so sad he is leaving I have spoken to his new family and they are great!! But this is my first foster boy and I don't think I will ever forget him hopefully the family will e-mail and send pictures. He is such a happy boy and he will be so happy going somewhere that his is the center of attention!!!

2/17/06 - Brooklyn is pending adoption

2/14/06 - Well, Brooklyn is doing great!!! He now knows it's time for bed when I get the "cookies" out everyone gets a cookie when its bed time he sits so pretty in his bed. He is eating great. He and Mya are playing like crazy they chase each other and wrestle the best is when he has a toy she takes it but he's very forgiving he doesn't seem to mind when she tales them away. He goes to the vet today, due to snow I could not take him Monday.  Well he is doing great and looking for a forever home......

2/1/06 - Well everyone I want to start by telling you what I have taught Brooklyn in just a few days ...... I am so excited!!! When Mya and Brutus have to go out I have bells on the door and they ring them.   Well..... now Brooklyn does it to, might not have been me teaching him , it might have been Mya and Brutus, but nevertheless I can still take credit.
The poor guy is very hand shy, he has a few bald spots on his skin with some scabs on them.  We are still working on the crate thing, that's a hard one for him.   I put him in there for an hour or so a day and he barks and whines.   He goes in ok now cause I send him in there with cookies or the kong with peanut butter.   It's just staying that's the problem.   As soon as he is in there for longer than 10 minutes he gets very upset and wets in there.  And he also doesn't want me out of sight for more than a few minutes.   He loves my husband but he doesn't want him, he needs to see me. Well anyway I have accomplished a few things with him and he also now knows what a "cookie" is lol lol.   All I say to everyone is "cookie" and butts hit the ground ..... lol

1/30/06 - Well Brooklyn is here!!!  What a sweet boy!!! We let everyone get acquainted. I tried to have everyone in their crates, yea.  But Brooklyn wasn't having that  and he whined, cried and barked. Had to take a different approach as sleep was important to me, so I let him sleep on the floor in the room last night he did very well.  Once he saw the other 2 were settling down he decided it was ok to settle down.  He wouldn't eat his dinner but I did not expect him to as my Brutus didn't when he first came either. I can tell you he is ok with cats though.  He saw the cats and just acted like they didn't even exist, although the cats sure saw him ........ other than that not much else to say he is a sweetie.   I have a lot to learn about him. but so far he is an angel.

1/29/06 - From Brooklyn's Transporter: I just got home from my drive with Brooklyn.  He is the sweetest boy I have ever met.  He felt it was necessary to ride in my lap and lick my face for almost the entire car ride.  I was singing and
talking to him the entire ride, and he just melted my heart by staring at me with such love in his eyes.  He is a super sweetie, he will make one privileged family very very happy.

From Brooklyn's Former Owners:  Brooklyn is good when crated, but when left alone in the house, he will chew things.  Brooklyn is pretty much always crated when no one is home.  He only has accidents when he is alone for more than eight hours. Otherwise, he is housebroken.  He grew up with kids in the house and lives with three cats. No other dogs in the house, but likes to play with the neighbor's dog.
