3/27/06 - It is with sad heart I must tell everyone that Duke went to the bridge today 3/27/06. He had what resembles a heart attack on Saturday and when we did an ultrasound this am it was found that he had a massive tumor attached to the heart and it was slowly shutting off the blood supply. It appears to have been very fast growing because other than some weight loss he did not exhibit any signs of illness until he actually passed out Saturday Evening after eating his supper. The vet says his entire chest cavity was full of tumor and had no chance of survival and would have had trouble breathing from this point forward. We will all miss him and his predecessor Tanc. 2/16/06 - Duke is such a great dog. Look at the picture of him with our grand daughter. That picture says a thousand words and that was the night we brought him home. That's why we have decided to adopt him. 2/9/06 - Duke arrived in Trumansburg, NY today. So far he is wonderful. He and our other dogs Bear seem to get along fine. He is a gorgeous sr. boy who deserves a great home.
