12/17/06 - MISSY IS DOING GREAT. SHE HAS MOVED RIGHT IN WITH EVERYONE. IT SEEMS SOMEONE PUSHED OPEN THE DOOR AND WHEN I GOT HOME THERE WERE 4 OF THEM GREETING ME INSTEAD OF THE USUAL 3. SO IT HAS BEEN 4 EVER SINCE. NO FIGHTS OR ANY PROBLEMS OF ANY KIND. SHE DOESN'T TOUCH ANYTHING AND NO ACCIDENTS, EVEN WHEN I'M AT WORK AND GONE FOR 9 HOURS. SHE IS A LOVE, NEVER LEAVES MY SIDE. SHE WOULD MAKE A GOOD, FUN COMPANION FOR SOMEONE. SHE IS QUIET BUT YOU CAN EASILY GET HER GOING WITH A STUFFED TOY. AND AS I'VE SAID BEFORE SHE LOVES TO RUN AND WALKS WELL ON A LEASH, PULLS A LITTLE AT FIRST BUT SETTLES DOWN TO A NICE WALK. SHE IS FINE WITH KIDS, EVEN LITTLE ONES. MAYBE A BIT TOO PUSHY WITH REAL LITTLE ONES THOUGH. GOING TO LOOK INTO SOME CLASSES FOR HER AFTER THE HOLIDAYS, SEE HOW SHE DOES. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE CONSIDER MISSY TO BE YOUR LOVING FRIEND?

11/5/06 - Missy is a gem. She is the cutest little girl. She loves to run. In the morning, when I first let her out, she tears full speed ahead all over the yard, down the driveway, skids around as she makes her turn and scoots under the rail fence to run, flat out, in the grass. She isn’t built like a runner but she’s pretty fast. She has made friends with the other 3 and enjoys being with them outside. In the house it’s a little tight, so I use the baby gates to keep them 2 and 2. She settles right down, loves her stuffed toys and is not a chewer.

The cat is another story. Missy is way to curious and doesn’t like to give up when I tell her to leave it. Nora is too old to run but when Missy gets too friendly and she takes off, with Missy is right behind her. Though I don’t think she would hurt her, Missy just wants to smell.

All her tests came back negative, she’s had all her shots, she has a very good appetite, is housebroken, pulls a little on the leash, at first, and is a sweetheart with lots of love to give. What more could you ask for?

9/30/06 - Missy came to me from a shelter in NYC two weeks ago, picked up as a stray. She is the sweetest little girl, not so little in girth though. She was a bit under the weather when she arrived as she had a urinary tract infection and a cough. A trip to the vet, 10 days of antibiotics and Missy is a joy; playful, racing around the yard, exploring and having a grand old time. She took all the toys out of the toy basket the other day, so I guess, she's feeling better. Missy has the cutest little face. I hope to have some new photos soon, so you can see for yourself. She walks well on the leash, knows how to sit and so far gets along well with Sammy after intros today. More to follow soon after I see how a repeat urine test came back. She is a nice quiet, older girl with a lot of life left in her to give.
