4/25/07 -
Hi everyone!! We have had Jack in our home and
hearts for almost two months now- and I feel sad that I have not
shared anything with you. To be honest (and embarrassed) I just
figured out how to start a new post on this thing. Anyway, Jack
moved in with my fiancé and I and helped us break in our new
home. We could not think of a better way to officially start our
lives together then with a furry friend. Jack has been
unbelievably amazing- he spends 3/19/07 - Jack has been adopted 3/1/07 - Jack is pending adoption 2/13/07 - Are you looking for a laid back dog? Jack is your boy. Whether you want to relax on the sofa and watch a movie, go for a walk or maybe run some errands in the car. Jack is up for anything. He just loves people and wants to be with them. If you don’t feel like giving him attention he will be more than happy to chew on a mammoth bone and leave you alone. 2/10/2007 - Jack is doing well at his new foster home. He is very lovable and really wants to please. He is allowed in the whole house and I haven’t had any problems. When he needs to go outside he gently taps on the sliding glass door and waits. He doesn’t get into anything and is very calm. He would rather cuddle and be pet than play. He also loves to chew on a mammoth bone. He comes in immediately when called. He will no longer chase the cats when they are inside the house but still chases them when they are outside. If he does catch up to them in the back yard he just barks and doesn’t hurt them (I will work on getting him to leave them alone in the yard). I have been working on teaching him to walk without pulling and I see improvement every day. Jack will make a great addition to any house hold. 1/30/07 - Norman has made his way to his new foster home in PA. I have renamed one eyed Norman. His new name is JACK. He actually responds to that name. He is separated into his own room rather than a crate since it sounded like he was cage aggressive to other dogs at the shelter. He is eating and drinking well. I was trying to wait a week to do introductions but BoJangles had other plans (jumping over a 35" baby gate). He is fine with other dogs and cats. Although his hair stands up when approached from his right side (the side without the eye). I keep everyone separated when I am not home with them.
From Jack's Foster Mom's Mother
who has also fostered and adopted more than one Boxer from BAR
- I had the pleasure of meeting Kim G.’s newest foster over
the weekend. Although she did have a problem with getting him
