3/18/08 - Layla is doing absolutely wonderful. She is such a sweet girl. She is doing excellent with her training and who knows I might just take her in the show ring some day! She is super smart and picks things up really fast. Much faster than my Boston. Layla is starting to fill out. She weighs 44.5 lbs. and she is now 9 months. I don't think she will be much over 50 lbs. Thank you Boxer Angels, she truly is our angel!

2/17/08 - Layla has been adopted

2/7/08 - Layla is pending adoption!

2/1/08 - Layla attended Petsmart in a classroom setting this week. She did extremely well and was one of
the best dogs in class! She listens very well and responds quite willingly to training. She is still
having potty training problems but it is getting much better. She is starting to ask to go out
now. This is an incredibly sweet dog with a wonderful disposition and an extremely gentle nature.

1/27/08 - Layla is doing good with her commands. She is very submissive and has learn to sit for just about anything.   She was doing great for two days with potty training but has had a lapse the past two days. Bean and Layla are having fun together and play constantly.   She is a great dog.   Tuesday she will start a training class at Petsmart.

1/24/08 - Layla is doing better with potty training. She has gone two days in a row without any accidents.
Her and Bean are playng nicely together. Next week Layla will start a training class at Petsmart.  It will be a good experience for her. She tends to get very excited around other dogs she doesn't know. I have had to break up several squabbles between her and my friend's dog. This is primarily with female dogs I am curious to see how she does around other male dogs. She is slowly gaining some weight and is not so skinny as before. She does still have mucus coming out of her nose every once in a while.

1/18/08 - Layla is doing okay with potty training. We had two accidents today and only 1 yesterday. She is
learning to sit very nicely on voice command and with a hand signal. I have also been working on stay on short periods of time and she is doing well with that. I have been walking her everyday with the gentle leader because she tends to pull quite a bit. At first she threw a fit (they always do) when I first put it on but now it doesn't bother her anymore. She is also learning down which she is doing well with. She does quite well with come too! Bean and Layla are getting along much better now. They seem to enjoy each other's company. At night or sometimes during the day when Layla can't be watched she goes in her crate. She tends to cry alot when I leave the room. That is something that will take time. She is a great girl. Tonight she will meet a few guests that are coming to stay for the weekend.

1/17/08 - Layla is doing very well. She has had only 1 accident in the house yesterday and today. She absolutely loves people and follows me around all day long! She went to Petsmart and had some interaction with some other puppies there. She was very excited at first but calmed down the longer we were there. There was a small squabble between her and another puppy over a calf hove but nothing serious. My Boston and her are playing much better and seem to enjoy each other's company.

1/15/08 - Layla's first day was an exciting one. We went rollerblading and she played with some dogs at the dog park. She did have a few accidents in the house but they are partly due to her sever diarrhea.   It is improving daily. Yesterday she only had one accident in the house. Layla's seems to get along well with other dogs but she still needs constant supervision. She got in a few squabbles with my Boston and my friend's dog (both females). She now is submitting to my Boston and things are working out much better. They are playing pretty well. She listens very well and hasn't tried to get into anything is not supposed to! Layla is doing great!
