3/15/08 - Just wanted all to know that Willie went to his forever home today.  He was so happy to meet his new family. (They were happy to meet him too).  He is a special boy with lots of love to give and I am thrilled that he is in a great home where he will be cherished, (and wrestled with).  Good luck and all my love my goofy boy.

2/25/08 - Willie is pending adoption.

2/20/08 - Willie continues to do well in his foster home.  He has not had an accident in the house since the first day he arrived.  He is playing with my children and with my other dogs all the time. I've found that sometimes if you talk to him, he will make funny noises back at you.  It seems as though he's having a conversation with you.  We've been going for 30 minute walks daily and he really enjoys them. He is not spooking as easily with noises.  I've been walking him near a busy avenue so he is exposed to loud trucks and noises.  He has not been destructive in my home or my yard.  He does like to chase a squirrel that hangs out on my fence and taunts my dogs.  I have not crated Willie at all.  He's being such a good boy.  At night he snuggles in the bed with my son and doesn't
need to go out until around 8am.  I finally heard him bark today and it is a strong boxer boy bar that would scare away any would be intruder---although, I think he would probably lick them to death first.  I will be taking Willie for a well visit next week and get him updated on his shot ====he will then be ready for his forever home.  Don't let this beauty get by.  Get those apps in on this mush.

2/18/08 - It's been 24 hours since the arrival of Willie at our home.  He is blending in just fine with the other 5 dogs I currently have with me.  He and my current foster who is going home this coming weekend,  Zeus, have been inseparable.
Willie is a gorgeous fawn boxer boy with a great temperament.  He loves children and is gentle with them of all ages.  He lived with a 2 year old in his previous home.  My 8 year old walked him today and he didn't pull at all.  He's been joining in the boxer wrestling matches at my house and has even joined in a game of tug of war.  He did have one pee pee accident early this morning in the house.  The rest of the day he was let out in the yard frequently and did just fine.  I have not seen any negative behavior as of yet.  He is a sweetie.  I also have to mention that Willie has a
bunch of silly faces.  He has a big underbite, and sometimes it looks like he's smiling at you.
Willie boy also has a hearty appetite and loves his treats when he is a good boy outside.  Get your apps in on this guy.  I have a feeling he won't be with me too long.  He's a beauty.
