1/17/09 - Bailey was picked up from her foster home on Sunday and took the 3 hr ride fine.  We had a little bit of irritable bowel that day with all of the excitement, but otherwise, did well.  Introductions went great with Max 6 and Mosby 3.  She immediately settled in with playing with the new squeaky toys.  She sleeps with my daughter and has taken over the recliner right next to the gas fireplace as her seat, although she'll share if you ask.  For the first 2 days she was a really picky and a small eater, but we've got her number now.  She is still thin even after the weight gained in foster, so we have begun her on a schedule of 3 small meals daily and she seems to be doing well with this.  We have had no potty issues, she learned the proper door to go to by day 2, and it sure helps to have other dogs to follow.  Friday night, Max made his first attempt to lay using Bailey's back end as his pillow and she didn't mind.  We are hopeful they will soon be snuggling together.

1/11/09 - Bailey's new family came for her today and she couldn't have been more happy to meet them.  She wasn't even nervous about getting in the car.  As soon as she saw the leash she was ready to go.  I"m sure she will be very happy for the rest of her life.  Best of luck to her new family.  I"m sure she will bring you much love and happiness.  All my love wiggle butt.

12/22/08 - Bailey is pending adoption.

12/1/08 - Bailey continues to do very well here.  The holiday season has been great for her.  She is meeting new people and pets all the time and she does great.  She gets so excited when we arrive home from being out.  She actually starts to do a funny dance----right foot, left foot and repeat.  She found her way up onto my bed now and is usually snoring away by the time I crawl in for the night.  She still likes to visit my daughters bed a few times a night.  My other dogs adore her.  They all get along great.  She has had no accidents in the house.  Bailey is such a good girl.  We went to the vet a few weeks ago and she was actually excited to be there.  She is a good girl in the car too.  Whoever gets this girl will be truly blessed.  Bailey is a spunky senior girl with so much love and wiggles to give.  Get those apps in.

11/8/08 - I can't believe this dog is still in foster care. She is such a great old girl. I know her age may be a bit of a turn off but she has so much life left in her. She would love a home where she could lounge on the couch with her new owners and get lots of lovin. She walks great on a leash and really enjoys her strolls. She is great with all other dogs, so she is great to take to a friends house. She travels well in the car and is so well behaved. We have taken Bailey on a few camping trips already and she is just a gem. My children are quite fond of her and she will play with them for hours. Then she lays down on my daughters bed for a nap. Her appetite has increased nicely and she has put on a few pounds. You'll fall in love with this girl fast. Please don't let her age discourage you from putting in an application. She is a well behaved, loving soul.

10/16/08 - I am so sorry that it has been a while since I updated Bailey. She is such a great dog, I sometimes forget that she is not one of mine. She has been a great travel companion on our camping trips. She is excellent in the car. Bailey loves every other dog or small animal she has come in contact with. She sleeps through the night at the foot of my daughters bed. There is not one ounce of aggression in this girl. She continues to play well with my 3 boxers and she loves pull toys and especially balls. Bailey is really spunky for an 11 year old girl. I am sure she has a few good years to give to her forever home. Please consider adopting this girl. She really is a joy.

9/23/08 - Sorry it has been so long since my last update.  Bailey fits in so well here that I forget she doesn't belong to me.  She still is pretty spunky for her age and loves to play with balls and pull toys.  She sleeps all night in my daughters room.  Bailey loves to snuggle.  She has not been crated at all and does not need to be.  She is a good girl for hours left alone with free run of the house.  She does not counter surf or have accidents in the house.  She really is a beautiful boxer girl.  Please give BAiley a forever home so she can live out the rest of her life with someone who loves her as much as we do.  I should also mention that her back legs are getting stronger and she is gaining more weight.  I don't think she had much exercise in her former situation.  Lets get those apps in for this girl.

9/10/08 - Bailey continues to do well with her foster family.  She is such a good girl.  You can trust her alone while you are out of the house.  She does not counter surf or chew anything she shouldn't.  She still has a lot of love left to give.  She can't get enough snuggles and petting.  BAiley loves people....she barks when someone comes to my door and she sounds pretty scarey but she will let anyone walk in the house if they give her a quick pat on the head.  Her back legs are getting stronger as she is exercising alot more now.  She plays a bit in the yard with her fur siblings.  Her stamina is not what it used to be so she needs a few naps during the day.  Her appetite continues to improve daily and she loves a treat or a pig ear.  She is quite fond of children of all ages and she is very gentle.  I do think she would much rather a quiet house with someone who will snuggle with her for the rest of her days.  Please put in an app for this girl.  She is still a pretty spunky boxer and she sure would love a comfy forever home.  Meanwhile, our girl is growing in personality and love.

9/1/08 - Bailey continues to thrive in her foster home.  We absolutely adore her and so do all of our friends and their dogs.  We took Bailey on a camping trip this weekend.  She was very well behaved in the car for the trip and then made herself right at home in the camper.  She played with the kids in the large field.  She chased balls for hours.  She also played in the creek.  Bailey is a great dog.  She is a super companion.  Her back legs are much stronger.  I don't think she spent much time out of the crate in her life.  She has had free range of the house while she's been here.  Bailey is so well behaved.  She has not damaged anything or had any separation anxiety.  I do hope someone is interested in making her part of their family.  She still has a lot of puppy left in her.  She is comical and playful.  You will fall in love with her fast.

8/19/08 - Bailey has been with us for a few days now and is adjusting to her foster family just fine.  She is so sweet and playful for a senior boxer girl.  She adores children and just loves to play with tug toys and balls.  She was easily introduced to my other 3 boxer babies.  No fights broke out at all.  I can't believe that her previous owner just dropped her by the vets office to be put to sleep.  She still has a lot of life and love left in her.  Bailey travels well in the car also.  She lays down in the back seat and relaxes for the whole trip.  I have left her out of the crate when I go out and she has no separation anxiety.  She really is a great dog.  Her appetite has increased since arrival with me.  She eats a can of soft food mixed with her hard food and tolerates it very well.  She is housebroken.  Bailey loves to be with her people.  She does well on a leash too.  Please put in a app for this girl so she can live out the rest of her life with a family that adores her as much as we do.  She will bring you so much happiness. Don't let that age fool you. She's got a lot of puppy left in her.

8/15/08 - Bailey is an 11 year old fawn female boxer whose owners thought she was too old to make the move to Texas.  The vet refused to euthanize her so she is now looking for a new family.  She is good with dogs, cats and kids.  She has a good amount of energy and likes to play tug with a  rope toy.  She does like to run around but has a slightly weak left rear leg but it doesn’t slow her down.  Please consider adopting this sweet girl she repay you back with tons of love.
