5/26/10 - Missy is pending adoption

5/8/10 - Missy has been returned to rescue as her mom thinks she would do better in a home with a strong pack leader and someone who has the time to work with her and train her.  She is going back to her original foster home and we will have more updates very soon.

3/12/09 - We picked up Missy up last Sunday 3/8.  She did very well the first night, maybe a little nervous but sweet.  She went around to every room in the house all night checking on everyone.  The kids love her and she has been very sweet with them.
She listens very well to sit and we are working on helping her walk better on a leash as she does try and pull quite a bit.
She is such an absolute love, she just kisses everyone and wants to be close to us at all times.  If one of us leaves the room she goes to check on us.
She is BEAUTIFUL and the pictures on the site do do her justice, she is gorgeous!  Her new favorite toy is a stuffed "SpongeBob" plush toy that was my 3 year son's toy but she has made it hers now and carries it all over!
Thank you all at BAR who dedicated your time and efforts to help Missy - Thanks Jeff!!  We have fallen in love with her and are so blessed to have her as part of our family!

3/8/09 - Missy has been adopted.

3/7/09 - Missy is pending adoption.

2/21/09 - Earth calling......Pilot to Co-pilot!!!!! We have an amazing little girl hanging out at Jeff's house waiting for her forever home!!! :)
We had the pleasure of meeting Little Miss Missy today, and She's AWESOME!!!!! The pictures don't do this cutie Justice!!!

Soooooo, I took some video to help our girl out. :) check out Missy playing with her toys & boys!!!!

2/17/09 - Missy has been great.  She loves to get a toy in her mouth and run around while my 2 guys try and get the toy from her. She also loves to wiggle around on the living room floor while my 2 guys are resting and she wiggles till one of them plays with her. She is full of energy.  She has a good bark and when she hears something she will let you know. but settles down once you reassure her that everything is fine. She gives visitors lots of wiggles and kisses. When she is not playing she will follow you and investigate what you are doing. I have found her a couple of times just sitting there watching whatever I am doing.  She loves to be talked to and she has good table manners. She is waiting for her HAPPY forever home and will make a great little addition to a loving family. If I didn't have my 2 guys she would be staying right here. So come on get those applications in for her!

1/31/09 - Missy went for a wellness check up this week and th DR. everything looks great. She was great on the ride there and back. She was all wiggles meeting the Dr and the assistants. Missy also meet some kids this week they are between 5-10 yrs old and she just covered them with kisses.  She loves to get attention and the more she gets the better she is getting. She will do great in her loving forever home.

1/25/09 - Missy has been doing great.  I have let her spend more time with my 2 guys and she is getting used to the routine and hanging out.  It takes her a little to settle down when they want to just hang but she is getting there. She listen pretty good and when corrected usually retains it. She is sharing her toys more and is not staring down my guys as much. She still does not like them near her food dish when food is in it. I left her loose while having dinner and she got the hint and just sat there then laid down. I let her sleep with us this weekend and she was great she love affection and loves to give it as well. She loves to take her toys in and out of the house to play with them.

1/13/09 - I was supposed to just watch Missy for a week or two for BAR but her foster mom had an emergency so she has been with us over a month.   She has been a really great dog.  She has had a couple of accidents in her cage but now that she has the house routine down she doesn't have any problems. She goes about 8 hrs over night without going out and about 5 hrs at a time during the day. She eats 2 times a day without any problems she is eating dry food and she has water at all times. She goes out side with my 2 adopted BAR babies Tyson( 4 yrs) and Diego(3 yrs) where she loves to run with Diego and seems to switch rolls from dominate to submissive. When she first came here about the first week she was more dominate and would go after the both of them but when corrected she would stop, but now she just loves to run around and play with them outside. She loves to play with Tyson inside but after a while she wants the toy to her self and she starts to growl. I tell her to stop. then I put tell her it is time to go to her cage and she goes. I think with a little training she will overcome this. I have a fenced off area in the house that is where she stays and I tell to go in her cage and she goes. She does bark when she hears a noise or there is a dog in the yard behind me but it is not viscous and if you tell her it is alright she usually settles down. She goes up and down stairs with ease and rides in the truck pretty good also.  I have walked her on the leash when I first got her and she tries to play tug O war but she would settle down in a little while. I think with so time she will do great. She loves to run and play box.  She takes her stuffed toy in and out with her. She sleeps on a dog bed/old blanket. She settles down when left in her area alone and plays or sleeps- quite well.
