4/18/10 - Prince Aries was renamed Harley and he's the best dog a family could ask for. Harley is a big momma's boy, he follows me everywhere I go. He loves to play with our Japanese Chin Jazz. They play tag a lot and can catch him even though she's tiny. When Jazz has had enough of indoor play time she tries to hide from Harley and they'll play that game for hours. He also likes to chase the red laser dot around the house with the kids. He loves his walks during the day and we just started owner/dog training and he's doing very well. Harley is such a great dog with a huge personality, we are greatful to have him as part of the family. Thank you BAR

3/6/10 - Hi Everyone,  Our family adopted Harley (know to BAR as Prince Aries) last week.  I don't even know how we ever lived without him in our lives.  He brings so much happiness and laughter into the family.  Thanks to everyone who helped this little guy join our family. -Michelle

2/25/10 - Well, Prince is again on his way to his new home. This time in NH! His new family seems really great! They are all lucky to have each other!  Thanks again to ALL for your help!

2/23/10 - Prince is pending adoption

2/18/10 - Due to circumstances beyond their control, Prince's new family must return him.  It has nothing to do with him, but a family crisis.

2/13/10 - Well, Prince has left NH!!! He is off to NY with a wonderful family! He will be very happy back in NY with his new mom and dad. We will miss him very much!
Thanks for all of your support, Deb, Gail, and the whole BAR group!

2/2/10 - Prince is pending adoption

1/24/10 - We have had Prince for 2 weeks and have been really enjoying him. He truly wants to do good by us! We have been having some training opportunities with him in regards to the crate. We are trying to let him know that the crate is a good place to be. As of now, he's not buying it! ;) We feed him his meals in there and also give him great treats(at least we think so!) but as of now he is consumed by the idea of being in the crate. We are also finding him to need someone around him most, if not all, of the day. He LOVES going for car rides and had a great time at Pet Smart with my husband! So, if you can take him with you, he would be a willing co-pilot! :) He is very happy to be in the same room as his care takers. He is by no means a nudge, needing you to touch him every second. He is very content to lay on the floor by your feet or somewhere close by! He is a great dog and SOOO SWEET! He will keep you laughing and melt your heart. Check out the pic of him curled up in our cats bed! Very funny!!

1/16/10 - Well, today is one week that we've had Prince! He is getting more energy as the days go by. He was having fun playing with my daughter in the yard! They were playing with 2 playground balls, chasing them back and forth. He met one of our neighbors today and was all wiggles! I seriously didn't know a dog could wiggle like that! Sooo funny! He's definately a clown! My husband and I find ourselves laughing at his funny antics at least once evryday! He's a real people pleaser!

1/13/10 - Prince is really starting to open up! He is eating more and playing more. He likes to play "keep away" with his toys! Very cute! His cough is doing better. He tends to only cough when he gets excited. He is a cuddle bug too. He will put his head on you and let you rub him til he falls asleep. :) He's getting better with the cat too. He looks as though he wants to play with the cat but our cat isn't there yet!!

1/11/10 - Prince continues to be a wonderful boy! We are really enjoying him. He is getting better at going in his crate at night and continues to sleep well through the night. He is doing well on the leash still and we are looking forward to when we can take him on longer walks. Right now the cold has been affecting his cough(as well as his paws ;) )so we don't push it with him.  He has found a new spot in front of the door on the rug that he enjoys very much! The kids continue to get used to him and are excited to see him when they come home from school. He is less interested in our cat and barely lifts his head when the cat saunters by! He's starting to eat a little better so hopefully we can get some meat on those bones! This boy is awesome and will definately make someones family complete!

1/10/10 - Prince Aries(Prince for short) has been a wonderful house guest thus far. He arrived from NY wiggling his behind when he saw us! We thought he would wiggle right out of his skin!! He has been very content to sit by our feet and lay down for a rub! He has been good with our 3 and 6 year old children. We also have a cat and he becomes very alert when our cat walks by, but he listens to us when we tell him to sit and relax. We have had some nice walks and he seems to be good on a leash, staying right by ourside. He has been very good about going outside to do his business. He needs a little help with his basic commands(sit, down, stay) but with a little reinforcement he will do it! He is not a big fan of going in his crate so he needs a bit of a push to get in there. But once he's in there he is as good as gold! Not a peep and he stays in quietly til its time to come out! This boy is a big love and really enjoys your company. He enjoys sleeping under the kitchen table and doesn't seem to be startled by the kids playing. We have really gotten lucky with this boy as our first foster!!
