Perfect Home - You would never guess this dog is 6 years old. She has endless energy.
An active house would be great for her.

6/6/11 - Hello! I thought should update you on our boxer Tini who has been with us for 9 mos. She has fit right into our family. We absolutely love her! Tini loves her car rides and walks and simply adores our 7 mo. old granddaughter. Tini came to us with issues with anyone knocking on doors there has been some improvement with the help of a trainer. She still barks but doesn't attack the door! She has her "stay place" (carpet square) where she must sit when someone comes in the door. We're still working on that one! Once the person is in the house, and she is allowed off her "stay place", she runs for a toy and butt wiggles with excitement. Tini is a very happy dog and a joy to have in our family!

10/5/10 - Martini "Tini" is really doing wonderfull. She has bonded with all the family that live with us. She slept through the long ride home (7 1/2 hrs!). We stopped for her to stretch her legs but she was always ready to jump back in the car. Tini absolutely loves our grandchildren who are 7, 7, 10 and 10. Long walks are a favorite for her and also car rides. She is not showing a lot of agression when people come to the door, family just walk in and she runs to get a toy and is very happy to see them with major butt wiggles!. If she sees someone out a window or hears a delivery truck she soes start barking but is refocused easily. From day one she has slept through the night with no problem and we have used the crate only a few times at the beginning but not any more. Tini has been no problem with the cats. She would really like to play with them and has learned they have fast sharp claws! Now that they have been together nine days the cats pretty much ignore her and she them. I can see it won't be much longer and one cat will be playing with her. Her appetite slacked off for a few days but she is eating fine now. Tini is a very lovable sweet girl and we love her to pieces!

9/8/10 - Martini is pending adoption

9/7/10 - Hello there. Sorry it's been so long since we updated you on Martini. Martini recently had her first.....and second visit to the vet. The first time went a little rough and the office recommended we sedate her and put a muzzle on her. The second time was better and we were able to get her a check up and vaccinated. I also gave her a bath, which she doesn't mind and clipped her nails (she does mind). The nails take some patience on my part, but she eventually lets me trim them. Tini likes to sleep in. If i wake up too early for her she will stay in bed for awhile, then later she will get up to go outside. Sometimes at night she doesn't want to go out before bed either, but she never has accidents in the house. We still work on Martini's issues with the front door. She is getting better with hearing noises and barking at the door. When she first came here she would run to the door and bark at every noise she heard. She now is starting to ignore those annoying trucks outside. Tini is the first thing I see when I come home. She is always right at the door waiting with a toy for me to come in. Then she prances around with her butt wagging untill I give her some love. Tini is a challenge sometimes, but we love her!

6/2/10 - Martini had a GREAT Memorial day weekend. We started off with a long walk, then took our first trip to the dog park.  Tini did great. She played with all the other dogs at the park with no problems. We came home and started to set up for our family picnic. There were about 25 people in our back yard throughout the day and Tini had no issues with them coming and going. She ate lots of good food and played Tini in the middle(her version of monkey in the middle.) Stay tuned for more of Martini's progress.

5/7/10 - It took a little time, but Martini has adjusted to being in our house. She is much more calm and loveable. She snuggles with her people and our dog and gives us kisses. Martini's favorite thing to do is play with balls. And if no one is available to play fetch, she will chase a ball around the yard all by herself. She also almost always has a toy in her mouth. She grabs one out of the basket when she is happy or excited and just carries it around the house wagging her nub. Every evening the sun shines through our front door. Martini always stands there and tries to catch the sun reflecting off her nametag. It's so cute. She is very determined, but she never catches it. We continue to work with Tini at the front door. If someone comes over unexpected and she gets too excited, we tell her to go into her cage. When she is calm, she can come out and socialize. Martini is a great dog but needs someone who will have a little patience with her. Once she warms up, I think she will be a great addition to someone's family.

4/1/10 - Martini is still doing great with my children. She is has no accidents in the house and doesn't chew on things she shouldn't. She does great on walks and doesn't pull on the leash. We are having a lot of problems with the front door. Martini attacks the door if someone is on the other side. I have been keeping her in a crate when no one is at home and when we know someone is coming over. She barks and jumps around in the crate untill I let her out and then she is fine and happy.

3/28/10 - Martini came to our house yesterday around noon. She was very unsure of us and stuck close to the person who transported her. We took a walk with our dog and both dogs calmed down a bit. Martini has been crying a lot since she got here. She doesn't know whats going on and I'm sure she just wants to go home. Our kids (6 and 3 years old) got home about 2 hours after she arrived. When they arrived she was very curious and excited. Last night she slept in my room on a dog bed and got up every now and then to pace and cry. We woke up and went for a walk. She cried untill my daughter woke up and then her butt started to wiggle and grabbed a toy to play. Overall she is getting a little more comfortable being here and gets along great with everyone (dog included) in the house. I think in a couple of days she will really settle in.
