7/7/05 - Just wanted to say brutus is finally mine, we are so very happy he has become such a wonderful addition to our family!!! In the last month i have found out he's quite a watch dog, he doesn't do very well with strangers, a friend came in to visit who loves dogs i had brutus on a leash thank God well brutus went after him, didn't think he would do that. But they were both ok and brutus warmed up after he saw Mya was all wiggles. He lets me know when he's hungry, or has to go potty. He and Mya are buddies. He goes out without Mya she paces back and forth or vise versa he doesn't like to be away from her they have made a bond which is great. Oh i amso found out he's a couch dog ....... lol which i don't mind now but the new sofa comes in a couple of weeks i will have to get a sofa blanket for him ....... lol He doesn't listen very well to me only my husband he likes me but not like he likes my hubby they have become such buddies. He eats pretty well just doesn't like plain dry food needs some gravy or canned food. He has lost some weight which he really needed to do he was a thick boy .... lol well all is well here we love our new boy a ton ....

7/5/05 - Brutus has officially been adopted!

6/1/05 - Happy 5th Birthday Brutus!!  What better present could you have than a brand new forever home.

5/31/05 - Well Brutus is doing great, he and Mya play a lot better now and actually both give up after a while. When he first got here they wouldn't stop. It's so great having a 2nd dog. He's just so docile he barely barks and keeps Mya out of trouble. They both sleep in our bedroom now at night but in order to get them to bed I have to give each a cookie on their bed - yea they have me trained!!! He's not eating too well. I feed them pro plan which Mya eats dry, but he doesn't seem to like it dry. He has not had an accident in the house but Mya has since he came. I think maybe she's upset, but I have been giving her a lot of attention since he got here.
And I do have to say to who ever suggested the Totally Toddler for getting out odors that it's great and I like it better than the Natures Miracle. It's also convenient because I work at Kmart so it's there when I work.
Well anyway, Brutus is a great dog and behaving wonderfully.

5/23/05 - Just a short update on Brutus. Today I found out how he says he's hungry, I was making dinner and saw puppy eyes peering at me with a wiggly butt. And a low whine to the voice as I ignored it got more of a bark.  It was 5pm so my assumption was dinner and sure enough that's what it was....... this is just an all around great dog I can see why the family was so upset to give him up. Well anyway doing great

5/21/05 - From his Foster Home - Brutus is doing extremely well, we love him already and he has been playing with his new sister, Mya.  He is absolutely beautiful and is following my husband around the house which he loves because Mya follows me around.  Brutus took right to our son.. seems he has settled right in here and is doing great so far.

5/21/05 - From his Transporter - Brutus is at his foster home, safe and happy! They are fostering him with the first option of adopting him if all goes well.
What a great guy ! I feel very bad for the family having to give up such a beautiful, happy Boxer ! The family was in the military and is being transferred out of the county.
I met Alison and Brutus was a bit nervous with me initially but after Alison and I finally got him up the ramp and in the truck...he was fine. He eventually relaxed...layed down and enjoyed the ride. I spent most of the ride petting him and we bonded. Once I got to Alicia's house he loved her and her son right away and we started to see the wiggle. We went inside and he met Mya (who was in her cage) and they really seemed to like each other. He was relaxed and friendly with Mya while going from Alicia...to me...back to Mya again giving kisses at each stop ! He was adjusting very nicely !!
We then went to another room and Brutus just romped in wanting to play. I got hugs...he loves to put his paws over your sholders and have you hug him...and kisses ! He got very playful too !
They will let Mya out of the cage after a little while to actually be with Brutus but I don't see it being a problem. He also had no problems with her cats
WOW...he is just wonderful and I think...will be very happy with his new potential family !!
Thanks Alison for meeting me !!! Ed
