CoCo just left with her new family. Everyone was really happy and
I think it is a great match :) The best part for me was seeing the smile
on their sons face because he was getting a dog and not just any dog but
CoCo :) I'm going to miss her. She is a super little boxer. Carrie &

Coco is pending adoption
8/18/06 - CoCo
just got back from the vet and got a clean bill of health. Everyone was
amazed by her beauty and loved her coloring. She is a very happy girl so
full of kisses she climbed right into the Dr's lap lathered hip up good
with kisses and he just laughed and said this is exactly what I
expected. So happy to say all looks good he did say she was a little
skinny her weight was just about 40 pounds. I got 41 when I
weighed her but of course my method is not an exact science. CoCo is
just fabulous she is such a good girl and pretty calm for 10 months old
she is a real sweet heart and over all just a really good girl. Her
biggest fault is she can be a little jumpy but we are working on
it. She met a baby yesterday and was surprisingly gentle no jumping or
anything even when the baby got really excited by the dogs licking her
feet she was screaming and CoCo girl managed to keep it together. Get
those apps in she is sure an awesome find :)

CoCo
is doing really well here she is such a good girl. I really have nothing
negative to say about her. If anything she is still your typical pup
although she has not destroyed anything in the house she has gotten to
some of the kids toys. We are working on correcting this behavior by
taking the toys away and giving her something that belongs to the dogs.
I think CoCo will do great in any
home she is a little timid about some things that appear to be new to
her but she catches on quick. She is always full of kisses and boxer
wiggles. My feeling about CoCo with children is this she is excellent
with them and listens to them when the correct her. She is a little
jumpy which we are also working on. Kids that can tell her no or babies
that she could get used to would be great for her. My kids are very used
to dogs so a dog that is jumpy is just another foster that needs some
guidance.
CoCo is excellent in her crate and
even goes in there just to relax. She is house broken but did have one
accident in the house which was not her fault my son woke up before
everyone else and let the dogs out of the crate but didn't let them
outside.
CoCo is excellent at
dinner time she just goes and lays down she is one of the few fosters we
have had that hasn't had to be trained to go lay down in the other room.
She is interested in food if you are not sitting at the table for
instance if you are snacking on the couch.
CoCo will be going to the vet on Friday for
a wellness check and then she will be ready to move on to her permanent
home pending the wellness check is all clear. What a sweet little girl
she is going to be an awesome addition to someone's family. The only
thing that makes me sad is I have the feeling we won't be able to enjoy
her company for to long because it would be silly if no one snatched her
up :)

- Hey everyone CoCo
has arrived safely in the capital district along with a new FOB Blaze.
First off
CoCo wants to give a big shout out to Gary and Jackie for springing her
from the shelter and to Jackie for holding her till a home opened up.
It's so cool how so many people help in ways we don't even realize.
CoCo seems to enjoying herself here so far
she is good with the other dogs and seems to really like the kids as
well (ages 8 and 4) She is actually pretty calm for 10 months old but in
another sense she is a little jumpy when excited so may be a little to
much for really young kids or rather hyper parents. CoCo walks well on
the leash. She is interested in dogs that bark but she does not bark
back at them and with a swift correction she keeps on walking.
I am sure she will not be here long
she is a real beauty with her natural tail and is extremely lovable and
playful. She will make a perfect companion for a young family that still
wants a puppy attitude with out the house training to deal with. She
loves people and wants to be around everyone. If you get up you can bet
she is getting up too. Well for now anyway maybe that will change over
time but she is a boxer :) She seems to enjoy the company of Blaze they
puggle and she is playing with Marco as well but I think she finds him a
little over bearing. Get those apps a flowing because she will be out of
here before we know it.

Coco continues to do very well with us. She is a typical puppy with lots
of energy and loves to play ball and with all her stuffed animals. She
did very well when I introduced her to our other foster dog Bella. Coco
and Bella are having a ball with each other! Coco is so cute and playful
and likes to grab the end of Bella's leash with her mouth to try and
pull her around the house! :)
Coco will be leaving us shortly to go to her scheduled foster home. This
girl is so adorable that I do not anticipate her being available for
adoption for too long!!!

Coco arrived
at our home last night from the shelter and OMG she is such a sweet
heart! She seems
to be pretty mild mannered right now which could be due to her being
spayed the day before and/or
the fact that she is in a new environment. She hasn't been interested in
much play but, loves to
stay close to me to get lots of hugs and kisses. She gave us no problems
with going in the crate or
staying in it over night. Coco also didn't have any accidents in
there...yeah!
This adorable pup doesn't seem to have been given any training. So we
are working on getting her
started on some basic commands (sit, down, stay). She walks on a leash
pretty well even though it
seems somewhat new to her. She doesn't pull, however she can fall behind
a bit and can also walk
into you. The good thing is she seems very eager to please and will
respond to corrections ....what
a good girl!!!
So in order to walk Coco she needs to go up and down a flight of stairs.
Well let me start by
saying that she was just terrified at the thought of doing this so last
night and this morning we've
had to pick her up and carry her. She may be on the small side, but
she's not that light. :) By the
afternoon I was able to get her to take the flight up on her own and by
the evening she even made
the trip down. She's not thrilled at the idea of doing this, but we are
happy to see that she has
made the attempt and is willing to do what is asked of her.
This girl is just so adorable and all I can say is that she'll be
adopted in a blink of an eye! I
can't imagine her staying in a foster home for very long!!!
