7/8/06 -Well Maggie is on her way to her new forever home. Maggie and Heather instantly fell in love and Maggie gave her son tons of kisses!! She is going to be sooo happy when she arrives at her new home because there is 2 very excited little girls waiting to greet her!! I seen an instant connection and I think that this is a match made in doggie heaven !!!

7/4/06 - I must have the 2 most incredible and fantastic dogs alive !!! ( I am a bit bias ) Tonight downtown there was a symphony ( of sorts) and food etc. so me Ron Jade and My 2 fur babies Petey and Maggie went down there. There was soooo many people and I would say about 50 people asked me about the dogs because they were just so well behaved and friendly and ignored the other dogs that were not so well behaved.
I didn’t realize that afterwards there was going to be fireworks. So the band finished and we were preparing to go but I was giving the BAR website to a very nice family with a 12 yr old boxer and they want another, so anyways the fireworks start!! Maggie began to shiver so she snuggled to Ron and when she began to whimper Petey went over to her and began to groom her and to sooth her and it was just the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I was just in awe to see him give her such affection!! I actually began to feel guilty that we decided to just foster Maggie and now she has a home that she will be going to . I know I made the right decision. I did it because I thought that there will always be a home for a wonderful dog like Maggie but there will not always be a foster home for the hundreds of other dogs waiting for someone to introduce them to there forever home !! I thought of Carrie, who was my Petey’s foster mom and I KNOW she loved Petey but she let him go so that she could selflessly take in others just like all of our foster homes do,  that isn’t going to make it any easier for us or for Petey and Maggie. They truly look like they have been mates forever.  I do realize that the moment she gets settled she will be happy and this will defiantly be harder on me than on her but I do honestly believe that this will effect Petey. Until she does go however we will be getting in lots of things !! We are taking she and Petey out on our boat tomorrow!! Hopefully they like it !!!

6/30/06 - Maggie is pending adoption

6/25/06 - Maggie continues to improve on her walking skills.  She still has some problems if she sees a
chipmunk etc. but we are working on that. She is just as sweet as she can be.  She loves to be with you
no matter what you are doing.  You may have noticed that I changed to her needing professional training.  That is only because Maggie has so much of that great puppy energy.  She will listen but she sometimes
will get that syndrome "selective hearing"  lol .  However she is just a great little girl who LOVES to
run play and get LOTS of pets. We are going to miss Maggie a lot. Anyone who gets this girl is VERY
lucky!!!

6/20/06 - I know this update is sooner than usual, but, I want to make sure that Maggie gets the perfect home for her so I thought I would let everyone know exactly what this young lady needs. Maggie is completely housebroken , however when she needs to go , she needs to go...She will go to the door and let you know but if you miss the sign then well things happen , she's had one mishap here but, totally my fault, Maggie is also VERY energetic..she loves to walk and play. She would be perfect for someone who likes to hike or just an outdoors person. She loves to play with my 3 yr old daughter (tag) and she plays with my boxer and she loves it , however she seems to have something against all small outdoors creatures including birds. I have a bird in my home and while she is curious she has never misbehaved in anyway..so , if you have a cat or other type of small animal and you want to adopt Maggie just know that it may take awhile for her to be able to interact with them and I would recommend professional help with the introductions. Other than the 2 things I have mentioned she is just PERFECT!!!

6/18/06 - Petey, our other Boxer, has gotten past his dog aggression and he is good with other dogs now.    But he has taken to Maggie better than I thought.. They already eat together as a pack. Today is only her 2nd day and you would think they had been together they're whole lives. She is extremely submissive so it was a great match. She is also great with our daughter, Jade.  She is very gentle and I just think she needs lots of exercise.

6/16/06 - Maggie arrived here only a few hours ago and she is a doll. She has come from a home that loved
her but was just unable to keep her due to circumstances out of there control.  She is very lovable
and loves to be with people . She is very petite...She needs a little work with her walking skills
and her manners but nothing more than being taught some rules and boundaries.  I am sure she will be
doing great in no time
