9/4/08 - Just wanted to let you know how awesome Rosie is doing.  She's gotten soooooo... tall.  She's got polka dots all over her little body.  She loves her big brother, Jake.  The two of them love to wrestle and argue over Jake's favorite soccer ball.  She can do no wrong in his eyes.  She's become quite a little digger.  I catch her running around the backyard with a chunk of grass in her mouth - she's too funny.  She's doing great with doing her business outside.  She stands by the back door and lets out a little bark.  She still has an occasional accident (and it's always on a carpet or rug).  Our kids went back to school yesterday and she was so happy to see them when they came home.  She had been nipping an awful lot.  We use a water gun and bitter apple spray.  They work well but Jake is the one who's really training her not to bite.  They are great together.  They are playing together right now as I type (I can hear her fresh little growl).  She has a new collar because she outgrew the one that she came to us with.  Her new one is pink with jewels on it - too cute!  We had our block party this past Saturday and Rosie was the star.  She's gotten much better on her leash.  I get a lot of looks when I walk my two boxers together - they are a handsome pair.  It must be quite a sight - big strong 100lb Jake and tiny little Rosie with her one brown ear.  Rosie met the other white boxer in the neighborhood, Jake's girlfriend, Isabella.  Isabella is suffering from a false pregnancy so she thinks that Rosie is her baby.  They fell in love immediately.  I'd say that I won't be able to carry her around in a couple more weeks.  She's growing so fast.  I'll be sure to always keep you updated and send pictures as well.  Diena (pooch smooches from Rosie Cheeks)
***I just put Rosie on our scale and I can't believe it - she weighs 17.5lbs!!!

8/14/08 - Rosie is doing awesome.  She is absolutely delicious (she can be a bit of a stinker at times but she does well with redirecting).  She is the missing piece to our family.  Jake adores her.  Slowly but surely they are playing together.  He sleeps on his bed next to her crate at night - too cute.  They only fight when they want each other's toy.  I don't let them have each other's favorite but all the rest are fair game.  She went to the vet and weighs 10.3lbs.  No more diarrhea (even though the vet said she should have some with her de worming meds).  She's even doing really well on the leash.  She's a celebrity in our neighborhood.  I can't thank Delane & Erik enough.  They did a wonderful job with both Rosie & Casper.

8/11/08 - I've gotten calls from both Diena and Gina...both have reported wonderful transition into both of their families...Everyone involved is absolutely thrilled with their new babies...All resident white boxers (Diena has one-Jake- Gina has two Ghost and Lacy) have taken on the roll of big brother and sister wonderfully...Both have promised new pics and updates soon...  Both have expressed much gratitude to the foster home for their wonderful care of these puppies.  Gina couldn't get over how confident and self-assured Casper (Vladi) is...they mentioned that they didn't seem to miss their brother/sister because they were so excited with their new families..., which is also a great testament to the foster home of their loving care.

8/9/08 - Rosie has been adopted.

6/08 - In June, BAR received 2 white Boxer puppies from a breeder at 2 days old.  They were fostered by one of our foster homes and have to be fed every few hours by hand.
