9/10/08 - We renamed him Dempsey and he is just awesome. He is such a good boy and gets along with everybody he meets.  Dempsey is progressing very good with his training and is a most welcome addition to our family Thank you Gail and Sandy and BAR. 

9/9/08 - Everything is great with " Dempsey". He is such a wonderful dog. He loves everybody he meets. He's met a lot of new people and has been perfect.  A little update: He had an accident the other night but nothing else since.  Walks great on a leash with  little or no pulling.
I have an appointment with my Vet on Thursday and a trainer this weekend.
One thing He doesn't bark at all. He barked one little time the first day and nothing since. Dempsey is a gift from heaven and we love him so much.
I just want to thank you and BAR for our awesome addition to our family
 

9/7/08 - Tony has left to go to his new home. They are such a good match. He is going to be so happy and his family is going to love him forever. Its so quiet without him and his tail. Even my Tony knows he's gone.

8/29/08 - Tony is pending adoption

8/18/08 - Tony is getting accustomed to my home and his personality is coming out full blast. He is full of it. He is a sassy little guy. He cracks me up when I tell him no and point my finger at him. He tries to nibble at it, like it will go away. IF you are persistent and don't give in to his antics he will do what you tell him. I have controlled his intake at night of water and is doing much better in the crate. He just got his bed back and it is dry. I find if he has been hanging out a while or sleeping if you get him right out he doesn't have any accidents in the house. I noticed yesterday a small wimpery whine and I let him out immediately and that was what he wanted. So he is progressing. He eats great. He has three meal a day for now. What a great time he is having running in the yard with toys. Tony is a cuddle bug and I let him take a nap with me and big Tony. He was part on Tony and part on me with legs and head and slept comfortably. When he is in my room he is getting the idea it's a quiet time and he is relaxing and picking out which pillow bed to lay on. He has chewed up a couple of tennis balls. When he is very excited outside he does jump and I am working on that also. He has a way on endearing himself to you. Tony is very easy to fall in love with. Sometimes when I am at the computer he will come over and put his head on my knee. He may be the one that causes tears when he leaves.

8/11/08 - Tony is a very spunky little boy. He is finding it great fun to run in the backyard. He flies across the yard. I don't think he ever saw a yard this big. I took him over to my parents house and there is a field behind their house and he ran like a deer. Some days he is mr. I can't do anything wrong and other days he is a complete untrained puppy. He has a lot of personality and is looking for love. He wants to play with my Tony but my Tony isn't quite as playful and in the house wants no part if it. Little Tony likes to grab a toy and walk around with it in his mouth and he will give the cutest whine thru it all. He has had accidents in the house on his untrained puppy days. He is not fond of the crate but goes in it when he knows he has to. He will cry a little but knows to stop when told. He prefers to just follow you around and be in the same room. He likes putting his head on you. He has also progressed off the boiled chicken and rice and is on dog food full time. He enjoys his meals. He is not food or toy aggressive. He can be touched anywhere and even gave the vet a few kissed on his face. He should start to put on the much needed weight too.

8/5/08 - Tony made his visit to the vet yesterday and was a hit with everyone. He ways a whopping 39 pounds.  He has had no more accidents in the house or the crate. What a wiggler he is, too and with that tail, its moving all the time. Seems to be a very happy boy right now. He is getting a spring in his step outside and got to run a little in the yard. Keeping him mostly down and quiet until the neutering heals up. He's going to be raring to go. He now picks up a toy in his crate and stands there holding it hoping someone will come by and let him out to play. He is eating about 4 times a day with chicken and rice and keeping it all down. He loves to curl up next to you and put his head on your lap. Working on his sitting. Its takes him a little to get to it, he stalls and just wags that tail at you and stares at you. He found out he can get a treat if he sits faster. He's a real cutie.

8/3/08 - This poor guy is emaciated. He will be going to the vet a.s.a.p. I am putting him on a bland diet. Tried dog food and he was sick during the night. He is resting now after having some rice and a rolaid to help settle his tummy. He looks at you with that puppy like face and it breaks my heart. He doesn't appear to be trained at all but time will tell. Once he is feeling better we will be able to tell more. Definitely likes to be with people and when in the yard he sticks right by you. Thinking about changing his name to BoBo. He has a tail and I will try to get some pictures done as soon as possible.

8/2/08 - I met up with the alliance transport and got Tony home safe and sound. He is all bones.  I wouldn't be surprised if he is younger than 11 months. He has a beautiful face. He walks well out in the yard on the leash but inside he already stood up to my counter top to search it. He hated the crate. I put the kong in there with him and other chewy stuff. I finally got him to settle in and stop crying.  He appears to be a boy that will want a lot of attention and to be wherever you are. Can't wait to get him into the vet and fatten him up.
