1/31/05 - Shana is doing wonderful. She rules all the other boxers in the house. She has 2 fur brothers. The
last one we adopted from the Brooklyn shelter.

9/2/03 - Just a short note to let you know how Shana is doing. Shes gained some weight and looks wonderful. She is an absolute Angel. She fits in perfect with the whole group. Shana and my 4yr.old boxer Moose play all day long. They act as if they've been boyfriend and girlfriend for years. Shana finally found her place on our bed. She sleeps up against me and doesn't move all night. She is just so perfect in every way.

8/13/03 - Shana formerly Lucy is doing wonderful. Adopting her was the right decision. We are in love with her and her with us. She now feels right at home and is not as timid. Her favorite is to play ball. So of course she has every ball imaginable. She is getting along good with the other dogs. Only a couple of accidents but doing much better. She is not sleeping in our bed yet but give that some time and she will be. Her and Moose(Male boxer) love spending time together. They sleep on the couch touching each other.

7/27/03 - Lucy has been adopted.
Lucy now known as Shana is in her forever home. She is doing wonderful and her
mom is really in love with her. I believe the feeling is mutual. For those of you who don't know me I was Shana(Lucy's) foster mom and now her forever mom.  She is a wonderful addition to our family. We now have 4 furkids and one skinkid and one foster furkid. I'm loving it all.   Mindy

7/23/03 - Lucy is pending adoption.

7/16/03 - Hi Everyone, Its me Lucy. When I first came to seaside boxer haven I was so scared. I think I was traumatized. My foster mom thought my tail was broken because I kept it down all the time. She had the vet check. now she knows for sure its not, because I always have it up. I love to see her. I feel very safe here. I'm out of my crate all day but do go in it at night. Haven't met the other fur kids because I have a cough. I've at no accidents. Yesterday I started to play with all my toys. My favorite was the tennis ball until foster mom gave me a blue handball. It fits perfectly in my mouth. When I'm not playing with it I keep it in my jowls. Mom learned last night that I know how to sit. I haven't figured out give the paw or shake. If someone would tell her to us Roast beef instead of Turkey I might learn faster.
Last night i met foster dad. He is big, bald and was wearing a hat. My tail went down real fast. Mom went and sat next to him and called me over. Guess what-he's really nice. In fact I kept pushing his arm everytime he stopped touching me. Everday is an adventure for me. It seems like life gets better and better. I'm not lost anymore.

7/14/03 -  Lucy was a shelter surrender. She is very quiet. She's not sure of what's going on. I think it will take a few days for her to realize she's safe. She is calm, sweet and gorgeous.  Lucy is crate trained and house broken. Not one accident since she's been here. Walks nice on a leash but always wants to go back to the house. Will try and send pictures later today.
