11/12/11 - Well baby Maisie left us this afternoon to make the long journey back home with her new family. I have been excited about her leaving, told everyone that I was not going to miss her. She is a sweet happy baby girl that is full of life and energy. It's the energy that wore me out and made me think that I'd be doing the happy dance when she actually left. My children have been crying for days about her leaving to the point that by the time she left today they were already done.
Maisie looked so confused and frightened when her new Dad told her to hop into the car and no one that she knew was following. She had a a big "Oh no I don't like this" look on her face. Ok so now I must admit it I am sad and I truly will miss her her kidney bean dance and her happy greeting. She will have a great life with this fantastic family- I just wish she hadn't looked so worried when she left. Can't wait for the first report and pics from her family.

11/7/11 - Maisie is pending adoption

10/19/11- Hey everyone it's me Maisie. I am here at work with mom and have a bit of downtime so I thought I let you know a bit about myself. First of all I am really getting the hang of this pottying outside only thing. You should see how excited my foster mom gets when she tells me to "get to business" and I do. Humans sure can be strange sometimes, but I really really like it when she tells me what a good girl I am. My foster mom also keeps telling me that I am a SUPERSTAR. Personally I think that I am more like a shining star or better yet a shooting star!... zoom zoom zooming around!!! But then again when I am tired I can pass out like a falling star so let?s just say that I am an all around STAR ;-) ,,My foster family took me hiking in the woods one day. Boy was that fun. I had no idea there were so many different smells. At first I wanted to stop everywhere, but then I got the hang of it and we really covered some ground. We saw lots of people and other dogs. My people told me what a good walker I am, that is of course until I saw other dogs. Other dogs make my whole body vibrate with joy and excitement, and I have a really hard time not just running up to say hello. I love to meet new friends but some dogs don?t necessarily appreciate my style of saying hello. But hey what do they expect after all I am a B o x e r. I can't possibly say hello without throwing a punch or two first!   I like to meet people too. I am working on keeping my feet on the floor when I meet someone new. I have to admit though that no jumping is one rule that is really hard for me to remember. After all people are so tall and they generally do not get down on my level; so how else am I suppose to check them out? Foster mom says I need to learn to sit still when I meet new humans....yeah right!,,So that?s about it for now. I sure am ready for a family of my own; please let BAR know if you are the one for me so that you can take me home and I can shine for you.,

10/16/11 - Maisie continues to be a great little girl. She goes to work with me 4 days a week. While there has a Boxer and a chocolate Lab to play with. When things get too silly I just put her in her crate for a time out and she goes right to sleep..until the next go around. She now sleeps almost through the night-waking up once between 4 and 5 am to go out with a hurry call. This is just a quick and simple outside "business" trip and then back in with a cookie and a "go to sleep" as she goes back into her crate. As for the crate, she goes right in all by herself and is not afraid at all in there.
If you have always wanted a puppy now is the time to adopt this one. Maisie is easy to train, smart and very treat motivated. She is ready for you to help her become the best Boxer girl ever. Am also adding the promised video of Maisie in action to her page...enjoy!

10/14/11 - Here is a video of Miss Maisie:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHHxESpcSpc&feature=email

10/11/11- Maisie is doing great. She is working on her house training- we are at 36hrs + with no inside accidents. This is with us being hyper-vigilant, lots of outside potty breaks including 2 middle of the night potty outings. She is never unsupervised except when crated. ,Our dogs continue to be playful with her for a while but they tire out WAY before Maisie does. Maisie greets humans with sheer joy and happiness- she can bend her tiny body almost completely in half doing a sideways wiggles dance as she approaches someone new. Maisie is simply a puppy that needs time, training, leadership and love.

10/07/11 - Maisie arrived to us today. She was surrendered by an owner that did not have the time to exercise and train her. Maisie is super sweet and affectionate. We introduced her to two of our Boxers and she was very very happy to meet other dogs that play like she does- with some typical Boxer "punching". She is very energetic and after about an hour of non-stop play my boys looked shell shocked and begged for mercy. So we separated them and Maisie is now at my feet sound asleep. This is one very sweet, happy and playful Boxer puppy. Keep watching for updates, photos and videos of baby Maisie.
