Pertinent Information 4/16/04 - Butch is doing great. At our last visit to the vet he weighed in at 58 pounds. He has filled out nicely in the last year and half. He did form a small tumor on his left lower eyelid, but the vet did a wonderful job correcting it and the eye healed perfectly. He loves his bones and sleeps at the foot of my bed. He is like my shadow when I am home. He follows me into every room. He loves ekunuba with yogurt. He is a part of this family now as on easter when we were up at my parents he was sitting with the whole extended family in the den watching golf. Thank you for this incredible gift of a dog you help me find. He has brought me great joy, love and affection. 4/22/02 - Hi everyone, I am a few days late at updating, but the past holiday kept us busy Butch loves the warm weather now and we go out a lot more, especially in the evenings. He gets along great now with Marlon. They play together every so often when Marlon gets in the mood, or Butch just keeps at him until he stirs him up enough. Looking forward to a wonderful spring with the two of them. 3/20/03 - Hi its March already and Butch is doing fine. He and Marlon get along great now, Butch is always trying to get him to play. They did not like our big snow storm in February. I had to shovel paths for the dogs to go out that day. The weather is breaking and they love going out more now. thanks again for this great edition to our family. Butch is just so wonderful.!!! 2//17/03 - It's Feb 17th and Butch has been with me 3 months now. he gets along great with his new buddy Marlon. They hang out all day together and at night now they both sleep in my room. Butch loves to go outside alot and we go out all the time especially on my days off. Butch had fun in the snow today. Thanks again for a great dog. 1/17/03 - Hi everyone at Boxer Angles Rescue Group! Butch has been with me for two months now and we can't imagine what it was like anymore before he joined our family. He plays everyday with his toys, loves to chew his bones. We go for walks everyday and we visit next store all the time. They love at my girlfriend's house. They are always trying to give him some treats. We did good with the training. The cats and Butch hang out now in the same room. He tries to play with them once in a while, but they still are not sure about that yet. Butch will have a new companion this Sunday when we bring Marlin, the English Bulldog home. Well that's it for now! Will let you know how Butch and Marlin get along soon. Bye!!! 1/13/03 - Well the holidays are over now and Butch had a wonderful time. He received many new toys and snacks from various family members. He went with me to stay at my parents home in Westchester and was very well behaved for the different environment. My parents have invited him back again. He just gives me those boxer wiggles and a think he is even smiling at me lately. We both look forward to his new companion, Marlin who will be joining us shortly. Thanks again to my friends from the Boxer Angles Rescue Group. 12/17/02 - Butch has now been with me for a full month. We went to obedience class last nite and he is coming along with the pulling on the lease. He sleeps on my lap everynite when I watch TV. Tonight my daughter is returning from college to attend a local school, so Butch will have us both now to fuss over him. The cats are starting to let him come closer without hissing anymore. He loves this ball inside a ball I bought him. Thank you again for finding me just the right match, it was well worth the wait. 12/12/02 - Butch has been with me a month on Sunday. We are both very happy with each other. He is doing well at obedience classes. He plays all the time with a small stuff animal, he loves his rawhide bones. He is listening very well. Sometimes we go for long walks on the lease or he walk out at my side into the backyard and just runs all around. He loves his dog food with a little bit of yogurt now. My daughter is returning on Tuesday from College and will be attending a local school in the area so Butch will have more company during the day when I am at work. He likes the cats, but they still keep their distance. He tries to play with them, but they usually ignore him. His first bath went great. He was okay once I got him in the tub, although I did get somewhat wet too!! Well this it for now. Butch is very happy in his forever home. He makes me smile all the time. Thank you again for this perfect match. 11/20/02 - Butch has been with me for 4 days now, and he brings me so much joy every day. He has been okay in the crate in the day while I am at work and we spend every bit of the rest of the time together. Tonight we went in the car to the drive thru at the bank and he was so well behaved. His stool was a little runny last nite and he had a little accident, but he knew it when I got up in the morning. He did get into the cats food last nite just a little, so today I made him rice and chop meat for his two meals. Thank you again for matching us together. Jeanne & Butch 11/18/02 - Butch has been adopted. 11/16/02 - Butch is pending adoption. 11/13/02 - Hello from Boxer Mountain. Well Butch has been to the Vet. Had his neutering.....and all went very well. He had his heartworm test which was negative, is up to date on his shots, and a negative stool specimen. So this boy is really looking good! Can't believe how fast Butch is adjusting to the crate! He sleeps in it all night without making a peep....once he settles in. And now he goes in and out whenever he wants....guess he feels safe in there. "cause as good as he's doing...I do believe he gets a little overwhelmed with our crew. Butch is very submissive to both male and female dogs. Not an alpha dog at all. He's such a LOVE!!! Sometime...when being petted....especially on his head or butt..or if you bring your hand up suddenly........Butch flinches a little almost like maybe somebody didn't do the right thing with him. He can also detect a stern tone in your voice which makes him cower down. Butch really likes to play with our 18 month old female Dobie, Carlie. Diana did some one-on-one with Butch today and he just gave kisses and hugs.......he's a HUGE HUGGER!! We'd like to do some more testing with he and our Grandsons. Maybe this weekend. Believe me folks....if we weren't maxed out....we'd be filling out an application tonight and submitting it. So far Butch is almost too good to be true. 11/9/02 - Greeting from BOXER MOUNTAIN! For the short period we've had Butch......he's really doing great. He's the coolest looking guy! He really looks like he could take on Mike Tyson! But so far he likes other dogs, cats, and is good with our seven year old Grandson Dylan. Butch does not like to be crated. We introduced him to all our dogs and they played very nicely for about an hour in the backyard. Butch knows all the commands.........sit, stay, down......and especially COME. He's very well house-broken.....YEAH!!! Butch does not walk well on the leash but we'll work on that. I took Butch on a transport today. He was in the van for about four and a half hours with me and he was GREAT!! He loves to ride. Butch goes to the vet Tuesday, November 12th for shots, check-up, and neutering. I think he should be about 10 pounds lighter after the neutering. This guy has PERSONALITY-PLUS!! More updates to follow but let's try to get cool guy a FOREVER HOME before the holidays.
