Pertinent Information 11/17/03 - Hi Everyone, It's been almost a year
since I adopted Rosie and she is still just a sweet as ever. She is
getting better with other dogs. In October I got married and my husband
had Calvin a Chocolate Lab. He's nine years old and very sweet. We walked
them together before we got married and Rosie always had to be just a
little bit ahead, if Calvin got the lead Rosie would push him out of the
way. They are real good friends now and Rosie always wants to go out and
play, it use to be she wanted to be in the house all the time. 6/19/03 - Well its hard to believe its been six months since I moved to Maine with my new family. I have gained a couple pounds but basically I still look the same. I'm all settled in and feel very much at home here. I get what ever I want when I want it, I guess you could say I'm spoiled. I spend a lot of time outdoors with my family sniffing around and meeting new friends. (mostly animal friends since we live in the woods). I have chased wild turkeys, watched deer and even had the opportunity to bark at a moose! I do have a live in friend called Bart (he's a cat) but for some reason he don't like to bother with me much. I don't see too many people living in the woods but I sure do have fun running around. Finally across the road there is another family family building a new home, kinda good I guess because I'm getting use to other people now. Every time we get company I still get so excited that after five minutes or so I'm ready to take a nap! But I'm getting better. I hear everyone talk about me (they think I don't understand) saying how pretty I am and how much better I am around company. I work hard at it. All in all I really love my new home and I know I am very well loved here also. I think I will be here a very long time! 2/11/03 - Rosie is doing great. She has been going to classes now for the past five weeks. She has three more to go! She loves going, its her chance to be around other dogs. (not to mention get out some energy) She learns very well with the exception of jumping on people that come to visit. We are working this very hard. She is a very loving dog and loves to be around you all the time. I cant leave the house without her. At home she thinks she is a 50 pound lap dog! Anywhere you sit she will be on top of you! I will send in some new photos soon. 12/16/02 - Well its been two weeks now since Rosie arrived in her new home. I must say she is as happy as we are! She has really adjusted well to our home. She pretty much made her self at home on the couch from the very first night. She loves to play indoors as well as out doors. She likes to chase Bart (our cat) around the house, but Bart is not impressed. With time I'm sure Bart will come around. Rosie is kinda getting spoiled by everyone. She likes to go for rides to the store or even better to visit at other homes. She starts training on January 7, but I must say she has learned a lot on her own in the the couple weeks we have worked with her. She is a very smart girl and picks up very easy. Well she is sitting here waiting for me to go out to play in the back yard, so off I go for now. 11/29/002 - Rosie has been adopted. 11/27/02 - Rosie is pending adoption. 11/26/02 - Little Miss Rosie is doing great here at the Inn. She was loose with the 4 other dogs in the house all day today with no problems at all. She is doing well with the cats in the house and the kids. She is in her puppy stage and does need training, but for the most part listens well. Except when I say Rosie crate...she looks at me like...I don't think so. But she does go in and is very good. She takes many trips outside to work on the housetraining and she is doing very well in this area as well. Rosie is a very special girl looking for that very special home. 11/25/02 - Rosie, Rosie, pocket full or Posies...this girl is a blossoming flower. She is a beautiful flashy fawn female. I introduced her to 2 of my females when she arrived and she did terrific!! She is house broken but may still have a couple of accidents here or there...puppy stuff. We will check her out over the next day or two and see how she does with my other babies and our cats. I don't figure I will have much of a problem with her at all. She is very active and pulls on the leash. She will need to get in to obedience as soon as she can. Please keep your eyes pealed for further updates on this beautiful girl!! |
