10/20/04 -Gus has been with us a year now. He is real comfortable and happy. He completed his training this summer at Affordable Kennels and passed. He walks much better since the training. He was skunked once this summer but took the baths pretty well. He has a good appetite and loves walks and rides in the truck or car. He is doing great

3/27/04 - Gus AKA Marcus is really comfortable at the house, he no longer gets into things and is doing excellent with his toileting skills.  Now that the weather is nice he is enjoying being outdoors. He still needs some training while walking, but we will call back the training school now that the weather is nice ,I am sure lessons will resume soon.

1/22/04 - Gus is doing great. He is calmer and getting into much less. He doesn't like it out side in the snow but he loves the crate blanket I won in the auction.  He truly a great dog.

11/15/03 - Gus is doing great, but some times he does get into things especially food if you turn your head, but he obeys when you say no, He is gaining weight. He saw the doctor and is doing well he gained 4 lbs but I think he gained more now. Gus did have a bad reaction from the Lyme shot but is fine now. Next time they will pre-medicate him as per Dr . He also had 2 tics but they were removed. Gus is a real pleasure to have in our home and makes our home very happy. Bob and Denise

10/18/03 - Marcus has been adopted.

10/9/03 - Well Marcus has been with us for almost a week now and is doing great with ALL the dogs in the home...male and female. He is also very good with my little Shih Tzu, Skittles.
He has met the cats a few times and is ok with them. Wants to get close sometimes, the cats swat him and he leaves them alone. As with most dogs though, if they run, he runs after them...but not to hurt them only to play.
Marcus is doing well in his crate....no accidents at all and he is in there from 7:30 am until 4pm.
He has had a couple of pee accidents in the home but no poo accidents. I think he will be fine in time...just needs to settle. They are less and less...none today.
He is very good in the crate. If in too long and not allowed out to play he does get board and barks a bit. He spends a little more time in there then I like but he is a good boy and does well.
He gets along great with my Nephew who is 13 and likes to wrestle a bit with him.
I think that Marcus will make some family very happy. He is cute as a button and loves attention.
10/4/03
-Marcus has arrived at the Guardian Angel Boxer Haven and what a doll he is. He is a small guy, red fawn with a black mask. I have introduced him to my female and he pants to play, play, play. He was surrendered to us from a shelter. Seems he was in another shelter and was moved due to illness and not being able to get better. The shelter we got him from nursed him back to health and put 10 lbs on him!! Great work.
Marcus is now resting quietly in his crate. I had him out for a bit before and he was fine with no accidents in the house.
I will give him time and introduce him to my other female tomorrow and my male and the cats on monday. I don't foresee any problems with this boy but he will be evaluated further prior to placement.
Pictures will come tomorrow as my son borrowed my camera.
More updates coming soon.
