2/6/05 - Sorry for not updating in so long. Abby is doing great she really fits in at our home and life. We recently took her to the groomers and she absolutely loved it. She has also learned to sit on command well most of the time but all the time if a treat is available. But she is really doing great and is such a great girl!

11/15/04 - Abby is doing great, it has been a little over a month now and she is doing just wonderful. She has gained a lot of weight and looks great, she even went trick-or-treating with me on Halloween and just loved all of the attention. Since the last update she hasn't had any accidents and now can go from 10 at night to about 8:30 with out having to go to the bathroom which is great for me cause I don't have to wake up. She also is starting to understand commands whenever I saw come here she comes automatically and she is starting to sit on command too. Abby is such a great dog we are so pleased to have her with us That's all for now I will keep you updated month to month

10/13/04 - Abby is doing great in our home she is such a good dog. She has only had one accident which is great and the other day we brought her to meet with some of the extended family and they all just loved her. Her stitches are also looking good they are almost already completely gone and she is putting on the pounds

10/9/04 - Abby went to here new home today for a little R&R. She just had her spay but we felt it was fine for her to go and rest in a nice quite house instead of my zoo like environment. Is it illegal to crate
children? LOL I know Abby will be very happy.  She hopped right into the car with no problems. She has always been such an easy going girl and very adaptable. Congrats Abby you are one deserving boxer baby.

10/8/04 - Hi everyone. Abby went in today for her spay. I just called the vet to see how she was doing and they said she did great and is up wagging her tail like crazy. Abby will spend the night there and come back to me in the morning. Then she will be ready for her forever home.

10/5/04 - Abby is pending adoption

10/2/04 - Miss Abby has been with us for a week now and what a good girl she is. Her energy level is starting to come up a little and she is now playing with Maddie and the kids. The 2 of them were running in the yard yesterday and Abby is so fast and agile you would think she is part grey hound. Sh was tearing around the yard like she was 2 instead of 5.
Just to show you how adaptable and marvelous this little girl is Abby and I went on our first home visit together. We were scheduled to be there at 3:30 well our 1 hour trip turned into a 3 hour trip because I went the wrong way and Abby just took it all in stride. When we finally got the home visit and Abby greeted everyone with hugs and kisses inspected the house and then made herself right at home on the couch. Then it was back into the car for the hour ride home (this time it only took an hour).
Abby is a sweet girl. I have yet to hear her bark, she managed to sneak out yesterday out the side door but she stayed in the driveway and went back in when told. I have been crating her still at night and she still whines a little but now it stops after about 10 minutes. She rather not be in there. So if your looking for a petite little companion who is great with everyone she meets skin and fur alike then Miss Abby is your girl.

9/30/04 - What are you waiting for? Abby is ready for someone to step and give her a forever home. So she is a little skinny nothing a little food wont cure. Abby likes to go for walks and she rides really well in the car. She is very friendly and loves to meet and greet people with kisses. She has been very good with my 2 children and I think she would adapt well to most situations. Ideally I would like to see Abby in a home with a dog she can learn from and someone who is home more often then not. Abby is housebroken and crate trained but would prefer not to be in the crate. I think if she went to a home where the other dogs were crated the whole crate thing would be easier. Once she figured out that Our Maddie doesn't get put in a crate she didn't want to either. Abby pretty much leaves the cat alone so a home with a kitty would be fine. Abby has started to play. Her toys of choice seem to be stuffed. She likes to put them in her mouth and then shake her head really fast. Abby is a sweet girl don't pass her up.

9/27/04 - Hi, Please welcome Abby. Abby came to me last night after a brief visit with one our nearby foster homes. I don't know a lot about where she came from. She will be seeing our vet soon. Abby has been introduced to everyone in my family and a lot of my neighbors as well as some of the dogs in the neighborhood. I had no problems doing this as Abby has a very sweet personality. She seems to love everyone and is full of kisses.
Abby's only fault so far seems to be that she has food aggression. I feel like we will be able to overcome this once she realizes there is enough food to go around. She takes treats very gently and let my 2 year old give her one earlier.
Abby doesn't seem to know any commands so we will work on that. She is really well behaved though and seems to be housed trained. She is also crate trained and didn't make a peep last night when we were sleeping. She doesn't seem bothered with commotion (my husband is working on the roof) and she didn't wake up when the kids were up this morning. Abby also walked with me to school this morning I kept her on a very short leash but she was very receptive to the kids. I have no doubt that. Abby will adapt well to any life style. And hey check out that tail.

From one of Abby's transporters:  Well, I had the pleasure of transporting Miss Abby today. She is a real cutie. VERY thin, but incredibly sweet. She must like hip-hop for a lullaby, because she slept for pretty much the whole ride to meet Katie. What a doll.
