Foster has been adopted
10/3/05 - Foster is pending adoption to his FTA family.
9/11/05 - I wanted to let you know that Foster (as his Foster to adopt Dad, Jim, named him) was gotten from the a local shelter today. 9/11, it was his day of "rescuing."
Foster is going to stay with us until
next Saturday when he will be moved to Jim's home. Jim & his wife
weren't able (due to prior commitments) to take Foster this weekend
and Foster needed to get out of the shelter, so Gary asked if he
could stay by us until next week.
He is a beautiful boy! Very friendly to
all....humans, dogs etc.
Foster is VERY VERY skinny, you can
count all the vertebrae, see his hip bones sticking out, his
shoulder bones & all his ribs. He needs some good lovin' and
reassurance. He is quite skittish, ducks when a loud sound happens.
When my guys bark he runs around in all directions as he seems kind
of frightened by the barking. He has basically "glued" himself to
me. I get up, he is running ahead of me or stepping on me as I walk
because he is that "glued" He has no idea where I am going but all
he knows is he wants to be there with me. Foster is very cute. No
kisses yet, he doesn't seem to know what they are yet. He does like
to play. He & Porche have already had a few play sessions and he was
loving that. He knows a few commands but he is a youngin' so he
needs a lot more work. Foster has already "gone velvet," really
within a few hours of being here, so that is a good indication that
he does feel safe with us.
Everyone welcome this sweet boy, he is going to turn out to be
an even better beauty than he is today...as he now will know
love, compassion & kindness.
