10/8/05 -
Linkin has been adopted by his foster-to-adopt
family.
10/03/05 - Linkin's vet appointment was postpone
to Wednesday. We will definitely be keeping Linkin. He has been a
doll to have around, and he has become a member of the family.
9/28/05 -
I was able to make an appointment for
Linkin for this Friday. Hopefully all will go well.
He has learned our routine pretty good. I wake up at 7:00 and let him
out to the backyard he does his stuff and comes back in and immediately
wants to play. I will play with him for like half an hour, then I feed
him breakfast and then back outside for a walk and potty duty.
He is getting used to us now, so it is getting harder to get him in his
crate in the mornings, because he wants to play. But he is fine once in
his crate.
He prefers to go for walks at night because they are less people to
distract him or scare him.
One funny thing I learned is if you ever want to get his attention even
when he is playing with my wife, all you have to do is say, “Cookie”. Oh
boy how he loves his cookies. He will drop whatever he is doing when he
hears that word.

Saturday Linkin
woke up in such a good mood he was full of kisses right after his first
potty outside. He came in and was running and pushing us all over the
place. First time I see him like this.
Linkin is a great dog, he has been like a member of the family already
in the first week we have had him. He still sleeps in his crate with no
problems; he relaxes in it when ever he is tired. He has had no accident
in the house.
The only real issue I’m having with him is whenever we have to leave the
house with him; he seems to be very frightened of all his surroundings.
If I walk him outside and someone is coming in our direction he will
pull me back to avoid having to pass them. I really want to take Linkin
with me to work (I work in a gym). But I do not want to frighten him
more than he is now. It has been only a little over a week, so it’s
still too early to tell.
Other then that he is really a great Boxer. He plays in the house with
the neighbors pugs even if he outweighs him by three times his weight.
I am still waiting for approval for the vet and will update everyone
soon regarding this.

Linkin
has been doing well on his walk since we use a harness now. He still
pulls a little but is doing very good. Lately he is being stubborn about
going outside; he would rather stare out the front door then go outside.
It is a little busier outside now that school has started (I leave
across the street from a school).
Linkin still has not had any accident inside the house and is very
content about going into his crate. He loves to play with my 13 year old
son, they can wrestle for what seems like hours. He still seems a little
apprehensive in our backyard and would prefer to sit on the back porch
near the back door.
It’s only been a couple of days, so I am still waiting to meet the real
Linkin. But he is very lovable and a great dog. He fits the boxers breed
to the TEE.
9/19/05 -
I received Linkin this
past Saturday night. He is housetrained and sleeps in his crate by my
bed all night with no problem. He was left yesterday in his crate for
roughly 4 Hours while I went to work and my son returned from school. He
seemed fine when my son returned from school. He has no issues with the
crate and will go in on his own regularly.
Linkin only problem so far seems to be when he is on a leash. He can be
a real puller. I do not take him on walks, he takes me on walks. I will
be trying a few things with him in the coming days.
He has met other dogs and has no issues. He is always full of kisses. He
took a real liking to my wife and will ignore the rest of us when she is
in the room.
I will be taking him to the vet in the coming days. Will keep everyone
updated.
