10/17/05 - Sonia has been adopted by her foster-to-adopt home.

 

9/05 - A very sick little girl was transported to a BAR foster home who immediately took her to the emergency vet.  She was so sick that they kept her for a few days and then one of the vet techs then took her home to foster-to-adopt.  What a lucky girl!!

 

8/12/05 - Well this little girl arrived here finally. She is pitiful. I have to say I have never seen a dog that was this thin or ill feeling. She can't keep any food down and won't take liquids. It was decided that she should go to the vet today. They are keeping her for the entire weekend on iv's.
Along with her demodetic mange she has a slight case of pneumonia. I talked to one of the workers that is taking care of her tonight and she said she is in love with her and is going to put an application in. She is a very quiet little girl, she did wag her tail a lot when she met my 2 year old granddaughter. The vets say she will make it so I am very happy about that. Can't wait to get her home and help her get well. One thing she did do when I bent down to her size was to come over and put her head on my arm and just rested it there, I think she would have stayed there all night.
She is just the sweetest little girl.  I will update when she comes home.
