4/7/08 - I just wanted to drop a line and say how great Sara has been. She has been with us for just about 18 months and she is the best dog any family could ask for. She is soooo smart. It is obvious that she was with a great family before we all got to know her. She went on vacation to our lake house in the Poconos and loves swimming in the lake and is very quiet while we fish too. She stays with the kids when they play outside and always keeps her ears sharp to anything I need to know about. She is eating great and her check ups are smooth. I was able to wean her off of any medications she may have needed while in foster care. The groomers love her too. She still loves any ball and now that lacrosse season is here and the weather is great, she really gives the kids a work out trying to steal their lacrosse balls when they practice in the yard. She even tried to hunt a couple of the eggs at Easter. She loves going to the dog park and there is one white male boxer she is particularly fond of named Chancey. Now that she is at least seven years old, she can still bean with the best of them and everyone loves her. The dog park visits have her snoring the night away. Sara is still the prettiest dog we know. All four of my kids still fight over where she is going to sleep but SHE favors my oldest son. During the day she does not leave my side she is the best companion while we keep house. Sara knows what time the kids are due off the bus and will go to the door. So she is actually my alarm clock. Thanks for keeping in touch and for all you support. I'll talk to you soon! Love, Sara and family.

11/9/06 - Sara is finally here! You would never know that she hasn't always lived with us. She continues to impress all our visitors who waited for Sara with us. She hasn't had any problems and listens so well. She is a big fan of the men in our family. She really goes wiggle crazy when they come home. Lilli loves teaching her new tricks. When it's just Sara and me she never leaves my sight and is such a good girl. I did have to leave her alone for a couple of hours on her third day with us and she didn't make any messes or get into any trouble. So, of course, we were impressed again. Thanks to everyone who helped us. Gail, Sharon, Ed and Allyson. Thank you!!

11/6/06 - My ninth foster baby has left. It's amazing how many times I can do this to myself. I always think I'm going to be so upset and most of the time, I tear up and off they go and that's it. My fosters are never here for a short time and Sara was no exception. She is a wonderful boxer and this family is going to just be thrilled with her. Sara is a super funny boxer girl and I know they will love being her family.

11/2/06 - Sara is pending adoption

10/11/06 - Sara has been with us for nearly three months. It hardly seems like it's been that long. Sara is a
wonderful boxer, deserving of a forever home. Sara enjoyed the company of a bunch of  9 year old girls recently.

My daughter had a sleepover birthday party and you can imagine that Sara was a very involved party guest. She wanted so much to be outside with them, but I do not have a fenced yard and live near a very busy road, so she had to deal with keeping a watchful eye from the window. At bedtime, Sara had laid on the floor with the girls and looked quite settled. I'm not sure she was too happy with me when I took her into my room with me. But, you can be sure that first thing that morning, she wormed her way between the girls and laid all over them. She had such a good time with all the attention.

I have no more news on Sara. We continue day to day in our routine with no issues. She's a great boxer and so much fun. She has alot of energy for six. She truly acts like a dog much, much younger. She has begun to interact more with my girl and they have become terrific companions. I'm sure Darlah will miss her when she gets adopted, but there is always another boxer in need, that fills the home with boxer wiggles, again.

9/26/06 - It appears as though I have shirked my duties as the foster home. I have neglected to update on Sara in two weeks!! Well, I would have to say my only defense is that Sara has become so integrated into our home that I forget she doesn't belong to me.

A brief recap of Sara's needs would show that she cannot be alone for more than 4-5 hours a day which is a marked improvement over when she first arrived. She eats three small meals a day and takes a pill for her leaky bladder also three times a day. She loves children, any visitors, other dogs and all the affection you can muster. Sara is a love of a dog with no real issues to speak of. She thoroughly enjoys playing with a ball and she's very aware of it's location. Even if it's under your couch.

The other day while playing with her ball, it rolled under the couch. I had a blanket draped across the couch to finish drying and she kept staring at it and then began to pull it off. My husband and I were hysterical and allowed her to continue. She would bark a second at the blanket and then gingerly grasp the edge and begin pulling. We finally figured out her ball was under there and we lifted the couch, she made off with the ball and all was well. She's done this several times, she's tried to take the cushions off the furniture and one time she was so bold she tried to "chew" the edge of the couch in an effort to reclaim her ball. She didn't get very far, as her teeth are worn down from years of gnawing on rubber balls.

Sara had a bath the last week. She was a good girl. She didn't try to run the other direction when I tried to coax her into the bathroom nor did she try to escape from the tub, unlike some other fraidy cat boxer I know!! Sara is always terrific when I trim her nails or brush her, she never gives me a hard time during grooming.

All around Sara is a wonderfully playful boxer, full of love and wiggles for anybody. She is no trouble to have here. On the contrary, it is a complete joy to have her. She amuses us and loves us, all. She is such a sweetheart. I am surprised she is still in rescue. She will find her forever home, all in good time. For now, we're gearing up for our favorite season here in the beautiful mountains of northeast Pa. The colors are spectacular and I plan on getting Sara in a few new shots.
Hey, it would be a lovely time of year to come to Pennsylvania, see the wonderful colors of fall and adopt your even more wonderful boxer!!

9/12/06 - Mmmm.... lamb and vegetables. Sounds pretty good, right? You'd probably buy a can of this flavor dog food for your dog. Well, not if you're adopting Sara. I wanted to switch up from the usual chicken and rice. My husband swore he would divorce me if I ever bought Sara lamb and vegetable food again. Boxers are noted for being gassy. Sara, has been an overachiever in this area since eating this food. Peeeeuuuuuuu! My goodness, who knew that kind of smell could come from such a petite, pleasant girl! Ugh!

I think that's been our biggest problem with Sara. She's been a bit gassy with that flavor of food. But, that's been our biggest dilemma. She is such a sweetie pie. I love this dog! I've sent some new pictures of her. She is mindful of the goings on outside, so you see her keeping an eye on things from the front door. There is another picture of her on her back. She's wiped out from tearing up her newest stuffed squeaky toy. Good thing it was only 88cents! The other picture is Sara with her absolute most favorite thing on this earth.... A BALL!!!!

Boy, Sara is just a great little dog and has been a fun companion for my kids. She's a joy to take in the truck, I trust her exclusively with my children, she's had free run of the house from the get go and I've never regretted it. You should be so lucky to have Sara in your home. If my Darlah wasn't so rambunctious, Sara could stay. But, at three, my girl proves to be a bit too exuberant for Sara. Heck, sometimes she's almost a bit too exuberant for me.

Anyway, we're having a sleepover birthday party for my daughter at the end of the month and my mom has insisted that Sara come to her house that night. She loves this dog and is more than happy to have her as a guest. Sara is a well loved dog. She's a great representative for rescue and I take her out regularly to walk in public. BAR has had a lot of exposure thanks to Sara. I will be sad when she leaves, but I know when that forever home comes along, I'll be able to help yet another foster. But, until then, she's filling our lives with love and laughter and plenty of boxer wiggles!!

8/29/06 - Sara had a great time! My mother was kind enough to care for Sara while we enjoyed a long weekend
out of town. She stayed over Thurs through Sun afternoon and was terrific. She got along famously with my mom's labs and was over all a lovely houseguest. However, my moms cats went into hiding when Sara arrived. She never went after any of them, but they didn't give her the chance either. She chased them relentlessly and waited for them to emerge from under the porch or the bed. So, I will have to say that without doubt, Sara likes cats, but for all the wrong reasons!! She'd be best suited in a home without felines for her to chase.

Sara is doing well with being alone. She doesn't like that we go out to wait for the school bus without her. At first she barks a bit, but she settles and is content with looking out the window until I come back in. She thoroughly enjoys being with the kids and the first day of school she gave my husband and I some looks of surprise when we came back in the house without the children. She kept looking behind us, as if to say, "Aren't you forgetting someone?"

We are enjoying Sara immensely. She is a wonderful foster girl. We'll get some new pictures posted of her. I have quite a few, so it's a matter of picking out the ones I like best. Ones that capture Sara best. Check back for new pics this week!

8/23/06 - Unfortunately, I'm a few days behind on my update. I guess some days I forget Sara is a foster. We
have fallen so nicely into our routine and she is such a great pal to the entire family, I don't think of her as being anything but mine.

Sara continues to be a great dog. We have made some changes and she's done very well. We checked with the vet about feeding her three times a day instead of four. So, now she gets three meals a day and it's working out great. I also have been testing Sara with regard to being left alone. In the last week, she's been alone, alot. Sometimes for as little as two hours and sometimes for as long as, 6 hours. Sara is just fantastic.

My hope in changing her routine a bit was to show adopters that she could very easily fit right into their families. Now, she does have to eat and get a pill three times a day, but she is NO bother whatsoever. She has only had one accident in the house, very early on in the foster, but that was an isolated incident. She is not destructive either. Sara has a great time with toys. Boy, does she love toys. She has learned respect of the children when they have toys and she listens when they tell her "ah" or "hey". On occasion she would jump for their stuffed animals or toys, but she has learned that they are higher up than her and when they speak, she listens.

Just a quick note about Sara's mobility. She has no issues there. Last night I had been in my basement several times gathering papers and each time she went up and down those stairs with me. The final time, Daddy called to her from upstairs and she bolted up them two at a time. I was so surprised and it was so funny to see her run up the stairs like that!

I will be sending some new pictures of her next week. We are taking a long weekend and she will be staying over at my moms. She has a fenced backyard and my mom made sure to tell me to pack lots of toys. I'm sure Sara is going to have a great time at foster "Mema's". My mom is a great Grandma to all my fosters, but some of them worm their way into her heart a little quicker than others. Sara is no exception. Mema is getting Sara food for her sleepover and heaven only knows what else. It just goes to show you what a wonderful dog Sara is. When I say, everyone loves, I'm not exaggerating.

8/15/06 - I think I should take a picture of Sara wearing shades and she should enter the house on a red
carpet. Then, everyone would know what a star she is. I say this because yesterday Sara was one very
adored girl.

First of all, everything has been great since my last update. She has been left alone quite a bit
and does super!!! I don't leave her for longer than 5 hours or so and it's not everyday. There was
one occasion we were gone literally all day, my father in law came to feed and walk her and Sara
was a great girl. She has been just a joy.

Now, yesterday was a visit to the vet. Sara and my girl accompanied my son and I to his therapy,
since the vet is on the way home. While he was inside, I took the girls around the parking lot for
a walk, there's a large parking lot with plenty of grassy areas. She needs reminders on the leash.
She tends to pull, but with quick and consistent correction, she does well. We sat in the grass
for a while and she was approached by another mom who just lost her 9y/o lab to cancer. She couldn't
stop telling Sara how pretty she was and what a lovely personality she has and how soft her fur
was, etc, etc. I was getting a swelled head for her!! Sara was very nice to her and wanted to jump,
but listened when instructed to stay down. Then, another mom drove up to us and wanted to pet the
girls. I let them pet Sara as Darlah is not always so cordial to strangers. She said if she didn't
have three dogs already, Sara would make a great addition! I'm telling you she just has one of
those personalities that draws you in.

So after all the attention, she took a break. I offered her some water. Not thinking, it was on
the ground. She took a little slurp and then looked at me. I thought, hey isn't it cold enough for
you Princess? It didn't take long for me to figure out that it was on the ground, duh!!! I put the
bowl on the curb and well, she drank it right up. She is surely a creature of habit. She is so
used to eating from a raised feeder and obviously nothing else will do.

To top off her day of fun, I thought I was going to have to pull the truck over. She sat in the
backseat next to my son. The windows were down and she had just her head resting on the door and her
right side of her head was out the window. My son was hysterical because her ear was sticking
straight up and her lip was flopping in and out. I thought he was gonna pass out from laughing so
hard. He said she looked just like Chance in Homeward Bound. Oh, my gosh is this dog funny. I can't
tell you what a good time we are having with her.

Anyway, Sara did great at the vet. They loved her, of course and they said she was in great shape.
She got a clean bill of health and they did tell me not to let her turn into a pork chop. Gaining
too much weight would cause her problems for her knees and hips, so she is 56lbs and right where
she needs to be. So, this means Sara is all set to go. She is just waiting for the forever family
of her dreams.

8/6/06 - Oh Sara, Sara. This is such a funny dog. I think I've made some real discoveries about her over
these last few days. Sara took a ride over to my mom's this past Saturday. She spent the day in the
backyard and much to my surprise, she enjoyed the cats a little too much. At one point, she was
around the corner barking like crazy and I found her staring down a cat under the picnic table. She
did this a couple more times and then finally left them alone. So, I'm not so sure what the deal
was, but I'm going to test her further to get a clear understanding as to how she feels with the
 cats.

I also had the chance to introduce her to my moms senior labs. Sara thought they were terrific. I
think, in part, because they had no use for getting into any kind of play. These two old girls are
no longer in any condition to run after and play with another dog. So, Sara was princess for a
day. She had the fenced in backyard all to herself and a ball and the kids and she was just thrilled.
I think she would do best in a home with dogs that are close to her age which is found on her vet
 records to be six.

She has had one accident in the house. We left our bedroom door open  overnight and she wondered
around the house and we found her spot the next morning. This was the first time and I think it was
only because she was not closed up in our bedroom with us.

Sara is a great girl and she is learning so much, so quickly. I'm enjoying her very much, as is
the rest of the family. This includes grandparents. Our parents like to come and check out all of
our fosters and they are always so excited to meet the newest addition. Of course, they all think
Sara is great, even my sister who is a hard one to crack!! She even said Sara is prettier than my
Darlah. Well, I won't hold it against her, Sara is a really beautiful dog. But my sister, hmmph!
Darlah is gonna slobber all over her the next time she's here!!!! Continue checking back on Sara.
She's one of those girls you just love to hear about. She's a pleasant girl and any family would be
 blessed to have her.

8/1/06 - Wow, have we had a really great week. Sara has become a terrific houseguest. At first, she wasconfused what her role was here. She thought that she needed to run the show, particularly with my boxer, but after a few days she found out that foster mommy is Queen Bee!! Sara wanted to nip at my girl, if Darlah would run around the house or try to play. But Sara soon discovered that this was not acceptable behavior and she now will try to engage in play. I think my girl is too big and too exuberant for Sara and I think she finds Darlah annoying sometimes. Sara is six and my girl is three so maybe it's an age thing. So, playtime is minimal between the two. But, it's not for lack of trying on Dar's part!!

Sara has been left alone for several hours, several times this last week and there's never a problem. She is thrilled when we come home and will try to jump on us, but we find it best to pay no attention to her when we first come home. We don't say hi, we make no eye contact and within minutes she's settled enough so that we may greet her appropriately.

Sara likes to alert us when someone is here. Even if the cars slow down at the neighbors or she hears the garbage trucks, she barks. Since being here, I allow them to bark if someone is here, but I tell both Sara and my girl, "Alright. That's enough, girls." That pretty much ends the barking.  I think it would be maddening trying togreet your guest and having two boxers to talk over.

Sara is a great dog. She has no issue with anyone around her food bowl. She loves to take her little pill in a piece of canned food or a little nibble of cheese. She goes out 4-5 times a day to toilet and there's never been an issue with her relieving herself in the house. So, don't let the leaky bladder thing scare you. Her medicine works like a charm! Also, she was getting canned food prior to coming into rescue and they had recently started to soak dry food and she did well with that. So, she gets 4 meals a day. I alternate canned with soaked dry. She will eat whatever you put in her bowl. I make a nice soupy concoction and she likes that just fine.

Sara is a really super dog. She is great with my kids and has proven to be a wonderful companion for this family. She loves to go for car rides. She settles right in and sits back for the ride. I can't say enough good things about her. She's in love with balls of all shapes and sizes. She's happy to share with the resident girl, too. Sara is just lovely all around. She has a beautiful face and a super soft coat. Surely, the perfect forever home is out there, they just don't know she's here, yet!!

7/26/06 - Sara has been with us a week now. She continues to learn her rank here. She needs some reminders
that she is not in charge. She and my girl are getting along well, although Sara doesn't have much interest in playing with her which disappoints my Darlah greatly. Sara is much happier playing by herself with a ball for hours on end.

Sara has been home alone for a couple of hours here and there without incident. She has no trouble holding her bladder for any length of time and we've had no accidents at any time. She is eating well and has made a fine adjustment to the foster home.

Sara is a sweet dog. She loves nothing more than being with her people and playing. She turns herself in half when we come home, she's so excited to see us. Sara is not a jumper. She greets our guests the same, lots of wiggles and lots of kisses, if permitted.

Sara accompanied us on a home visit last week. She was too eager to get to the house and pulled on the leash. She was fine with their dog, but she wanted to check out the house and tried to show me where we should go. So, I know that in certain situations, we'll have to work on her leash manners a bit, but on her regular walks she's fine.

Sara is an easy going dog. I think I see her in a fairly active home. One that is at home most of the time and does not wish her to join them on long jogs or hikes. She's just not up for that. She does like activity and is willing to chase a ball at a moments notice, so a family that likes to be outside at home and would be willing to play with her would do great. She does need to be fed several times a day, but it's really no trouble. I fit them into the days schedule and she is doing well. Sara seems to do pretty well off leash, but due to my location we have limited time in this area. I only know this since she was off lead previously.

Most days I hardly know Sara is here. She is a very agreeable dog. She goes with the flow and is responding to the new schedule and the changes here. Sara is a very obedient dog and accepts the changes in routine. Sara is no trouble at all and is quite the easy girl to get along with. She would make a terrific addition to any home, but particularly ones that like to stay at home and relax with their boxer.

7/22/06 - Ok, I know nobody is perfect. So, I'll tell you what problems we're having with our new foster
Sara. ......Uh....... Now, hold on I'm sure there's something. Just give me a second. Hmm.... Nope. I got nothin'!! This dog is great. She is hands down, the easiest foster we have had since we started fostering for this rescue. This dog only knows how to be sweet and pleasant and friendly and
playful. If she has an aggressive bone in her body, it's broken.

Obviously, Sara continues to be a fantastic addition here. For a dog that really spent little time on a leash, she walks excellent. So well, in fact, that I had my 8 year old take her out, supervised and she was no trouble. Sara knows just about any command. She is super obedient.

Sara spent most of her time off leash, previously. So, while leaving the leash on her, I allowed her to walk freely in the yard. She sniffed around, ate some grass and laid down. She made no effort to run and when she started to get to far from me, I called her back without any problems. I do not have a fenced yard and kept a very close eye on her and had my husband with me if she decided to stray. That just wasn't the case. She had no interest in getting away.

Sara and my girl have made an agreement. You stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours. My
girl is working on allowing another female into her house. They tend to avoid each other, but there
is no exchange between them. Sara would love to play, but Dar is just not ready for that yet. They
are free in the house together and under close supervision. Sara wants to be everybody's pal.

Today I plan on taking her on a home visit with us. She is a wonderful girl and really shows how
great a rescued boxer can be. She is no exception. Sara is a beautiful dog both inside and out. I
can only sing her praises. Keep checking back on this sweet baby. I am sure hearing about her will
make you smile too.

7/21/06 - Yesterday was the first full day with Sara in our care. I'm learning about her needs. She is
learning to tell me when she is ready for something. Sara needs four small meals a day and yesterday I
didn't think it was time for meal number three. However, Sara was kind enough to let me know. She was pacing a bit and wiggling trying to get my attention. Well, it worked. I took her out. Yeah, me, right? I picked up on her signals! She tinkled only a little and then she kept trying to what appeared to me as, playing. Finally, she became vocal. One little bark and I thought I was going to pee my pants. It took my eight year old to say, Uh mom, maybe she's hungry. Oh, duh! Sure enough that was it. Ok, so not so perceptive on my part, but I'll get it! Sara is going to be very patient with me, I just know it.

Although, Sara has a leaky bladder, the medication obviously helps that. She has been here two nights and one day. She has no trouble holding her bladder, providing she gets out when she needs to.  She will get last walk at 9pm and then not again until 6am and there's no problem. Yesterday, I actually left her alone for 1/2 hour and then an hour and she was great. I do not foresee that ever being an issue, as long as she gets her medicine and you don't leave her alone, all day, everyday.

Sara has such a funny personality. She is a very easy going dog and I can't stress that enough. She is fitting right in here, as though she's known us all along. She greets everyone with wiggles and pure excitement. She really loves toys. She's taken a particular fondness to a stuffed squeaky hot dog. Oh my gosh, she's too funny with those toys. Sometimes when she needs a break, I will take the toys and put them up or she'll play to pure exhaustion.

Sara had two visitors yesterday, my realtor and the Avon lady. She barked to let me know they were
here and when introduced she was a typical boxer. Sara does have to get used to the noises here. We live in the country, but on a main road that sees lots of traffic. If someone is pulling into the neighbors, she barks once, but I say her name once and she doesn't bark again. She's just making sure I know that someone may be coming here and I should probably stop singing along to the radio, as if I can carry a tune. Thank goodness she spares me that embarrassment!!

Sara had more intros to our Darlah. Sara has no trouble whatsoever. My girl tends to need a little more time, so outside she's an old chum. Inside her house will need some more time. So, for now, my girl is gated on the sun porch while Sara has the house. Darlah will concede, but after only one day, she's not quite ready. Good thing Sara is such a sweetie pie.

This dog has done nothing, but bring a smile to my face since she arrived. She is a pleasant girl to have here. She's a wonderful companion and adores my kids. We are always cautious with any new dog, no matter what their history. But, with Sara, it's simply because it's routine not because she needs the time to adjust to my kids 8 and 5. She's all too happy to engage in play and allow them to love her. It's a good thing, 'cause I don't think she has a choice!! You can't help, but fall in love with this girl.

7/20/06 - After a very tearful farewell, Sara was "officially" taken into foster care by BAR. Due to
circumstances beyond their control, this family was unable to take Sara on their move out of the country.
Clearly, Sara was a very well cared for girl, as she has shown us how wonderful she is.
Sara rode home very well in the car, after an already long ride. She greeted my husband with lots of wiggles. She checked out the house and quickly found the basket of toys!!! She thought they would look better tossed about the house, so she proceeded to empty each and every one. She was great all night, so we made brief intros with our girl. They did the typical butt sniffing, but that was about it.
Sara is a very playful girl. She has a knock kneed appearance from patella luxation, but it doesn't slow her down. She plays like a dog much younger. Sara is very obedient. She has not had much experience with a leash, but walks very well. If she starts to get ahead, a quick correction and she's back at your side.
When I woke up this morning, Sara greeted me in typical boxer fashion, one big wiggle!! She was a happy girl this morning, great all night and happy to get breakfast! She whimpered a bit when my son left for day camp, but quickly settled in at the feet of my daughter and is now resting.
We will do more introductions with our girl later today. It's important for Sara to get adjusted to her surroundings without overwhelming her. But, I expect nothing but wonderful companionship between my girl and Sara.
Surely, Sara is not to be here long. She has an amazing personality. She's a beautiful girl and I don't even know she's here. She's making a fine transition here and it speaks volumes as to the kind of girl she is. I am going to enjoy this foster very much. She's just too cute and is making a perfect fit.
Sara does have a leaky bladder , but takes PPA to control it.  She had bloat in 2005 and must eat small mushy meals in an elevated position.  Sara needs a family who is willing to deal with her slight problems and will give lots of love in return.

6/24/06 - Sara came to our family from CT Boxers in 2003.  We were looking for a Doberman, but when we saw her face on Petfinder, we fell in love!
Sara has had one other home.  She was given up because the owners did not know what they were getting into by getting a dog that requires exercise and attention.  She had terrible separation anxiety.  We feel that she was probably gotten as a puppy and left in a crate all day during her childhood.  To this day she cannot be crated, but she does ok with boarding.  She no longer has this anxiety.  I have left her at home for 5-8 hours on rare unplanned occasions and she does fine.
Sara has a wonderful disposition.  She is very maternal.  She lets me know if one of the kids is calling me and I don’t hear it.  She loves to play ball more than anything.  When she is indoors she will let you know if she is hungry or needs to go out, but we usually get her out enough that she doesn’t need to come to us for it.  When I am working at my desk she curls up at my feet with a ball and just stares at it – sometimes chews on it a little.  The only hazard would be if the kids are playing ball – they either have to allow her to play or play away from her because she WANTS that ball!  She will jump up for it.
Sara is protective of us with strangers until she sees that we are comfortable with them.  She is not threatening around friends and family but look out if you’re not supposed to be here!
Sara is used to a fenced in pen – ours is 30x50.  She has never used radio fencing.  She isn’t on a leash very often, but she does know basic commands – we just don’t have that much opportunity to use them.
Sara has been on many road trips and loves them.  As long as she gets a pee break every 2 hours she’s good.  She does very well in a hotel and other people’s homes.  She is well socialized to other dogs.  She does great at the dog park.
Sara bloated in 2005.  She went into cardiac arrest and was brought back to life.  We chose to have her stomach operated on.  It was tacked to a rib as is commonly done.  Unfortunately, her esophagus was damaged during the bloat.  She is perfectly healthy but needs to eat mashed up soupy food – 4 small meals a day – in an elevated position.  We feed her on the top step of a step ladder and she does great.  She can eat a dog biscuit.  We do not feed her people food.
Sara was born with Patellar Luxation.  This does not cause her any pain nor does it slow her down at all.  Her back legs just look bowed in at the knee.  It is strictly and aesthetic problem for her.
Unfortunately, w
e are unexpectedly moving to Paris and will not be able to take her.  We would NEVER be doing this if we could avoid it - we love this dog very much!
