- Diamond has
settled into her forever home quite well. She is still very much a
puppy at 1 yr. We are currently helping her learn the rules here
including counter surfing, furniture, garbage, toilet water, guinea pig
curiosity, and a tad of house training. Yup, she's a pup!
She has gained about 12 lbs and is a healthy 65 lbs eating about 3 cups
a day of Eukanuba Boxer formula. We dropped it from 4 cups to
maintain this weight. Perhaps more if need be. She really
loves to be included with the family and is a sweet heart to the kids.
Diamond has already assumed the watch dog role much to the chagrin of
the wind as it seems to be the only threat she finds worthy of a barking
spree. With the cold, it has been tough to get her as socialized
as we would like, but as soon as the weather breaks, she will be meeting
many new friends. Winter can't end soon enough. She has been
great with the crate training and willingly goes in at night and when we
leave. Of course she gets a treat for doing so too.
That's all for now.

Diamond continues to do well in
her foster home. She was introduced to our 3 boxers yesterday and
it has been a play fest ever since. There were no problems at all
with introductions. Diamond was so happy to finally get to play
with the other fur babies. They romped in the snow together most
of the day. We groomed diamond yesterday also and I have to tell
you, she doesn't mind a bit. She enjoyed being washed and brushed,
and didn't even mind having her nails done. Diamond remains a love
bug. She wants to be with someone all the time. She sleeps
with her head on me every night. My children adore her. She
is so gentle with them and she
will chase them around the house all day. If I didn't have
3 boxers already, she would be staying right here. She walks well
on the leash. Just a little pulling. We are still working
with her manners. She is stubborn, like most of the breed, and she
doesn't listen to NO the first time. Diamond has learned sit and
stay so far. She also knows OFF===to get her off the furniture.
She really is a great dog. Get those apps in fast.

Diamond is a beautiful,
affectionate girl who came to me from a Brooklyn shelter 24 hours ago.
She is young and full of puppy playfulness. She has been such a
snuggler so far. She absolutely needs to be with someone who will
make her part of the family. Diamond is a couch buddy and also
loves to snuggle up close to you in your bed. I put her in the
crate and she cries so since she is such a good girl, I let her come to
bed with me. This is also one dog that I would not place in a home
without children. She loves every child in my neighborhood.
No growling or aggression at all. She does a boxer bow and wiggles
like crazy. She follows my children around the house and loves to
romp with them in the yard. Diamond needs some work with her
commands. She was a stray
and I don't know how much human attention she has had in the past.
So far, she is a very good girl. You will fall in love with her
fast. She had 2 piddle accidents in the house but after I
corrected her and sent her outside in the yard, she seems to have gotten
the idea. I should also mention that the shelter said that she is
possibly a boxer mix, but she looks all boxer to me. She looks exactly
like my female and has the boxer personality traits. Get your apps
in on this beauty. I will send in pictures ASAP.
