6/16/10 - It is really hard to beleive that Cody first brightened our doorway over 18 months ago.  Cody is truly a special boxer. His calm demeanor often belies the energy, and exuberance typical of the boxers we all know. We have anothe boxer Nelly who is 18 months older than Cody and they are inseperable.  ,When they are not laying on top of each other, Cody and his older "sister" Nelly, enjoy long daily walks along the D&R Canal or at the beach depending on the time of year.  We have gained some local fame as the "Belle Meade Boxer Association," with pictures available on my FaceBook page! We couldn't be happier and I would love to share some photos of my "buddy boy" if possible. Thanks to BAR for bringing us together.

11/23/08 - Cody has been adopted

11/22/08 - Cody is pending adoption

11/9/08 - Yesterday we had a very young and very cute boy join the Wings and Halo Haven foster home. Meet Cody, born on 8/3/08. As you can see, this boy is adorable, but what boxer puppy isn't. Cody was purchased from a pet store on Tuesday, and within a day, it was learned that his girlfriend was very allergic to him. The owner was very upset, and of course the pet store would not take Cody back. The owner knew he did not want just anybody to take Cody, so he contacted Boxer Angels.
Cody arrived on Saturday. He was a bit nervous, which was totally understandable. We took Cody into the yard to get familiar with the new smells, and pretty soon he was into full exploration mode. We let out a few of the foster dogs to meet him, a couple of 6 month old pugs and Cody realized he was in doggie heaven :o)) Soon afterward Cody was out in the yard with all 13 dogs. He loved it.
He is eating great. So far he seems comfortable downing 2 feeding of 1 1/2 cups of puppy food, with some fat free vanilla yogurt and pieces of chicken cutlet on top.
We have been crating him at night, and he has kept his crate dry. During the day he has had a few accidents outside of the crate, and has also done his business outside too, so he is learning.
He is typical puppy, a joy to have around, and surprisingly, does not have puppy breath. We are enjoying what will be, for sure a short stay.
