1/20/09 - It's been about a month now since we adopted Roxy and she's doing great! She has had some minor health issues (ear infection, gardia, allergies, and a foot infection (2x) ). At first she had some separation anxiety but now seems to be doing much better. We hired a trainer who told us to use a crate, which we are and which Roxy seems to like when we are away. She is a supersweet dog who loves people, kids and other dogs. She wants to make friends with everyone and if another dog is around will just plop her but right in their face so they can get to know one another. Yesterday at the vet she saw a cat in her carrier and howled like a beagle. It was really funny! Hopefully we'll get her allergies and itchiness under control so she is more comfortable. Right now the doctor has her on steroids, an antibiotic and special food. This just started  yesterday so lets hope it works!

1/3/09 - Sammi loves her! From day one Roxy went right over her. In fact one of the times she did  have an accident was my fault because i thought Roxy was crying upset that Sammi went to bed and had the door closed.  Sammi helped me give  her her dental chew and cookie while I gave Roxy her medicine.  Right now Sammi's watching cartoons while Roxy is laying about 2 feet away from  her.  She's really amazing with the kids. And our friend's daughter Rachel said how she liked Roxy so much better than sheba (If I was her I'd feel the same way considering Sheba always growled at her).

I've never met a more social/lovable/huggable/kid friendly/dog friendly dog than Roxy! She loves kids, is every dog's friend. She will walk up to a dog and say "hey be my friend" and sticks her but right in their face so they can sniff her.  Even at the vet's office she didn't get upset. She just let them pick her up and prod her and only moved because she wanted to give Jason a kiss. She's taken a liking to sleeping with us and lounging on the couch.

12/11/08--Roxy continues to do well and open up so we can see her true personality...she is such a great dog, she is not crated at this point..she gets along so well with the other dogs in the home and is totally house trained! She is eating well, starting to play with the other dogs, she bounces around and loves for you to play with her.  She is not a barker and does not dig in the yard...I really can't think of a bad thing to say about this girl with the exception of the drooling when she first arrived...the first couple of days I carried a rag around to wipe her mouth as she did drool quite a bit but that has stopped now...like I said she really is a great dog, will fit in most any home.

12/8/08 - Roxy has been with me for 4 days and is doing well...she is totally house broken, crate trained, good with dogs, cats, kids, birds.  She is a bit on the shy side and did not eat her first 2 days she was with me but is eating fine now.  Roxy is a super dog with no issues at all, she is happy and just loves attention.  I do think she would do best as an only dog or with one other dog otherwise she gets a bit overwhelmed.  I haven't seen her play with any toys yet but as she settles into a home I am sure she will be more playful.
I have dogs ranging from 8 pounds to 75 pounds and she is fine with them all.  I have 2 cats and she totally ignores them.  I also have 3 birds and she could care less about them as well at this point.
This girl is pretty close to perfect so don't wait too long to apply for her as I am sure she will go quickly!
