12/7/09 - Baby is a wonderful dog I think we are very lucky, she been fitting in just fine. She was very curious her first few days, a little nervus but now is learning all her new rules and her area, I was worried about her trying to run off with so much land to run and play on and many small animals to chase, but she doesn't. We can let her out of the house already with out her leash at time. She has been good with the cats, we just remind her that they don't want to play, she doesn't understand why every body doesn't want to play with her. We are still working on her doing her business in the proper places but, great strides have been reached with a few compromises on our part that we will work on in the spring. Thank you to every person that we worked with and helped us with bring Baby to her new home. BAR has been wonderful, honest and very easy to work with. 12/2/09 - Baby went to her Forever Home today 12/2/09. She never even looked back. I know she is going to be very happy there. 11/26/09 - Baby is pending adoption 11/4/09 - Baby went to the Vets on 11/2 for a re-check on her Urine track infection and unfortunately she still has it, so a different antibiotic was prescribed. Hoping the new one will cure her infection. Other than that, Baby is now 53 lbs and doing well. Her house training is going well too, she is down to either none or one a day and that is some times our fault because we don't notice her at the front door. She loves to go outside and play in the yard. She just wants to follow you around and make you happy. Oh yes, she loves her baths too. Baby is wonderful Boxer and with her 2 different color eyes (one blue and one brown) she will make a great companion for any family. Could that be yours? Get your application in for Baby now. 10/26/09 - It has been a full week that Baby has been here with us and she is doing great. Baby's house training is going well, she has only peed once a day in the house, other than Saturday when it was poring all day, she went twice. Much better than when she came to us and it was all the time. We have taken Baby out in our yard without her leash and she loves it. She listens very well and comes when you call her. Now she can run and play with her brothers in the yard. She loves playing fetch and brings it back to you as well as just following you around the yard. She loves being outside. She walks well on a leash and loves the car. ,Baby doesn't chew on anything, like furniture, only her toys and she loves if they squeak. She also doesn't jump on you or guest when you walk through the door, just that boxer wiggle she does and a hug once in awhile. Baby will make a great dog for any family. Is that you? 10/19/09 - It has been 3 full days with Baby and she is doing well. She has had a few accidents in the house. We are working on that with her. We take her out every hour to hour in half and it does seem to be working. Other than the few accidents in the house, Baby is house trained. She doesn't chew or whine. She will bark if the doorbell rings or if my two dogs bark, she just will join in. She is crate trained. We went out today and she was crated for about 2 1/2 hours and she did fine. No accidents. Baby knows her name, sit, stay and loves to give boxer hugs. She does not jump on you when you walk in the door. She met a lot of people this weekend, our grandchildren and family. Baby did great. She loves our grandson who is 3 and followed him everywhere. Baby is great on a leash, no pulling and she walks right along side you. She just loves to follow you around the house. We are trying to put some weight on Baby, because she is on the thinner side. Stay tuned for more updates on Baby. 10/17/09 - We picked up Baby today and she is settling in well. She has met our dogs and the intro's went well. Baby needs to put some weight onto her. We have started out with some pasta and green beans for dinner, mixed in with her dog food. She likes pasta and the greens. Baby is crate trained I am told. She goes in without a problem for me, but she is enjoying the couch with her brothers. We have been taking Baby out every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to due her business. I was told she is somewhat house trained, so that is why she is out so often and so far so good. She walks well on the leash also. She seems to know basic commands and her name. I was told she is good with kids and we will find that out tomorrow, our grandchildren are coming over along with some more company. We will see how Baby does with everyone tomorrow. Stay tuned for more on Baby. Pics to follow tomorrow. 9/16/09 - Baby loves to ride in cars. She is great with other dogs. She is crate trained and we are still working on the potty training. We have been working with her to sit and she does, she hugs as well and will lay down. Baby is a great dog and would be great for a family. She is great around kids both under and over the age of 5. She also like to walk but hates being on the lease outside for potting.
8/24/09 - Well geting baby was a great deed. When she came to
us, she just out of the car and made friends with me immediately. At
first she had problems with
going to the bathroom
in the house and peeing in her cage. She didnt eat. Now, holy cow,
does Baby ever have her appitite back. She does not like to be out
doors and we try to give her some
fresh air kennel
time, even though she barks non-stop, but we are working on that. She
comes to her name and knows how to sit and lay down. We still have
accidents but we are working on that too. She seems to be good with
other dogs. Unsure of cats, none in our immediate area. |
